The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, aka The "Mormon" Church, is the largest of the sects to survive the "succession crisis" after the martyrdom of Joseph Smith. We believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as carried through the leadership of Brigham Young is the true and authroitative successor and modern iteration of the restored faith bu there's a lot of people who see things another way and they're joining forces to challenge the narrative and the authority of the LDS church. One of their champions is Justin Griffin, the director of the controversial new documentary, "Who Killed Joseph Smith" and we had him on the show to tell us a little about the new offshoot movement/religion/group that calls themselves "The Remnant".

Truth is so important and we are commanded to seek for it even if it means questioning what we believe or don't want to accept something that goes against our beliefs. I am grateful for those who seek truth and ask tough questions and are willing to share what they believe, even if I don't always agree.

After throughly digging in to the primary literature such as what’s found in the Joseph Smith papers and early periodicals and other contemporaneous sources, I now believe that Joseph and Hyrum stood against the influx of polygamy until their deaths. And yes, this new belief has vast implications.

In some of the documents it Joseph Smith says he is against the "Teaching and Preaching" of polygamy. There is one document in the Joseph Smith Papers Project where it looks like also the word "Practice" is written but then scratched out. Having said that I think Joseph saw the writing on the wall and that polygamy was in the long run going to be bad for the Church in Nauvoo and needed to step away from it. Also I bet Emma was a big influencer in getting rid of it.

I have been to Carthage. Walked up the stairs the mob would have had to ascend, sat in the room where Joseph and Hyrum were killed and looked out the window that shots allegedly came through and I too was left wondering how it was possible to have happened the way Taylor and Richards claimed. Then we went to the museum where the artifacts were and as we were telling our kids that John Taylor's watch had taken a bullet that saved him, one of the workers corrected us and said that had been proven false. If it didn't happen the way they said it did one would have to at the least ask how did it happen and possibly even ask why did they present a false narrative.
@richardclark2495
@richardclark2495 2 года назад
But was it an intentionally false narrative? I don't care as much if they got it wrong. I care if Taylor and Richards intentionally mislead people, and if they did, why? The entire story about the watch could just be a misunderstanding. Taylor could have believed he was telling the truth. When it comes down to it, they were being shot at. Taylor had been shot many times. Is it not possible that they could have misinterpreted events? Yeah, totally.

I don't come to his same conclusions, but Justin certainly held his own. You guys did a good job of hearing him out, asking good follow-up questions, and then acknowledging his answers. This becomes quite the conundrum when a church tells you to receive your own personal revelation, but then you have thousands of people who receive personal revelation contrary to that church's teachings. And then add to that all the people of various faiths throughout the world who have visions, angelic visitations, and spiritual witnesses, all contradictory to each other. The reasoning "this Church produces such good fruits, so how could it possibly not be what it claims to be? If something so nefarious happened at a particular point in its history, wouldn't God have removed it from the Earth?" is fascinating to me. Seventh-day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses use this same exact line of reasoning. The Catholic Church donates billions of dollars every year to humanitarian efforts, more than any other church in the world. This doesn't change the fact that the Catholic Church is also one of the most insidious organizations that has ever existed, outside of totalitarian regimes.

"If the Book of Mormon is true, then the LDS church MUST be false." Quote is from an evangelical Christian who read the Book of Mormon with an open mind to find out if it was true. He then gave a list of things that are taught in the Book of Mormon and that the current lds church teaches/practices the opposite. It stuck with me, because I couldn't deny any of his points. Even an outsider to the lds church could see that the current lds church is not congruent with the teachings in the Book of Mormon. I spent my whole life growing up lds and being blind to the obvious conflicts between what the Book of Mormon actually teaches vs what was taught in church.

