This is something I have dreamt about. Let others copy and develop the same thing across Nigeria. China is developing their cities very rapidly and creating jobs every single day. We should take our own destiny in our own hands. Good move by the new governor, who is letting his actions speak for themselves.
@godisgreat8316 what he is talking about is progress. You don't walk before you crawl. It is laughable that Nigerian don't have supplied drinking water and still have cities with open gutters and no sewage treatment plants. Those things are fundamental and need to happen first.
Why are we building agro Park- where the Enugu farmers are supported to become outgrowers for the Agro processing parks- thus ensuring food for the people and generating revenue from export of excess. My humble opinion is - another white elephant project! Investing in Agriculture and Agro processing would been ideal!
Building smart cities are not productive. We need manufacturing companies, huge farm investments, and production companies so people will have jobs and be productive if you create investments. It will pay for so many other things forward. We have leaders who are not serious.
Peter mbah and his government should forget about these nonsense idea of Enugwu model city and take care of the Enugwu we see today alot of bad road and many things to put in place
He is not the first to come up with elephant project cant be achieved before he leave office. Didn't Sullivan come up with Centenary city which has not been achieved ? didn't Ugwuanyi come up with his own, something city and Elephant industrial park , which is abandoned and the industrial park lying farrow ? Please enough with this jamboree. Peter Mbah should count one before two , not the other way round. First he should address the dilapidated state of infrastructures in the city and deal with the illegal trading in the streets and shacks dotted along the road sides which has become an eye sour..
I love the developmental strides being witnessed in the south east. It's a new day. Among the 5 south east states, only 3 are in the race, with Alex Otti of Abia state leading the race, followed by Soludo of Anambra state and then, Peter Mbah of Enugu state. The governors of Imo and Abia are a waste of space and incidentally both govs have one thing in common. They are APC
Apart from Otti, the rest are nollywood actors. I rooted for this man during his campaign due to his beautiful ideas but he has been in government for a year now and nothing to show for it . All he is doing is trying to ensure that his second tenure is secured. Otti is the only performing governor.
@@campaignnews3550 There are roads that Hope constructed that are of standard than what Otti is constructing and a new bridge is currently under construction.. You will hardly see it on RU-vid like the way RU-vidrs focus more on Otti.
Why are you guys not asking them how much this project will cost the state and when it would be completed ? And what his government has achieved since taking over
While I'm not against mbah trying to use his opportunity to develop only his part of enugu just the way chimaroke did but he should also find a way to placate the ppl whose properties are being taken. We know that enugu west is being marginalised since inception but 2031 if awgu/aninri is not allowed to lead enugu then there will be major political crisis in the state . Enough of nkanu ppl using udi to usurp enugu west turn because an udi man is more like an nkanu man. Thanks .

@@fatfarmers7360 Whatever that is frustrating your joyless soul shouldn't depart from you. You see South East as dustbin while others see your country as shit hole. Once again, Enugu is beautiful and can compete with Abuja. People buying land and building in Abuja didn't get 2 heads.
Enugu deserve world-class interchange road projects like what you can gind in Kano City. Enugi is lagging far behind in infrastructural development. Amongst all the former regional Headquarters in Nigeria, Enugu is the least developed
There is no continuity in Nigeria state governance.Dr. Peter Mbah should embark on project that will not be abandoned by his successor.I dont think mega city is what Enugu State needs right now.
Why do African say stupid unecessary stuff... build something that will compete with the next city over before you compare with Dubai. It just tell me say you never serious reach. It's not about it being like Dubai, its about a well-run city. Just having land is premature for being on the news... build some very basic aspects first so we know you're serious. How much is overall budget? How much is state funding? Who is a target investor for the SPV? We dey talk too much.
The idea of a "New Enugu" is a good one, but I don't think that's something the mandate thief in Enugu should be doing now. For a state with so much rural farmers, Enugu should be working to be food sufficient first. Build rural roads and encourage farmers to do more.
Nigeria can complete Dubai or anywhere else in the world but only if they do like everybody else do.And that is the Arabs build Dubai to control it themselves.The Europeans controls Europe .The Americans controls America.The same can be said about the people in India,China,Japan and Latin America.Any city can be a world class city with water,electricity,drainage-sewer system,modern roads and transportation.
Peter mba need to learn from governor Otti You cannot claim poor people land and houses without keeping them in good place Many people you are breaking their house has retired and no help for them If you break their house where do you want them to go Many land has bean developed go to Forest and developed there instead of claiming poor people lands

How far with Centenary city by Sullivan ? though the centenary city was progressing until Peter mbah thugs laid hand on it which has disrupt the little progress there. How far with the something city and elephant industrial park by Ugwuanyi ? are abandoned and lie farrow despite billions budgeted by Ugwuanyi. What is the assurance this Peter mbah version would be different ?
