Good meeting, Tina! As usual, you did a wonderful job of thoroughly yet succinctly describing a red light product in a way that is understandable. One other benefit I see with this device is that it would travel better than the panel. (Which got left behind on my recent 11-day trip cross country.) Also, you helped me better understand which settings are best for me. Thanks for another great review. I know the folks at Maysama are going to be thrilled! Have a blessed day, my friend!!

Great review and explanation, Tina! It does look like a great mask. I'm trialing one (a different brand) now, finished week one. Looking forward to seeing my results after the first 30 days. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Good morning and Happy Sunday Tina. Wow! That Maysama mask is pretty amazing. It pretty much has it all! I so very much trust anything put out by Bev as I know she really puts in the work and the science-backed research into all her products. What a great idea to use this mask on the magenta setting for teenagers suffering from acne. I would have loved to be able to let my son use it during his teen years. I just got in my latest shipment of the Maysama Green Rooibus Tea Serum and I feel like I can't use my Red Light device without it. And you introduced me to this and I'm so thankful, as I've used it probably for two years now. Have a fantastic day my friend!

Good morning, sweet Tina. Your skin looks positively radiant. I'm definitely going to check with my cardiologist and show him the info on the mask. I have melasma and want to finally be done with it. Thank you so much on doing a video on the mask. Have a fantastic Sunday. ❤🫂🩷

the wonderful mask of pregnancy. I remember having it across the bridge of my nose! I think now they're more like sun spots from basking in the sun, no sunscreen, as a teen. If only we would have known the consequences, although it probably wouldn't have stopped us! You're the best as well! 😘🩷🩷@@tinasbestmidlife

I thought that blue light and heat cause dark spots. Red light above 630nm should be safe. Check all the wavelengths of your mask. Avoid any heat!

Hi, This is my first time seeing one of your videos. I was interested in this review because mask covers the lips but I actually do have concerns about really how safe that is to be sitting right on top of your lips, as opposed to the derma flex panel that treats my lip area, but doesn’t sit right on top of it. I was turned off by the Maysama brand after watching the (very nice) owner try to plug her serums as a main selling point with her devices. Historically, that is where companies make the most money. (Anyone who bought one of those derma planing devices that require that you buy their pricey razors that “need” to be changed out weekly to use them, knows what I mean about how you’re continually paying to use the device. Smart marketing but I don’t fall for it anymore.) You shouldn’t need to use the serum for the mask to be as effective and I have not heard of Peer reviewed medical research to suggest that you do… or that post light at home devices allow for better absorption of products. Also, as with their panels, their mask’s numbers are not as great comparatively as with the others. So the lip coverage is nice and if this was by a company not trying to plug serum where mask had comparable numbers, I’d be more excited about it but it doesn’t compare to the $2500 Dermaflex panel I’m considering. I don’t really see Maysama as being at the same level as the other face masks; their panels certainly aren’t. But I also don’t have a great amount of trust in any of these companies given everything is made so cheaply in China and then shipped overseas where manufacturers slap their brand label on it at a massive mark up…so when a company then tries to promote their serum on top of it as almost necessary, its a red flag to me. If it was free, I’d use it. Not surprisingly, many content creators promoting devices or products they got for free, are incredibly enthusiastic about them. (I have never seen a negative or remotely negative review on a free device- and there’s no way every product and device is that great.) When devices or products have issues and I message the creator about it, I find that they are very careful in how they word their answers so as not to say anything negative about the company or product. ( I certainly don’t mean to suggest that you are doing this as you seem very honest; that is just been my experience this far.) As someone with a psychological background, I know that bias is a very real issue when one receives a product for free so I tend to follow more creators now who purchase their own products because I feel like their feedback won’t be at all influenced by the relationship with the company.