@@longclaw99 wow, I guess bible believers are not christians? (doesn't the bible say to keep women silent in the church)? On a serious note, the Book of Mormon is a abridgment and telling of a story, and tells of teachings for us and what happened then. With that in mind, we also believe in continuing revelation (articles of faith) and God reveals procedures and teachings for our day. Read the old testament and no one is a follower of the Lord if you use that yard stick. Get real, God leads his church today and gives us doctrines for us today. Just as long as you obey the one True Commandment to Rule them All, which is: "Follow the Prophet!" Since God changes His mind a lot, because He's really wishy-washy, thank goodness we've got 'living profits' (bad pun intended) to tell us what God means from day to day, because we sure can't trust what He said in the Book of Mormon, sheesh how behind the times am I to still be putting any stock in that old useless book? /sarc Still, the FACT remains that the Book of Mormon teachings do NOT comport with what the current lds corp teaches.

Your last sentence brings out and important point “… verses what was taught in church” remember what is taught in church is taught by lay members, not professional scriptorians, maybe not even very spiritual or even knowledgeable members, it takes a lot of work to study and learn. It’s very possible teachers in the church have taught false or misleading/untrue doctrine. I personally have not agreed on every point I’ve heard throughout the years in Sunday school or Priesthood. I agree with you that the Book of Mormon is key and the foundation of the church, which you said in around about way. Honestly, my faith is not shaken because someone in the church either purposely or ignorantly was not right on point. I’ve never walked out and thought oh well the church must not be true, it’s more likely I’ve walked out thinking yeah that wasn’t really my understanding of the doctrine…

I can't help but think about Paul's prophesy regarding apostasy in the latter days, "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." This guy clearly did his homework, but it just convinced him of his theory, but didn't bring him any closer to the truth. It is insane to try to apply modern ballistics to a 200 year old crime scene, where the weapons and ammunition is not fully understood, heck they don't even know what the weapons were, and think you can get a solid conclusion. It is just not reliable enough to get a conviction. Better evidence is the lives and actions of those being accused. My 4th great grandpa was present when Brigham Young was transfigured and testified about it in his journal. This experience completely convinced him to follow the quorum of the 12 when he was trying to know what to do. John Taylor took what, 3-4 bullets himself. Neither of the two got a better position from this, they kept thier same positions in the church. Heck my grandparents owned Willard Richards house in Salt Lake, where my Mom grew up. It was a normal house, they were not wealthy. Another thing that brings doubt is there was a mob fixed on killing Joseph Smith, with the mob there, wouldn't JT and WR just need to step aside and let the mob do the job? Why do they need to commit the deed? Interesting episode however. You guys are awesome.

I am so glad for a revelation I received to do my dad's work after he had been deceased for 12 years. Because of my life before my conversion I never felt like I belonged in the temple or even taking the sacrament was sometimes difficult, and believe after my conversion I had exiled any suggestive music, movies or anything in kind. So I knew I was worthy to belong, but the burden of my past would still haunt me. So one night as usual I was dreaming and then I heard my dad say as clear as if he was still alive talking to me over the phone. He said in his normal way, "what are you doing" I said nothing just working on the bus, he said okay. Now I knew that when he called and started the conversation that way that he was asking for help. I said to him, did you need my help, he said yah I could use some help, I said, I can come over now if you want, he said it's okay whenever you have time. So I woke up and told my wife and son about the dream and that I was about 95 percent sure that he wanted me to do his work in the temple, and they agreed. When ever I have a request from God, then three days later I will receive the validation. So the dream was Sunday morning and on Wednesday at 455 AM 20 minutes before alarm goes off and I was not dreaming, a voice woke me up and told me to read Isaiah 56. The chapter calls Israel to the Mountain of the Lord the House of Prayer to do thy sacrifices. The story is more involved, but now I know that I belong.

