Don't get your hopes up, cause Boston is still beating that team in 5. And i am not even sure if they are coming outta the west, cause everyone is coming fir smoke. Denver massively underperformed and Mavs, Wolves etc. are looking promissing as well.
@@kjjr3270 i’ll be honest on paper. I think we should be favored over Boston better defensively probably much better rebounding wise now three-point shooting theoretically we should be but that’s the one area that I’m not so sure of yet Boston should be favored just because of the defending champions, but I see no reason why at least on paper why Oklahoma City couldn’t beat them we fixed our only two holes
@@sadmarinersfan8935 chemistry and experience are huge in the playoffs. Okc has a very nice team but I would still take Celtics. Celtics are still young and there top two players are more than willing to play defence, especially brown.
As a spurs fan idc about Minnesota, Denver, Dallas…. OKC is the real threat, now and long term in the west…. Their future picks, Shei as an MVP candidate, and their stacked team (including their recent pickups this offseason) …. Teams in the west have to really think about how they’re handling their future cause OKC is gonna be a Monster for years to come…. I believe the spurs are up for the challenge eventually especially with our draft picks for the 25 draft but we really have to be carful if we wanna compete with OKC long term.
@@claudebradshaw1730 Dallas went all in and mortgaged their future for a B-Squad. Klay, Kyrie, and Luka are so ass on defense it’s going to be funny watching Dallas crumble like the losers they are
@808bboarder well you should probably look at luka defensive stats compared to other guards dummy...what his steal numbers look like compared to guards? Blocks? Then come back casual
Scary that Shais game could go to another level on offence as you’d have to think most of the time, he’d only have to guard the 3rd or 4th best player on an opposing team
Imagine the first 2 subbed off are Chet and Dort only for AC & iHart to check in. Jdub is gonna FEAST with iHart’s screens. The rest of the league is gonna have to faces the fact that the #1 team in the west upgraded their 2 weakest links, Josh and Hayward, with 2 incredible defenders… in the draft why got one of the top 5 players in the draft by selecting Topić, and they didn’t give up any 1st round picks throughout this whole offseason. Incredible.
The fact they gave up 0 first rounders for AC absolutely blows my mind. If they had given up 2 picks, everyone would have accepted that as an obvious price and good deal for OKC. I'm pretty sure even 3 picks would have been accepted by most fans.
@@verward I thought Josh plus 2 second rounders would’ve been pretty good… but at the same time, I think the Bulls knew Josh had the potential to ball out at the Olympics, which would’ve made Sam’s asking price steeper. I thought that if the didn’t move him before the draft, they would after the Olympics. I hope Josh balls out for the Bulls.
Great insights into the on court value of both these high impact "role players." Caruso does indeed make plays that don't loom large in the box score but win ball games. On winning teams such as Okc where detail counts? Yup. Down the stretch, in the clutch. Bulls were the winningest team in clutch time last season. Two reasons. DeMar and AC. That doesn't happen without one or the other. Alex does "the little things that count." Now when he does them it'll actually mean something bigger.
I love this guy He made a video of the jazz He mentioned that the jazz, okc, and spurs have the brightest future with many more draft picks n amount of talent Okc is special I respect that Building from bottom to top n even the spurs Not like most team only wanting vets n old star instead of looking into the long term future
Big day, 6 man with an OKC vid :). As a German fan, I am ofc super excited by the additions to the team. Hartenstein especially will look like a beast dishing out assists to all the smart cutters we already have. An amszing fit, who won't take away too many shots of the star trio and who fills all the gaps we had last year. I also think is touch is underrated, + he used to be able to shoot a little bit. If he gets fully unlocked and the social fit with the young group is great, I truly believe that these acquisitions can get us over the hump in the West (although I would never count out Jokic). Will miss Josh in OKC, but it just wasn't meant to work out. The situation here was unfortunate for him here, still rooting for him and believing in his all star potential...
