i have for years wondered (and criticized) the need to add distortion/fuzz/dirt onto everything. even if you want distortion, you probably already have a fave dirt pedal that you use. it has never made any sense, so i love seeing this.
It always made sense. You use the distortion to emulate the saturation of a cranked tube amp or just wake up a boring tone. 100% clean bass is so boring
@@itsratso. Really clean uncompressed bass quitar won't cut it next to a produced plug in - check out don't stop now by dua lipa (outrageous bass tone that is all fake). Most classic recordings aren't clean, and that vintage stingray has a sweet preamp tone thats not clean

I use it! I love it! It’s a great DI. I pair it with HX Stomp so that I can get all the sounds I want, but allow this pedal to serve as EQ and give front of house exactly what I want.
Yes. I have - Tuner, origin effects Cali 76 into HX Stomp into the AG pedal. I rarely use the amp and Cab sims in the stomp because I want the AG sound and I have the AG700 head and cab. I want those sounds. But if I plug in direct to house I should still be able to get my same tone. I use the AG pedal for quick eq settings and I like the boosts to get an easy slap tone.