This quote is something I've wanted to post for several of your guys' videos. Because many think that receiving revelation from the Spirit is as simple as just praying and coming up with your own conclusions. But if you're not studying the scriptures and learning what God has already revealed through His prophets (the things that are in harmony with each other and the official teachings of the Church), then you really have to discern if you're getting guidance from the Holy Ghost or getting guidance from the devil who "whispereth in their ears" in order to bind them with "his awful chains". (2 Nephi 28:22) "Our right to guidance from Holy Ghost. We have the right to the guidance of the Holy Ghost, but we cannot have that guidance, if we willfully refuse to consider the revelations that have been given to help us to understand and to guide us in the light and truth of the everlasting gospel. We cannot hope to have that guidance when we refuse to consider these great revelations which mean so much to us both temporally and spiritually. Now if we find ourselves in this condition of unbelief or unwillingness to seek for the light and the knowledge which the Lord has placed within our reach, then we are liable or in danger of being deceived by evil spirits, the doctrines of devils, and the teachings of men. And when these false influences are presented before us, we will not have the distinguishing understanding by which we can segregate them and know that they are not of the Lord. And so we may become prey unto the ungodly, to the vicious, to the cunning, to the craftiness of men.” (Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, p.43) Just spiritual food for spiritual thought. And I while I like this guy's sincerity and honesty, I think he is seriously misguided, misinformed and tied up in some "awful chains."

I can't imagine a loving God dealing harshly with anyone who is doing their best to do what they believe is right, whether or not their actions really are right or not. Saul of Tarsus is a good example. The Lord appeared to him and was able to bring him over to his side. But before that he did all in his power to persecute the church. What if the Lord didn't appear to Saul and Saul remained an antagonist. I still think the Lord cared about him the same and saw the good in him. We all can only do our best. Now, on the contrary, if someone knows truth and fights against it and purposely seeks the sorrow and pain of others then are they really doing good and do they deserve harsh judgement? Still, only God knows the answers to that ultimately and the thoughts and intents of the heart. So, good question.

At about 38 minutes, you were discussing plain and precious truths being removed. Could I again bring up D&C section 101 from the 1835 edition which specifies that marriage is monogamy. That section was also in the 1844 edition, which had already been approved by Joseph before his death. He wasn't around to stop the removal of the old 101, to be replaced by the current 132.

Kwaku, you talked about Joseph F. Smith and D&C section 138. This is the same prophet who went to congress and told them that we no longer practice polygamy, then later, in 1906, sent William Gailey Sears to Mexico to find a second wife, because he and his current wife, Athelia Viola Call, were childless. Is this something like lying (before congress) for the Lord?

I have to thank him for doing this movie. To me it answered all the questions I had from the first time I learned about the church history. I'm a convert. I never understood polygamy. The feelings of people of color not righteous to be a priesthood holder. Etc. I felt I did not know but if I prayed and ask if it was true. I'd one day know. I only love Joseph Smith even more I never felt close or loving towards B.Young etc. I know the book of Mormon is true and again. Why the church isn't willing to look at these things is not my business today maybe tomorrow. I've seen years of good men and woman doing the best they can. I'm not willing to throw the whole church away. It's even been said that in latter days there would be problems. And he we are. I'm sorry and sad people have left the church .. I tell people remember the day of your baptism and remember the feelings you had. Thats what is important. Pray and ask but sometimes we need to sit a long time to see the truth. I'm hoping that the leaders of the church will come out and restore this man to the church and Priesthood. Peace.

I was wrong by a bishop, or so I thought. But I learned that asking if the leader is right is not the same as asking if I should follow and sustain. Whom the Lord calls, he justifies. I am greatful God supports me as a husband and father and justifies my mistakes as I honestly strive. In some ways the church is in Apostasy. Many members definitely are. I think the church waters down the doctrine too much to avoid offense. I think it worries too much about reputational risk. It distributes me the church would try and push someone away from the Tree because they are worried about what people will shout from the great and spacious building. Because of the wickedness of the people (in and out of the church), plane and precious truths are no longer being taught or are being obfuscated. But the truth is still there for those with eyes to see and ears to here. That said, the spirit says to me, stay with the church. Keep an eye on the Apostles, they aren't perfect, but they are called and have a work to do. Help out at the local level. The Apostles are all old and all still boomers. God could make major shifts in focus and manor of administration relatively easy. In the meantime, we must prepare ourselves and our families for what is coming. Better in the church than out because of priesthood authority, the book of mormon, and they are still receiving modern revelation. And remember to ask in each place of disagreement, "should I follow?" Not just "is this right?" The spirit often answers the question asked. It doesn't lie, but it does shave hairs in meaning. We also insert our own feelings and it takes constant daily practice to differentiate.

