Hey Jeff! The upgrades were designed to improve overall user experience by having a machine that doesn't have to run as hard to achieve max temps and power. We prioritized bottom-line profits to the end user by making adjustments that dramatically lower the running costs of the unit. Here are some of the upgrades made to the 370 EFI to achieve these goals: • New 26.5 HP EFI engine (no throttle cable maintenance or choke to start) • At max speed, pressure and vacuum engine is only operating at 65% capacity, so is gentler on the machine and user, increasing machine life and lowering maintenance costs • Approved under extended oil life program, so oil changes only need to be done every 300 hrs (with no break-in period required) • Lowest fuel consumption in the industry: 1 GPH in Carpet mode • 25 AMP charging circuit for direct hook up to your electric hose reel / auto pump out / interior lighting etc. • Updated styling to front panel indicator lights and design to help at-a-glance operation The upgrades make a HUGE difference to the operational costs of the machine.
