Sad, Kilimani could be mistaken for Dagoretti Corner and that's no compliment. Bad roads terrible side walks. Sorry but it really looks bad, I never understand why people always look at the buildings but not the sidewalks/footpaths and gutters that are never maintained. Sigh! When I was growing up Kilimani was a gem, today it's just an eye sore. That's the honest truth from an old timer.
You're right. The character of any city is judged from the street level! The streets are the heart beat of any urban set up. Seems in Kenya we only build up with motorists in mind and never the walking public. We lack good roads with street signage for pedestrian safety. No enough and safe walkways. No adequate and safe green space at residential level. No street and public lightning. Dangerously hanging power lines with ugly erections. Not whining but without rectifying street infrastructure, those gleaming highrise apartments are all in vain.
@@imareallady5545 In 10 years you will probably suggest to "come back" another 10 years! What a numskull notion. Building a road in this century takes ONE day. Nairobi is just a filthy place no matter how much you digress, dissect, deviate & turn a blind eye from the fact that vertical infrastructure is strongly absent.
Nairobi is slowly changing from green city under the sun to Concrete jungle under the sun. Sad! Every building needs to have some green spaces but our leaders love money so much and the developers are taking advantage of that