I can see that many things point to Christ in the Book of Mormon but where is the temple imagery that is similar to what happens in LDS temples? Nephi built a temple where they may have fulfilled the law of Moses and sacrificed animals. Otherwise, it seems to be a meeting place: King Benjamin has his people gather near the temple and Jacob speaks to the sinners about pride and polygamy in the temple. I also don't see a "covenant path" in the Book of Mormon. Justin gave the impression that a lot has been added to the current church and I suspect he's correct.

He misspelled his name on at least one document and sometimes signed with an X. The BofM is a complex tapestry that would have been difficult to change around, much like Isaiah. Instead of changing the book, they just dropped it from general use. In the 60s or 70s, Hugh Nibley gave church officials a hard time for not advocating and utilizing the supposed cornerstone of the faith. Regarding the question about D&C 138 it does not really add new core doctrine to the Gospel. Joseph F Smith was pondering about a doctrine that was already taught in the Bible and that Joseph Smith Jr understood and taught which was noted by his deceased brother Alvin being given the chance to accept the gospel in the Spirit World. D&C 138 does not add to the gospel but rather gives details that are a logical next step to how things might work. The Saints were doing baptisms for the dead prior to the curse being given, so again D&C 138 had well been established over 70 plus years prior to D&C 138.

"We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression." Same goes for prophets who screw up and dishonor their priesthood or fall short. Sect 121. Amen to that man. Only that man or men! Not necessarily all those in succession or all those bestowed with it. That's how I see it. A man's priesthood stands on its own. God choses who he reveals to & when contingent on their righteousness and ability to follow God rightly. Think of Samuel. God spoke to him still, called his name actually from above. Eli was allowing his sons to do wickedly in the temple and the church was being corrupted. Prophets are called by God. It's not a succession line as we assume. We devised that. The 2 prophets who will be called to Jerusalem will not be LDS prophets for their specific mission. I will say despite all the marvelous things since the errors of Brigham & men (my mom was a convert in the late 60's and our ancestors were instrumental in us joining the church for the truths therein), we are still living far beneath our priesthood power. However, the church has retained many of the truths of the restoration along with the tares & false cultural ideas. See Matt 13:24-30 and it may help in understanding. JS Matt 1:37, " And whoso treasureth up my word shall not be deceived..." Please also read Deuteronomy 18:20-22 about prophets who follow false Gods who speak presumptuously. Hugh Nibley said once that apostasy doesn't happen by denouncing the gospel but by corrupting from within. True words. We must be close to the spirit to truly understand the events that lie in front of us concerning the 2nd coming of Christ. We must hunger & thirst, study & discern truth to avoid deception.

