Yeah! First?! I love these cheap edrums. I mean, I use them (Millenium, Alesis, Lemon, DIY) with VSTs and there are amazing possibilities. But ... anyway, not everyone has got the computer affinity, like I do - and a high end audio interface. Great stuff, dude. Keep it up!! If you guys have some questions about edrums technical stuff, please give me a comment.
You did a fantastic job demonstrating this kit! Alesis was smart to have you do it! Of course, your presentation is now going to cost me money since I'll likely buy one now.
This is almost exactly the same thing as the command x mesh special edition from guitar center, same price too. Guess just updated drum module and slightly deeper snare.
This is a great video however you have set the bass drum beater up incorrectly, the felt side of the beater is not meant to be used on their mesh pads, I have no idea why they provide a beater with a felt side at all. If you check the Alesis website, and even the official promo pictures of the kit you will see the plastic side of the beater being used against the head. Anyone watching this video may now set up their kits incorrectly as the felt side will damage the mesh which is a shame as it may not be replaceable under warranty.
When will Alesis learn that a Ride Cymbal MUST have a BELL... We NEED a trigger zone for the BALL of the Ride, as well as edge and Clamp.... C'Mon, it isn't rocket science, Why not hire a dang drummer to help you sort this stuff out, gotta' be a few of 'em hanging' around...
