The New Halloween Movie Was Dumb as Hell 

Brought a girl to watch this movie didn’t understand one thing girl blocked me the next day

My favourite part of the movie was definitely the Micheal Myers cameo.

So she goes full ballistic for 40 years waiting for Michael, then he kills Laurie’s daughter, is at large. Laurie is like, oh well back to normal. Huh? Bad writing.

I went to see it with a buddy of mine and when Corey crawled into the sewer and man handled Michael, I looked at my buddy and said, "what are we watching here?" We were bored during the movie and they did Michael wrong. We thought we'd see a bunch of Michael in it considering it's the end, not introducing a brand new character. Don't waste your money on this people.

Corey should’ve been in the trilogy from the Getgo. It definitely would’ve been cool that Corey meets Michael a couple times not even knowing who he is and Michael doesn’t kill him cause he has the same eyes.

I liked the 2018 Halloween and Halloween kills, but Halloween ends just fucked it up

Halloween Ends' first two acts feel like a movie that would have happened after the last act. Something like say Friday the 13th Part 5 where they would built up to someone new taking the mantle as the new killer. Hell, the plot could have hit harder if what Corey saw of Michael was more of an interpretive phantom who goads him into becoming the new shape, making people question if he was really there or just a figment of his imagination. But unfortunately we got a movie that's basically if Season of the Witch got cold feet and slapped Michael Myers in the last act to keep fans from freaking out at the lack of a Shatner-masked psycho.

5:40 The film turns Allyson into an "I can fix him" character from a bad romance. She ignores everything wrong with Corey and dismisses Laurie's suspicions of him as paranoia about Michael.

David Gorden Green, Danny McBride, Chris Bernier and Paul Brad Logan took Friday the 13th Part 5: A New Beginning (1985), Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday (1993), A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985) and Christine (1983). Mixed those four films together with the worst elements of Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) and Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995): The Producer's Cut. Thrown in a dash of Halloween H20 (1998) and voilà! The result is Halloween Ends and it's gloriously awful. There are so many things about this film that I hate but I have no energy to talk about it. I have never left the cinema so speechless, confused and angry at the same time. Halloween Ends is by far the worst movie in the Halloween Franchise imo. Yes, it's WORSE than Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989), Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995), Halloween: Resurrection (2002), Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 (2009) and Halloween Kills (2021). 2/10. I HATE this movie. Worst movie of 2022 for me.

No joke first time when I saw this, I thought the kid Jeremy jumped off on purpose. My theater had the movie on such a low brightness, I couldn’t tell what was going on.

Here’s a fun fact Michael Myers actually has more screen time in Halloween ends than the original Halloween

Halloween kills is the end of that trilogy for me. In my head Michael just disappeared and is still just out there somewhere.

H20 is the better sequel to the original 2 Halloween movies for me imo. Better characterization of Laurie, just enough Michael Myers, the showdown between them both was a lot more satisfying.

I just rewatched "Silent Rage", starring Chuck Norris, and its serial-killing villain was set up more reasonably than this.

This movie could be called good if it wasn't part of the Halloween franchise. The story line was interesting with evil being transfered to someone else. But for a trilogy finale?! Nahhh doesn't cut it. This was the finale to a huge horror franchise that's been carried on for 44 years. What a disappointment

Honestly the Laurie we saw in H20 was much more realistic than the Laurie we saw in H40. She was just written way to over the top in these new movies and I don't even know what they were thinking in that last one. So Myers is on the lose and just killed her daughter, and she is just chillin leaving a normal suburban life in town? Oh there will be more Halloween movies, as sure as water is wet there will be more.

I don’t think Corey is dead because when he started to kill with Michael his hand wound healed so fast. I would love to see Allyson front her own trilogy going against him cause her potential is UNTAPPED. David is wrong for this trilogy I don’t think that he should write another movie until he takes a screenwriting course and work on his technique.

I remember leaving the movie theater like..WTF did i just watch.

I don't know how the whole town knew either, but I thought it was pretty obvious why they all came to watch Michael's execution. It was because the town had a shared trauma and hysteria about the boogeyman and it was cathartic for them to witness with their own eyes that he wasn't gonna come back and there was no mystery or ambiguity since they saw for themselves he was turned to mince meat.

Halloween Ends was a shit storm...

This idea of Michael passing on his legacy might have worked if it had been a follow up not just to the original and previous two but rather to 4 when it was implied Jamie (Danielle l Harris) would carry on his legacy

Terrible movie.. it was like watching a lifetime movie that Michael Myers made a cameo in... worse than zombie's H2... they need to reboot the franchise and get back to the basics and include the storyline from Halloween 2

I have a theory about this movie, and i have evidence to support it I think this movie was less of a send off and more of an introduction to a new horror series, lemme explain, corey was obviously a main charecter of this movie, he had everything a main charecter needs, charecter devolpment, being shown in every scene, and being known, i think micheal knew he was too old for murdering by himself so he needed someone he could teach to kill, and corey just so happend to be next to micheal myers new home, he was young, and he has killed before, and also corey had some pretty cool kills, like that blowtorch kill was perfection, so we know what kind of killer corey is, he is a very gruesome and very fast killer, now with all this it almost seems like they are introducing a new killer to make movies on HHHMMMMMMMMMM also the final shot of the film pans over where corey "died" AND HIS BODY AIN'T THERE and they never said they buried him, he didn't get grinded with micheal so, i wonder where he went, he TOTALLY didn't come back to kill again, i wouldn't be surprised if they made corey a new killer in a new horror series.