They were about to be outed for practicing plural marriage and like David of old were willing to do anything to hide their sin and maintain their power. In a letter to Orson Hyde Nov. 12, 1845 William Smith, Joseph's only surviving brother wrote,"...in the event of your departure to the wild and cheerless far-west. Your tyrant usurpers will there be shielded from civilized law, and ere long you will be made to feel the lash of their power. My life and exertions will be (in order to perpetrate the names of my father's family and with honor to the noble martyred brothers Joseph and Hiram wipe away the disgrace, the stain, the evils that, since their deaths, have crept into the church. And by too frequent use of their names, the twelve are carrying out the most wicked, base and unhallowed purposes that could be devised under the cloak of Joseph and Hiram's names. Brethren! be assured that Joseph or Hiram never would have sanctioned the present wicked plans of the twelve; their corruption, their sink of iniquity, their removal to the wilderness, their doctrine of polygamy, usurpation, etc.) exercise for the redemption of the church to its original purity, and the rights of my father's and brother's family." (Warsaw Signal Nov. 26, 1845 Vol II, No 36) Published by William Smith (brother to Joseph) in the New York Tribune, Thursday, May 28 1857 "I have good reason for believing that my brother Samuel H. Smith, died of poison at Nauvoo, administered by order of Brigham Young and Willard Richards, only a few weeks subsequent to the unlawful murder of my other brothers, Joseph and Hiram Smith, while incarcerated in Carthage jail. Several other persons who were presumed to stand between Brigham Young and the accomplishment of his ambitions and wicked designs mysteriously disappeared from Nauvoo about the same time, and have never since been heard from." Joseph was an honest man who loved his only wife Emma. He translated the BOM that not only condemned polygamy but also doing things in secret. He was tarred and feathered, mocked and beaten, jailed and killed for refusing to deny the truth. Yet, we are asked to believe Brigham's narrative that the man who had enough faith to see God the Father and his son Jesus Christ and refused to deny it would lie, sneak around, decieve his wife and deny living a commandment God had given him. Isn't it interesting that polygamy finally ended for good when Hyrum's son became president of the church. It's as though God righted the wrong and got the church back on track. @@stevenpictures1 People were still secretly entering into polygamous marriages after Woodruffs manifesto. It wasn't until Joseph F. Smith essentially issued another manifesto threating excommunication that it really ended. You are reading Jacob 2 with the interpretation you have been given. Read it in context. The command is not to practice polygamy. And God has proven since the creation that he does not need polygamy to raise up seed. That Nathan says God gave David everything, including wives, does not mean literally. Everything we have technically comes from God. But unless you believe God contradicts himself, God didn't tell David to practice polygamy or give him extra wives as in Jacob 2:24 he says it was abominable before Him. Eliza R. Snow was married to Brigham and the story about Emma pushing her down the stairs has been proven a lie. It was Heber who told his daughter Helen he wanted her to marry Joseph. Helen never left her parents house until she married Horace Whitney. There would be no need for Brigham to bribe most of the alleged wives of Joseph as the majority of them were married to either Brigham or Heber and they all had a vested interest in protecting the practice of polygamy and thereby their families. There isn't a shred of credible contemporaneous evidence to substantiate the claim that Joseph was a polygamist. To accuse Joseph of fearing man (Emma) more than God, wow. Emma was not known for having a temper and Joseph wasn't known for being afraid of persecution. You are believing things that fly in the face of every testimony and document we have about them. Do you also believe Brigham's lie that Emma poisoned Joseph? Young Samuel died within a month of his brothers under suspcious circumstances. Samuel's wife and daughter also believed he was murdered. Writes author Richard Abanes: "[In the wake of Josepsh Smith's death,] Samuel Smith . . . seemed a reasonable choice to many Saints [for the Church's next president]. In fact, he nearly took control of the Church before the Twelve had returned [to Nauvoo], much to the irritation of Willard Richards, who wanted no leader to be named until all the Apostles were present. "Richards may have gone so far as to have Samuel murdered to prevent any succession. Samuel's wife believed this to be the case, naming as her husband's murderer the Chief of Police--Hosea Stout, a Danite widely known for having a violent streak and a cold-hearted disposition. "Everyone knew he was more than capable of homicide. He had already been, and would continue to be, connected with several murders and assaults involving apostates and Church critics. . . . "In the case of Samuel Smith, Stout had acted as Samuel's care-giver when he fell ill, and in that capacity had given Samuel 'white powder' medicine daily until his death. Samuel's wife, daughter, and brother . . . all believed the powder to be poison." John Taylor argued on January 23, 1848 that there is a righteous motive for killing, and the killer should not be judged by his brethren: “He did it to save his people from oppression.” “Public meeting in the middle fort it being sunday. Elder Taylor addressed the meeting. He spoke of the unjust judgments rendered by men of the world. It was not safe to judge another, because we do not know the motives that actuate men. Many a man loses his life by the unjust judgments of others for they judge by the sight of the eye and the hearing of the ear. Christ came not to judge by the sight of the eye or by the hearing of the ear, but to judge righteously. He referred to Moses who killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. This was a righteous act of Moses. He did it to save his people from oppression. Yet he was judged by others as a murderer, and that by his brethren, who were disputing, and Moses would have been slain, but he escaped from their hands.” (Newest acquisition in the 250,000 item John Hajicek collection of Mormon material culture.)

