Great review. Does the graphene sole wear easily? Coming from Salomons and they seem to wear quickly (I am 6’2 and 120kg = big guy) which is a shame as I love them but are keen to see if the hype of graphene is for real, reals. Cheers

A great comfortable lightweight boot . The only issue I’ve had on the 345 is that the eyelets break after a while if you do the laces up too tight. I’ve had then break on 2 pairs now 🙁

Version 2, which is in the video, has the laces going through punched eyelets, so they can't break.

This happened to mine last week. Only worn a few times. Just inside warranty so returned them for inspection and requested a refund. I'll replace with these I think.

I'm sure the soles are durable but I'd be more worried about the uppers. What are your feelings so far, are the 400s up to UK mountain scrambling such as Striding Edge or for more sedate hill walks? Any durability concerns?

I had real concerns over the durability of the previous version, but so far these seem much better. I know, for instance, that James Forrest has been tramping through north-west Scotland in these, and is finding them brilliant. For really tough terrain - lots of off path through heather and scree - I think I'd still want something a little beefier, but for most mountain routes (including Striding Edge) they'd be absolutely fine. I bought the original gtx 400 earlier this year for the Anoach eagach ridge and have done several tough scrambles and boulder fields with them and they have stood up well to the rough terrain. No leaks walking through rivers or bogs either.

Nice, but do they do a wide foot box like keen or altra low alpines

My experience is that the fit is narrower than those boots you've mentioned, and they don't offer a specific wide option. However, the ROCLITE PRO G 400 GTX V2 is measured as a Grade 4 on inov-8's 1-5 width scale (1 being the narrowest and 5 the widest). As a rough guide, Grade 1 represents an industry B fit, while Grade 5 equates to a 2E fit in the forefoot.

I find all these shoes are no good running on stones, theyre too flexible and you can feel the stones pushing through
