@Noah Flores yeah but that's not gambling. If you don't put something on the line it's like putting money in a bank instead of a slot machine. Hero's forward smash is mostly a safe bet it's not like using down b which takes time for something either good or bad.

I named my amiibo "Goku" and trained him to throw offstage and spike. Gave him an extra air jump. Now at level 50, he almost never misses an offstage spike

Apparently Hero does use the best spell available when down B is used. You can't influence what he picks but you can influence how often he brings up the spell menu.

Yeah. Mine uses the spells once or twice a stock. I swear my hero never misses anything. Literally he hits me at the perfect time after an air dodge every time, or if we’re up in the air he just does the move at the perfect time and I’m scared, I was only able to beat lvl 44 with the spirits in him.

fun fact: critical attack up doesn’t actually help hero. Crit up just makes moves do a little more damage and has nothing to do with hero’s zoom in crit.

But the probablities of a crit rise because hero has a 1/8 chance (maybe) of crit so if the smash attack doesn't have a the zoom, maybe it increases the less damaging hits

Yea, what's up with the eating thing, it does nothing for the amibo really. But I guess it doesn't matter, because no amibo are better than smash 4 amibos. You can have three bonus effects, no matter what, and they do more base damage. They are just better.

Picked up Joker and Hero. Joker is Yukihira (protagonist of Food Wars) and gave him lower landing lag/easier dodging/dash attack up. He turned out really well too. Hero is RNG Demon with Special-Move Power Up/Down Special Up/ Move Speed Up. Unfortunately he’s... not super into using his down b... but he does do it, and when he does he just ends you. Unfortunately it’s not enough, and he’s kinda easy to beat.

Since you asked, my Hero amiibo is named Aquaman. He uses alt 7, the orange and teal recolor of DQ7 Hero. I actually used the down b when training him, and he doesn't even use it all that often

Crit spirits actually cancel out Hero's normal critting, I've tested it.

@@ballisticboo7808 Crit spirits will completely stop Hero from being able to crit normally in replacement for the spirit's critical. I equipped a crit granting spirit on Hero and tested it, I never once got Hero's normal critical hit.

I just got my Hero amiibo a week ago and named him Orpheus (after the starting Persona of the P3 protagonist). Managed to train him to max level (and gave him Super Armor as well). Since I fed him some Spirits prior to maxing out his level, he has rather skewed stats (2969 attack, 1231 defense); terrible as his defense is, at least super armor makes up for it. In terms of behavior, he likes to jump around and shield, though he is also very aggressive when attacking. On a side note, his palette is white haired Eight (aka the blue alt of Eight).

I've got both amiibo, my Hero's called "Stinky" cuz I had no idea what to name him in my Dragon Quest playthrough and went with that. Very mature stuff My Joker's called "Innocent" like the fruit juice brand, because where I live "Joker" is another fruit juice brand (idk if it exists in the US) and when he was announced for smash my friendgroup either thought they were putting the Joker from Batman or the brand's mascot in smash. After that I tried out P5 at a friend's place and we ended up naming him "Innocent Amamiya" because it still made us laugh weeks after

Im getting 4 hero amiibo I have 1 but i have ordered the second one i know what to name them Luminary: Trunks (neutral) Reason: he looks like trunks after he came out of the hyperbolic time chamber Erdrick (6th alt): Vegeta (defense) Reason: In the game cover of dq3 he looks like goku yes but in smash he looks more like Vegeta Solo (7th alt): Kakarot (attack) Reason:: his outfit on the 7th alt looks like goku's clothing and personally he's my favourite hero (with Eight as a close second) and Goku is my second favourite character tied with future trunks (vegeta is my favourite) Eight: J. Sparrow (grab) Reason: well he looks like a pirate (P.S I really love munchie)

If you want to train a Hero Amiibo around his down+b i think there's a couple of different routes you can take: 1. Casino Hero - Literally just pick spells randomly for maximum chaos effect. 2. Strategic Hero - Pick the best spell for the occasion and hopefully he picks up on it. 3. Buff Hero - Only use down+b to select his buffs, so oomph, psyche up and acceleratle.

Just so you know Choctopus, the Critical Chance buff only makes that an attack randomly does more damage and that when stacked it only increases that chance. It has no effect on Hero's Critical Hit gimmick but the two can overlap.

It can use spells but only the ones you use so if you never used bounce when fighting it will never use that move but you can train it to use spells

It is possible to get hero to use his down special effectively, I tried to make him exclusively go for buffs but it seems he has an entirely separate thought process for picking spells. Typically he does make good judgment calls about when to use what spells though so that may be preprogrammed

I trained a hero amiibo to spam smash attacks and down B. I gave it 17% crit up and it uses down B a lot so it works.

Do you know whats amazing? The spirit 'crit chance up' gives EVERY MOVE a chance to crit. Making it way better than hero crits

Incorrect. Regardless if any move has to crit, it does not do as much damage or have as much knockback as Hero's criticals. Equipping a crit spirit will also completely block Hero from getting normal crits. It just won't happen.

My Hero amiibo is named Playmobil and he’s actually insane. He uses down b and side b efficiently and quickly which surprised me a lot.

For the Joker Amiibo, you should give him a longer transformation spirit so Arsene will be out longer. Think it will work like that

Name a Robin Amiibo 'Grima', give him as much power as possible and teach him to use Down B. You see, Robin Down B heals dependent on the damage he deals, and Amiibos are good at landing it. So what's worse than a superpowered Amiibo? A superpowered Amiibo that HEALS.

About the Raid Boss Open: I'd love to see Pumpkin come back for a Round 2, but i'd love to see Toyha try and get high in the bracket! All I ask though is to be more strict on the Amiibo submissions. A couple days before the actual tourney is fine, but right before it starts causes more chaos than there should be.

I would love to see Sheik amiibo. It just feels funny to think about her actually dealing damage (and I don't want to buy an amiibo myself). And spirits it's not enough.

I just thought of a practical use for kaclang: if the time is really low and you are high percent, then use kaclang and get the sudden death.

I was pleasantly surprised with Hero. Amiibo are pretty bad at chargeable moves but Hero seems to understand the three levels and uses all three pretty well.

I named my Hero Amiibo Terry. It's the name of the protagonist in the original Dragon Warrior Monsters game for the GameBoy Color.

I bought a Joker Amiibo and named him Society. I tried buffing only his neutral special with my spirits but then he almost never used neutral b in battle. He used dash attack and down tilt way more. I’ve never trained an Amiibo before so he’s probably not that good

Got Joker, chose school boy skin and named him senpai after what Kasumi/violet (no spoilers) calls him and gave him insta drop with aerial atk up. He comboed Arsene bair into dair offstage.
