Man, I honestly don't even know what happened to this game... was it cancelled? is still on producion? what happened...? I was so excited for this and it breaks my heart that nobody talks about this now.
It's still active and making very slow progress. There's a dev log that updates every few months, and they have a discord server. I commend them for going strong and steady despite the lack of attention all these years. I really want to see this ambitious game finished.
The story is that they're still doing it, the problem was that they lacked resources back then, and also had technical problems along with design changes, but as you may know recently they showed us footage for the raptor sandbox thingy, so I'm glad they're still kicking after all these years

Pixeljam Games sorta late on the train, but i am hype about this, i'm almost sure i might possibly have cried a bit whenit was cancelled the first time...maybe. Dino run was the first pc game i played and while i cannot donate(still one year ago from majority) you have my full support and wishes of luck, i'll try to get a few people i know that also liked the game to share the info of the second try for this kickstarter.
I love your game Dino Run, I remember playing it when I was 11. When I was at high school, I showed my friends the game and they enjoyed, I wish Dino Run Definite Edition (a combination of all versions of Dino Run including enter planet d, marathon of doom and endless aka chrome version) are on other platforms like Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch
when i was a kid i was always playing dino run and i just found out that pixeljam is making DINO RUN 2. Its going to be an awesome game. Good luck Pixeljam!
1- There are several pterodactilys, will it be possible to play with all? 2- Will the T-rex be an enemy? 3- How do the dinos go to the city ?! Time Machine?
1. Yes you'll be able to play as many of the pterosaurs as they'll be alternate skins for the pteranodon though some such as the Quetzalcoatlus will be a npc. 2. The T. rex is a new form of doom in the game like the pyroclastic flow, one bite from the rex and you're extinct. 3. The dinos got to the modern era because they survived underground for millions of years.
@@bluesky_cupy5158 its gone the only thing u run away from is the predators, like the classic dino run they might add it as a minigame to survive again but if the doom wall was still here to this day humans would be living with the dinos underground
You guys should release some kind of demo of Dino Run 2, people paid for this, and as far as I know no game has been made. It would get people more hyped up too.
I really Want This Game to be complete, The trouble is That anyone knows The proyect, i would like to Give a 100k dollars, But i Dont have That Money, It makes me sad The idea That The Game maybe It Will Never be complete ;-;
Remeber playing Dino Run etc. back then, I found later out Dino Run 2 was planned. Guys do you maybe know when the Game will be released or is it cancelled? I also want to thank the Creators cause this was (imo) a really great Flash Game (And still is), Dino Run 3 looks even more awesome!
The game is still in development. Progress is just slow. The main challenge is funding, as they do need to pay people to work on the game. I think they're doing regular/weekly streams regarding its development.
Does anybody have a release date? I noticed they had their pledged goal so I was hoping for this to come out soon (it being over 3 years). then again, I'm somebody who actually waited for bannerlord.
I don't think that will be possible, dino run 2 is a different game because it has more physics, more dinos and many more! But the same to the classic prehistoric platformer, it's just an opinion and I think Pixeljam is working on it, who knows!
As far as I know these will be featured: *New doom walls (like avalanches and Tyranosaurus stampedes) *New timelines *A possible storyline *New dinos *The basic story is that the Dinosaurs have to come out of their hideouts through time do to there being dangerous in them
Will there be an option to play as a feathered velociraptor? I know that the game is not about accuracy (obviously) but I still hope so because I like feathered raptors and I think that being speedy will fit me (in the game)... Edit: I think there should also be a scaly deinonychus option for the people who like scaly dinosaurs.
Dodoraptor and other animals There is deinonychus which is feathered as shown in “The Dinos” part of the video. You can just be that if you don’t like the classic raptor.
The original raptor will have a feathered skin to it as for the deinonychus I doubt they'll be a scaly skin for it but the it does have oviraptor for an alternate skin for it
The current dino roster that are planned to be playable are triceratops, stegosaurus, pachycephalosaurus, raptor, deinonychus, archaeopteryx, carnotaurus and pterosaur. A few other dinos are on the wishlist and might make it onto the roster