Always nice to hear from you Kayonzo, I agree with the Hartenstein assessment. I didn't go all the way in depth on his screening and everything he can do on both ends because I wanted to talk about Caruso and some other guys but he's just gonna be such a perfect fit and the contract will work out well because its front loaded
@@6manYT always nice to see one of your vids popping up ^^ Sure. Was good for me though, I wasn't as familiar with Caruso's game. so I really enjoyed watching the parts where you analysed his on- & offball defensive plays.
I think the key was getting Caruso, whose minutes are always positive value, for giddey, whose were anything but. Just one more piece to plug into the puzzle and one that is amazing at fitting into an already established rotation.
I remember seeing how good he was off the bench in the Clippers and I was surprised when they just let him walk. Now knowing Him, Zu and Jokic have the highest efficiency is funny
If OKC can improve their rebounding I genuinely dont see why they cant win the title next year. SGA is 100% good enough to lead them to do that, excited to see him COOKING in the Olympics for Canada as well. Great vid as usual!
Caruso is the most under rated player by fans. His value by teams has always been a 1st pick status. Even if okc did nothing else but get Caruso. That deal alone puts them over the top.
Dallas got lucky our guys suddenly couldn't hit an open shot. We beat ourselves more than Dallas beat us. Their youth showed up, but they'll be ready this season. Also klay ain't helping Dallas lol
@@scottpaddlety8741riiiiiiigght. Luka and Kai both had off series, not anything thunder did to them, it was just them being off all on their own. See how that works?
Went from might be in title contention to knowing we have a real shot now this yr at that championship we been after in the city for a decade and a half we hit some bumps along the way but we are here now and actually a better all around team than the original Thunder ⛈️
adding a true rim protecting big allows chet to roam between the paint and perimeter much like victor W, Anthony D, or Greek freak, which should be more of his strength. In this role, Chet will be DPOY contender.
This is big. Hartenstein is big and mobile. Perfect fit. Clips looking more stupid every day. They had him a couple of years ago and didn’t keep him. Now he’s back in the western conference with a powerhouse of a team.
Bruh my bad when I was watching it back I was laughing aswell 😂 sometimes you get so focused on trying to get all that information out that the simple shit becomes harder than you would think lmao
It's a luxury signing. There's so much upside with Hartenstein. Yes, they gave him an extra 11 million over the Knicks, but that was the maximum the Knicks could offer. He was going to get the bag regardless. OKC just made sure it was theirs.
@@KBilliez I'm genuinely confused how saying "for the icing on the cake... pause" makes any sense at all as a joke or not. Basically it's the same as me saying "I just payed my rent... pause". I don't get it.
The absolute thievery that Sam Presti pulled off getting Caruso for only Josh Giddey is insane. You'd think they'd have to send Caeson Wallace and maybe even Isaiah Joe as well. The insanity that it took ONLY JOSH GIDDEY when he is probably the best defender in the league in positions 1-2 and maybe even 3 as well is absolute THIEVERY.
Unless something absolutely crazy happens i think anything less than a title is a failure atp, but even if they lose they can still just run it back the next year too
Bulls are rebuilding so they don't care who wins. Knicks were limited by the new CBA and cannot offer a big contract to IHart. Just really great deals by OKC.
3:49 you said it correct. He's a LB. He can't guard anyone. He's a foul merchant in the opposite manner to sga. He's dirty and tried to injure an already injured Luka. Dort is garbage
Lmao and he'll do it again too. Mavs fans in shambles they make the Finals and beat OKC and everyone still talking about OKC and how they're the favorites 😂
If Dort is a LB then Luka is a DE that whines like a toddler. Mavs fans crying because Lu brought the intensity to their crybaby...you're a crying casual!
Dallas fans always fall back on this take...even tho Luka drives to the basket less then Shai and shoots the same amount of free throws. You have been watching Luka for too long and all you do is cry.