Hi there! First off, I want to thank you for writing your comment in a respectful way. I really appreciate that! Now, you have addressed quite a few things that I wanted to respond to and hope that this reply isn't too lengthy. You mentioned being put off by Maysama "pushing" their serum with their red light devices. I can understand your hesitancy, and just wanted to share my own personal experience. I have been using red light for over 3 years now(I have several videos sharing my journey on my channel). When I first started I did not use anything (skincare related) before my treatments and got really good results. So I do not think you HAVE to use anything when doing red light. With that said, when I started using the Maysama serum with my red light treatments, I had a huge improvement with my facial redness from rosacea that using just red light alone did not give me. This was huge for me as someone who has struggled with this most of my adult life. Maysama did conduct a very small study and found great measurements of improvement for things like elasticity, redness, wrinkles and pigmentation when combining the serum with LED treatments. I can absolutely attest to the reduction of redness for myself. So I continue to purchase the serum with my own money and use it with my LED treatments because it truly has helped my skin. As far as the bias factor of someone being sent a product for free, I can understand that too. As of the last year in doing my channel, I am now being sent devices in PR, which means that the company is yes, sending to me for free, but there are no strings attached. Of course they are hoping you will mention their product, but no contract or agreement is made that you have to. I appreciate this because it allows me to only make videos that I want to. When Maysama sent me this mask in PR, I never had to mention it all. But I really do think it is unique and I decided I wanted to share my thoughts about it with my viewers. I am also in the process of testing a device I received in PR from another company, that if I decide to do a video on it, there are a few things I don't like about the device and I will share that too. And I will say that even early on when I was accepting products from companies with agreements to do videos, I always made it clear that I would share things I like and DON'T like about the products. Every company I have worked with, expressed that they wanted me to share my honest opinion. With my channel being so small, I do not make much money doing this, and although it would be great to be able to buy every product myself, I just can't afford to do that. So at this point I appreciate that companies are willing to send me things for free in hopes that I will mention it. I like the freedom that gives me in being able to share products that I think my viewers might be interested in. And I can tell you I have received many products for free that I have NEVER mentioned on my channel. And it's not that I think the products are bad, but just not right for me. Sorry for the length of this reply! I feel like I could still go on! lol! But I am going to wrap it up and once again thank you for expressing your opinion in a respectful way. I am always open to differing opinions as long as they are not expressed in rude, hurtful way. Thanks again and I hope you have a great one!

@@tinasbestmidlife thank you so much for your respectful and thoughtful response. I’ve heard rosacea can be extremely challenging and I am so glad that the serum works for you. And I’m sure that it does help the mask work better. I was actually referring to a specific video. I saw where I felt like the founder was really pushing the serum with one of her panels in an interview she did with a Contant creator. She seems like a perfectly lovely person. It’s when the numbers aren’t comparable to other devices that I hesitate because if the creators know what the number should be at, why would they not make them at that level? It’s great that it covers the mouth but if the intensity isn’t where it should be, or comparable to the other devices, it’s something to consider. I absolutely respect that as a smaller channel, you can’t possibly buy all the devices. I appreciate that there are Products, they’ve chosen not to review because you wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending them. I shouldn’t have said that I don’t trust anyone who accepts free products but as someone with a psychological background, you did a lot of research on bias, it is some thing that comes into my mind. I don’t mean to suggest that it makes anyone dishonest but I do definitely think that there are contact creators who realize that if they were to say something negative, they might lose their relationship with that company, regardless of what that company told them, and they’re not willing to do that, so I have seen that they will not say anything negative about the product, even when I question them about numerous negative reviews. I really appreciate the time you took to write this response and I look forward to seeing future videos. Thank you again.

Is this mask soft enough to use for under chin and neck area etc...

Although the mask is flexible, I found it hard to conform around my neck. I felt like doing that the lights were just not close enough to my skin. Hope that helps!

It only covers the face. Mito red light company says pulse light studies were is for laser not led and it is just a gimmick for led.
@tinasbestmidlife
@tinasbestmidlife 4 месяца назад
It is true the neck gets left out with this mask. I am wondering if Maysama will be coming out with a neck version?? Obviously the research on pulsed light is newer, but I have read a few studies that do look at pulsed LED (not laser) and there does seem to be some benefits there. I do look forward to more research done on this. Thank you for watching and I hope you have a good one!

@@tinasbestmidlife it’s working for you for sure. I haven’t purchased anything yet but I’m might get a panel. I have seen on Red Light Therapy’s RU-vid channel he faces sideways in front of a panel. Not sure if it is of any benefit but just sharing.

I kind of go back and forth between masks and panels, but recently I’ve still been enjoying the panel. That’s interesting about standing sideways. I’m going to watch. As you probably noticed, I feel like a big nerd with all this red light stuff, but I really find it fascinating!

I was wondering whether you would need to do front and sides with a panel. I did notice when people face it directly, there is a shadow on the sides of the neck and face.
