@@EatYourBackyard I have a small electric/acoustic Ibanez that I picked up at the Guitar Center here in Ocala. I played around with a number of high end brand name guitars and kept coming back to the Ibanez. A young kid came into the room and he showed some interest so I had him try it out. He breaks into a freakin awesome rendition of "Classical Gas" and blew me away. He couldn't get over how good it sounded right off the shelf. I was really heart broken later on when I found out they are made in China. Well........ they make some freakin awesome guitars fo sho. Enjoy your day "Sir Yoda" and thanks for always sharing, you really motivate me to get off of my ars and get growing. Keep on rockin in the Green World my friend. Peace.
I can relate, and this is officially the best comment of the month, hehe. 30 years ago, when I was in bands, near the Berkley Area of Boston (music snob capital of earth, seemed like), Ibanez had a bad reputation as a rip off brand, right along with Peavey. However, it seems over the years, the bottom rail rose to the top and both those companies have some good things now. Mine was made in Indo. Was looking at Schecter (USA) and will almost certainly buy a 5 string schecter bass in the next year or so. I am infected now, totally in love with the Ibanez S series. No joke, it has awakened my deep love of music in a way I didn't expect. I ordered another one to use as a Drop D Metal Machine, the blue S521, with some minor upgrades, it is easy to modify that thing to sing the siren song if you get in the flow bro. Always good to hear from you Gerald, I wish you maximum abundance in every step.
