Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different (or the same) result is not the definition of insanity, IT IS A SYMPTOM OF INSANITY. Definition of insanity is: unsoundness of mind.

Actually it's a little bit confusing to find that the same result can be done with a different effect... Shouldn't it be the purpose of the mind to compile several different scenarios and choose the best possible outcome from each different effect for consequence? _Phoenix

I guess it depends how you take it. If you start with the thought of disproving the theory you can do that, but it doesn't mean the version of the theory that you're trying to disprove is going to be acurate.

the definition of insanity is not doing anything. that would suggest that you are in control of your insanity. insanity is defined by loss of control of your mind and not knowing the difference between right and wrong. not knowing what is right. like killing yourself while killing others because you do not know that you are only supposed to hurt other people if you are a serial killer. i do not know the difference between hurting myself and hurting other people. i usually hurt myself because i can tell i am hurting someone
