Hi Jonnie. Never used Gillet. I use beard oil on my head for my shaving oil and use a Schick Extreme to shave. I have great shaves doing it that way it works for me as long as I shave every 2 days. Thank you for the great video. I been thinking about buying this razor for a while now. Let me say that Gillette has put out some damn good stuff over the years and some not so good. Anyhow this was a great video and also I'm in the process of growing out my beard, you have a killer beard.

Great video, but I strongly disagree about this one being a good razer. The shave wasn't smooth enough for me. I do agree with the Mach 3 turbo being the best men's cartridge. But if you want the best head shave from a cartridge, use the women's Vennis Divine cartridge. I used my wife's about 15 years ago and was super impressed on how clean and close the shave was. I have been shaving my head for over 23 years now. When I have the time, nothing beats a shave from an old school Safety DE razor. Proraso shaving cream, with a good beaver brush, feather razor, and Shark platinum blades, followed up with Nivea soothing shaving cream. That is the best shave for your face and head.

Awesome video mate, was going to say what is a guy with a beard doing shaving videos for but then I saw that you shave your head with it! Trying to find out how to charge the bloody thing ;-)

Their heated razor only lasted me a month then died on me their exfoliating bar razor only lasts five years according to what I've read I'm a new subscriber

Great video! I’ve always been a fan of Gillette and remember before the Mach 3 came out, SNL had a skit on an as yet uncreated “triple-trac” razor with 3 blades! It was hilarious at the time but then the Mach 3 came out. I ended with the five blade Fusion razor before I stopped shaving. I wonder if the magnet was stronger in your razor if it wouldn’t life out of the base and would just pull the base off the counter?

I have the new razor and it works for one time and then have to put a new one in and there not cheap can buy a package of bicks for the same price and they last one shave also

Appreciate the takes. The way someone shaves, and the tools they use are quite subjective. To me? What a waste of money to have to spend SO much on these "heads" and have to replace them every 5-7 shaves (to get the same effect and closeness and the first shave). Gillette finally went back to it's roots and re-introduced a DE razor which is good to see. The King C. Gillette DE razor. It's milder razor, but still, IMO, the best way to shave...both quality of shave and cost effectiveness. Exfoliating bar? Really? Not Gillette's fault. In order to stay on top of the competition, I commend them on the "ingenuity", and once again, watching all the other kids try to copy or even one-up. Haven't seen prices yet on the replacement heads for this razor, but I can imagine they are not cheap. DE shaving? Pick your level of aggression within the razor, blades are MUCH less and in most cases better..and you can again choose the level of aggressiveness. Once you find your sweet spot, which is part of the enjoyment of wet shaving, you're set. You should be using shaving soap or REAL shaving cream, not the "foam" or "gel" anyway. If you prefer this type of razor, more power to ya. It's just ridiculous that one 5 pack of heads will buy you around 50-100 of the DE blades. I've heard "but look at the heads...5 blades on one head! That's why it more!". Right. But you STILL need to replace around the same time you replace a DE blade. Again, preference and subjectivity. Don't want to or need to actually enjoy shaving and want to spend an arm and a leg? Ok. It's a choice. Just like it is to feel that this type of shaving is ridiculous when it comes to "technology" and price. WHY do you think SNL used to spoof it? Anyway, appreciate the fact that there are still reviewers that take a stab at all shaving practices and not just DE.
