The first one where the guy taps and taps and taps until the glass breaks is exactly what he was trying to do. He's breaking the middle piece of a glass sandwich to get that visual effect. He's actually good at what he's doing.
Yeah I had a friend who did this stuff for a living and I started working for him, first place we had we did a good job fitting a nice squared spiral staircase case... He then tells me some of the measurements weren't quite right what I fitted, I knew it was a lie because he helped me cut them, he pulls out this little flat head thing and starts tapping away, wincing, and I was cringing, it eventually cracked and my face 😂 he said I'd turned white lol this was an expensive job... then he did it to the next panel. By this time I thought he had lost the plot and started loading tools in the van, came back all smashed 😮and that's when he told me it's meant to be that way 😂 and it did look quite amazing tbh but I'd never like to be in charge of something so delicate haha 😂
I have broken dozens of panels the same way. The break pattern on the glass in the video isn't very good IMO, but the guy breaking the glass isn't at fault for that, that's on whoever tempered the glass. Unless that's how they wanted it of course.
@@dannynicholson50 The most interesting one that we ever did was for the cover of a grand piano for a performer in Las Vegas. For that one the center lite (cracked) lite was super tempered in order to get the smallest possible pellets for the effect that he wanted. The finished glass started as a laminated rectangle and then cut to approximate size using a waterjet. The waterjet took care of the actual "cracked" glass part as soon as the stream touched the glass. Once it was cut to size all the edges were polished for the final look. It was very cool, especially when they shined lights on it, and it cost the customer megabucks.
*I love the grounded reality of this channel!!!* Retirement took a toll on my finances, but with my involvement in the digital market, $27,000 weekly returns has been life changing. AWESOME GOD❤️
Bible is supernatural. A relationship w Jesus is supernatural. I started a three days fast this morning. Thank you for this message. I'm 47yrs old $73,000 biweekly and I'm retired, this video have inspired me greatly in many ways!!!
My high school electronics instructor, a twenty-six-year former Navy Chief, had an "electric hammer" like the one in this video. His demonstration of it in 1970 left a room of 14-year-old high school freshmen sitting slack-jawed and wide-eyed. Even the half dozen of us who lived on farms, and ought to have instantly called BS were taken in by the utter straight-faced sincerity of his manner, which I am sure had been honed over a long career of fooling hundreds - if not thousands - of young, new navy seamen. Thanks for including this in the video. It brought back a fun memory.
must to be said that the first guy broke the glass on purpose; it's a laminated glass, they used to do that for aesthetic reasons (quite silly, I guess, because the glass loose its strength)
I had an OSHA guy tell me not to climb a 40ft ladder unless the ladder is tied off at the top. So I asked him to demonstrate how this is accomplished. Now that is funny. I have a basket full of stupid OSHA enforcers tales after 50 years in construction.
A buddy and I played, what I refer to as, 'Cold War Hot' at work a few times. Broke up some cardboard totes into walls and used our air nozzles to launch improvised 'ICBMs' made of found material (or fancy Boeing cotton swabs). We tried coming up with an 'Axis n' Allies' game but we couldn't come up with a scheme. Figured V-2 for Axis but nothing for Allies beside using Air as 'Radar' to knock down the missiles, but that seemed lame. Then that became 'Cold War Hot'
Lol. I love these videos. Reminds me of some crazy times. He has the expressions down pat. I bet he would make a great character in a movie. The long suffering foreman stuck managing a crew of misfits and the boss's lazy kids.
Oh man. That one kid playing with the throttle of the chainsaw and not holding it gave me shivers. I don’t guess he’s ever seen an actual chainsaw injury.
