With CP taking over operations of KCS here is some of my thoughts and facts about what this means for CP rail Also I have bad news regarding CP heritage unit 7011 Join this channel to get access to perks: / @tonyvrailfanning
Nice perspective ! Also for those interested have activated a new broadcastify railroad radio feed site on 4/23 which covers Wsor , Cpkc , Up and Cn in wiconsin listed as : Southeast Wisconsin Railroads...
Good video , happy that CP is keeping the paint scheme as is for now. We will all get used to it eventually. It is very sad to hear about the Heritage unit 7011and it's two companions on that CP freight. Glad the crew made it out alive and thanks to the local residents who come to their rescue.
Thank you, Your correct we will get used to the name change eventually. Im glad they wont be painting many units to start off so we will see lots of color on the trains.
@@MidwesternRailfan your incorrect. not only did CPs Keith Creel make it very clear in an interview 2 months ago that they will remain in red but also that the beaver logo was to remain. At the spike ceremony on Friday they even had one in the new paint scheme in the background.
I wonder why the Panama Canal Railway logo was not included. That railroad was fifty percent owned by each KCS and MiJack Products. According to Wikipedie the new "parent" companies are CPKC and MiJack.
They should have added the American Eagle and the Mexican Eagle with a snake on their new logo. Not very many Americans will be amused to see the Maple Leaf on the new logo
I have a nice idea for a CPKC paint scheme. I am really by bummed about the Heritage Units. I hope CPKC can replace them with new 70 MACs in that beautiful and historic CP color scheme!
Hopefully, CP will repaint another unit to replace that one but I’m honestly not holding my breath. At this point they are spending a lot of money on the south lines of KCS.
Another sad day for railfans. As a former KCS employee I'm sad to see the KCS disappearing...and it will disappear in time just like the UP kept the MP lettering on repainted equipment, and eventually removed all trace of the MP...now the MP has disappeared completely. How are railroads made better when there is hardly any competition and fewer miles served?
I understand your feelings, and it is a shame to see these railways get merged into larger companies. We are losing a lot of our individuality when it comes to this. I do believe the CP will do a good job of keeping safety a priority and that kCS employees will be treated well
They will keep the gold beaver as you see in the graphics. I know some don’t get it but the beaver symbolizes resiliency and persistence as CP had a very difficult build through the mountains and to this day it is one of the most challenging rail lines in North America.
