Tips from someone who owned the non-se version for 4 years (which I believe still apply): Patch the mesh head for the kick drum (yes, it's mesh, it's supposed to stand up) Get ready for copious warranty claims on the ride and crash cymbals as I believe they haven't changed to design there Watch for the on-module mixer sliders going belly up. I believe the connection becomes loose and they basically become static after a while and only react to the level the slider is at when you are pressing against the slider itself Hook it up to a laptop for use with VST as this will give you the best sounds, and control over the velocity curve, etc. Cheers!
Nice 805 series! I have the same kit!! Been using it for 10+ years now. And I’m thinking about getting this alesis kit, which is why I’m here watching. I played it a few months back and the sounds /loops are awesome ! 🤘🏻
❤ my Strike SE. Own for about 6 months. I did some tweaks to it by adding VH10 hihat, 18 inch Lemon ride and 9 inch Lemon splash (so I got like 7 cymbals with splitters) & DW900 single pedal of course!......so far so 👍 good ...drum on 🥁
You don’t really to spend money on Roland HH. Watch these vids to really understand this kit! ru-vid.com/group/PLWMSKolvMwTohPaxuN77iWmNKhSlare4k. There are some issues with the ride later on and hopefully yours does t break but the always is 16 dm pad with 2 cables is a great alternative for 149 just in case it does
I have that kit in my studio! Just great. Hi hat is a little different from a real drum set. But the drums and drum strike pro pad work together perfectly. The outs for recording are great having the individual outs help if u record. Great video
I have the same exact kit. I got it for Christmas and I play it to much. Such a great kit with 138 different kit noises as well so nice finally happy you have it and can experience it yourself!
If I were you, I would flip the beaters of your kick pedals for the plastic side, as the felt might wear out, as well as the mesh head of the kick! Cheers!
Literally just started the video, but giving a like and comment for the algorithm. I love it. I've been looking at buying this kit as my 1st edrum upgrade.
i have the same kit, awesome video btw. I noticed you bury the beater, and i'm hearing the kick drum being hit when you do so, it's very quiet, but still audible. I suggest you "tune" / loosen your kick drum so this doesn't happen.
Sir, you might wanna turn your beater on the plastic side. Its a must for Mesh Heads. Felt beater on mesh heads is a no no. Gaps of the mesh heads will grow uneven and your felt head will be eaten away.
good job man i have a simmons sd1200 ive been wanting for a while and i finally got it its my dream come true always wanted a electric set of drums and now i got set of my own and i love it .
Hello Mr.Alejandro i just wanna say that you are my mentor on drums, the first video i saw you on was when you covered perfect. Since then, I couldnt stop playing drums because of you, thank you
I have the same issue when I need to practice, I have a flat and want no problems with my neighbours, than is a e-drum a good solution, I have an v-drum from Roland, wonderful equipment
Beats my old Simmons SDS9's which were basically plywood covered in rubber with a trigger on the pad and 1 on the plastic case for the snare. I should dig them out and see if they still work.
This kit would be great for a studio/church setting, I use my Yamaha "E" kit for doing gigs, all my wires etc are secured to the rack, set up takes about 15 min...tear down about the same.
It’s funny because this is the exact kit I’m saving up for ^^. I’m also getting a doubble kick pedal because it doesn’t come with one I don’t believe. This kit I played in the shop a couple times (Derringers music centre here in ADL SA), and this drum kit is a monster
I’m searching for my first E-Drum set , now I know they have different kit sounds and you can even modify the sounds , but do they have different cymbal sounds ? Like does it have Zildjian cymbal sounds or Paiste sounds or Sabian , or are they just cymbal sounds and not the different name brands ? A lot of people prefer different cymbals , and I was just wondering if they make the cymbals sound like those different brands. Probably confusing the life out of you , so I hope you get what I’m trying to say. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