It's so ambiguous what happens between Corey and Michael. Why does Corey have the shapes powers and why does he follow Corey to nurse debs house to show off

Honestly they could've at least made this Movie a build up to a Spinoff Movie with Cory as the New Killer in another town or something, this should've been all about Michael & Laurie's final face off & explain to us why he was always staring outta that Got Damn Window...They could've at least had a side story about Corey in Smiths Grove being tormented by the inmates in there & him slowly transforming into a killer they claimed him to be after accidentally killing Jeremy then after Michael was final killed off at the end of the movie it could've shown Corey becoming the new evil...When the evil in Michael died the evil in Corey should've been born, but that's just my opinion...They Literally dropped the ball with this Movie 🤦🏾‍♂️

The part that really pissed me off in this trilogy is that in the very first Halloween and in Halloween 2018 they made it to where the mask is his thing the mask and Michael are essentially connected So why does Halloween kills and Halloween ends keeps taking his fucking mask off??? It is the end of this timeline and probably the end of Halloween films until the end of the decade at least. Probably a streaming anthology format but I'm just guessing. Franchise fatigue has definitely set in.

I absolutely hated Halloween Kills except for the Michael Meyers scenes, this one at least to me feels like it is a fine enough movie, but it is just very strange to shove this corey douche in and making him beat up michael, that pissed me off, because in the end they ditched him anyway, and i hate it when other characters pretend to be the new Michael Meyers, i got cold feet when the Doctor did that in the 2018 movie, also in these Halloween movies the writers are seemingly never sure if Michael Meyers is a Old Man with a mask (when they want someone to take it and pretend stuff) or if he is Pure evil in a human form, only feeding on Fear and Death (when they need a Badass michael Meyers scene) really i enjoyed the movie, but as a general Halloween movie, not as a „Halloween“ movie, if you know what i mean. Bonus Round, who decided that Michael Meyers needs to be such a Bitch in these last 2 Movies, Getting Beat up by a mob, getting beat up by a police guy in the sewer and needs his young duche to save him, gets beat up by his young duche and then gets thrown into a shredder, i dont know, i cant imagine Rob Zombies Michael Meyers to get his ass handed to him like that, i found him to be quite the monster and extremely threatening at all times, so Rob Zombies Reboot stays my Favourite.

The movie dead ass was stupid asf and I thought this one would have been a banger. They should have stayed with Halloween Kills cause that one was epic asf. I felt like producers played with Michael Myers this last movie. They became lazy and just decided to put down anything. It’s really sad and I am so upset that THIS is what they had for Michael as a final goodbye.

This movie is so god damn infuriating. I wanted it to be good so so badly. I wanted to love it, and to be completely fair here, Michael and Corey teaming up to get vengeance on the town is NOT a bad idea. The problem is I don't think the makers of Ends had the balls to commit to the idea because they kill him off in the end anyway and all that time we spent on him meant nothing.

It would have been okay if Cory survived where they could then make a new horror franchise about him.

Micheal being weak can actually be explained by a line in halloween kills. Laurie states that the more micheal kills, the more he powerful he gets. Micheal had been killing way less people during the events of Halloween Ends.

I personally feel like people are too harsh on this movie thing is this was supposed to be a more grounded Michael anyway he is the physically oldest version of Michael in existence so I can see him not being as strong as any other movies. Also as far as that everyone's still in hattonfield thing Lori's granddaughter stated she was there for lori she was afraid of leaving Laurie alone and as far as quarry even though he got even though he got dropped a lot of colleges if there's any kind of scandal which he that's what he was doing before the accident he was trying to get into college a lot of colleges if you have any kind of scandal even if you're found innocent they will deny your application because they don't want students with you know bad reputations tarnishing their school

Gonna be honest, I loved it.

As someone who actually really likes the Halloween franchise and characters, I felt like this movie was worse tbh. H18 was a great modern day sequelboot to bring back the franchise without all the baggage of the previous sequels. I thought it did great. Hal Kills started off fantastic and for all its floors I thought the kills and strength of Michael made up for it. You really felt the stakes were high and no one was safe. I’m a little sad they waited so long to kill off a major character though and I’m also pissed they announced 2 movies before even filming the first sequel but tried to act like this would be the end for Michael. He’s the only one they really need to keep to make the movies work so announcing another film after Kills but acting as if he might die in Kills did ruin it a bit for me ( especially with the somewhat cringy ending where they monologue over him being beat up before he kills everyone). This one just felt like they didn’t care anymore. I know it didn’t help that this and the previous were during Covid times so people skipped them because of that or missing Kills. But really I think the people who saw it first killed any hype people had when they found out Michael was a cameo appearance. I know it would’ve been basic but I wish they just had him do a classic kills everyone in his path throughout the movie. I was somewhat hoping they could end it by maybe having him actually kill Laurie and everyone else we care about. Bit of a twist ending. It just felt like they wanted classic stuff for the first 2 movies of the reboot trilogy but decided to mix it up for the last one and that killed it.
