Very interesting direction that Casio took with this latest line in the GA series. I like the big easy-to-press buttons, and the carbon construction of the case is new and different. I love the fact that a G-Shock easily accepts any aftermarket strap of the right size. Another welcomed improvement over previous GA series watches is that the LCD screens are now illuminated with the light button. My only minor complaint would be regarding the skeleton hands which I have never liked in any watch, Casio or other brands, because it reduces legibility. Thanks for reviewing this new addition to the enormous G-Shock line, Bob. Sometimes it seems that the squares (5000 series) are the only G-Shocks that ever get reviewed on RU-vid!
I didn't have a huge problem reading the skeleton hands but the LCD's were really hard to read. I think this is leaning more toward the fashion side vs a more practical tool watch. Every bit as rugged as one I'm sure though. Hopefully we see more with the interchangeable straps from Gshock in the future. Thanks Lee.
Bob I think it's absolutely beautiful the design the color aluminum buttons I just think they did a great job hats off the Casio I should say kudos yes beautiful watch very very nice at a great price point everyone can afford that thank you for sharing this great video 😎👍🖐️😘
Well, my blue one arrived today. I also ordered the same aftermarket strap after seeing yours, so thanks for that. I can reaffirm re the neg lcd. Unless you have good light and perfect vision, it makes the secondary functions a chore to use. Fortunately, I don't really use them other than the countdown timer which I have preset to 5 mins for boiling an egg :) Other than that, the watch is a real looker and wears much better than other G-Shocks - and very comfy. Just wish Casio would stop using these neg displays........:(
Overall I really like the watch other than the displays too. There a little on the small side which doesn't help. I'm like you though and don't often use some of the functions. Enjoy it :)
Bought it yesterday in Las Vegas. Macy’s has blue and yellow at 25% off. I didn’t want to pass on that deal. I do really like it. I personally like this shade of blue. I’m sure I’ll get the army green later also. It also is a real nice weight.
Hello Bob I wish they would make more of these blue color watches I think they're beautiful looking a little better made if they can come up with a better more rugged and with altimeter and barometer and all that building solar at be an awesome watch the color stands out
Bought the blue last night to take to Maui, Hawaii from Macys. I plan on doing some hiking, snorkeling, surfing, etc. and did not want to wear my Girard Perregaux Ferrari watch for my excursions. The watch seems to have the toughness I'm looking for without being obnoxiously large or having a cumbersome band. I like the different time zones as I have a house in Costa Rica and can toggle up and back between Eastern time and Costa Rican time (as soon as I figure out how to do it!) The time zone change will also come in handy while in Hawaii from Florida!
Nice! Perfect choice for what you're using it for. Definitely handy to track different time zones and once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy to use. Have fun in Hawaii!!
Sir which strap match to casio g shock ga 2000 in yellow colour please please please please please please please please reply sir big fan of yours sir please.😔😔😔😔😔
Bought one here in Canada from Amazon.UK The watch it’s AMAZING, same color “1A2” with a Barton Watch Band (Canvas Navy Blue 24mm) Sleek watch, Really Comfortable to wear.
I personally like the 5610. I like how it wears, love the solar and multiband and just the classic look. Totally opinion though. It's up to the person wearing it and what they want in a watch.
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces Answered my own question a soon after posting. There is one positive display version available on an all white model, GA 2000S-7 AJF.
@@TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces Just received the positive display and sorry to report the negative is just as mediocre. facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10157594623888092&set=a.58893638091&type=3&theater
New strap, new case but still the same boring & obsolete features! Wish Casio makes something that can compete with digital smartwaches nowadays. I sold all my g-shocks and buy Garmin watches.
Omfg finally!!! A g-shock that you can swap with leather strap.. I thought G-shocks are getting obsolete 😅 how I wish they can compete with the touchscreen smartwatch world too.