A couple of things I noticed about Griffin's positions: -He seems to be using some circular reasoning in regards to the Doctrine of Christ. He talks about being able to know that something is scripture if it accurately teaches the Doctrine of Christ. That's how he knows the Book of Mormon is scripture. When asked where he gets his understanding of the Doctrine of Christ, he cites the Book of Mormon. That doesn't work logically. -He props Joseph Smith up a lot, which I'm down for. Of course, if you believe that Brigham Young and John Taylor were murderers you wouldn't like them. However, if I remember right, he bashes on the fact that we focus on Temples. Joseph Smith was the one who instituted the endowment ceremony, not Brigham. So, if Joseph really is the prophet that everything should be aligned with, then any true church should still include Temple ceremonies. -I think that he runs into issues when it comes to the fact that Joseph Smith practices polygamy. Maybe I'm getting this wrong, but shouldn't he believe that polygamy should be practiced presently if Joseph Smith was the last valid prophet of God? -He seems to heavily emphasize that New Testament is what is missing the plain and precious truths, not the Old Testament. I don't follow that logic. Why does he assume the Old Testament would remain more intact than the New Testament? If anyone sees issues with my logic, I'm down to hear what you've got.

Sooooooo John Taylor must be the worst assassin ever. After shooting Hyrum and Joseph he turns the gun on himself and shoots himself multiple times. Or maybe Willard Richards shot his co-conspiritor. That must be it. Then Taylor asks the man who just shot him to carry him to safety. I love how your guest came to the conclusion that there was no mob based on a visit to the site (170 years later) and seeing that there were no bullet marks on the outside window casement and almost no bullet holes in the room itself. Real researchers located the actual receipts for one of the remodelings and it includes a replacement window casing. During discovery the attorneys went to the site and counted something like a hundred bullet holes inside the room. Since then the building changed hands several times. Do you really think that owners would go more than a century without spackling and painting? NO MOB?! The defense at trial was not that the killers were never there. It was that since laws are created by the populace at large then these particular murders must have been legal, having broad support among the citizens. And the jury bought it and let their friends and family members go unpunished. At least critics of the church will have to stop pointing out that Joseph emptied his gun into the crowd, hitting one person who later died of his wound. After all, the mob was never there. Over all, he makes a terrible case. Not that anyone has all the answers and a perfect rendition of what happened, moment by moment.

It's ridiculous if they wanted the prophet en his brother killed, the just have to do nothing and the mob will killed them ( like they actually did) no need to murder there brothers it's really ridiculous, it's don't make any sense. This guy is crazy, he really confused the Spirit with the devil 😈. I served a mission, I have two brothers than are inactive, my oldest brother come up with his unique believe he is 💯 procent " sure" it's is the holy ghost, he believe the prophets are wrong, his core believe is that Jesus Christ did not suffer for us, but he show us how we have to do like he did, he believe that in this life we have to become perfect and transform or body to perfection. If not we are doomed to reincarnation until you do it in the flesh. I know it's crazy and ridiculous,but he believed it is the only way and the only truth.

You always follow the spirit. Following flesh can lead one to hell or like Jeremiah 17: 5-6 following flesh leads to an uninhabited salt land.

what's interesting is even if their was wickedness on the part of founders of the Church is when we look at The Book of Mormon we have Alma a reformed wicked priest of King Noah performing Baptisms and becoming a leader in the Church and where did he get his authority? Noah. who selected Alma to be a priest? Noah.

I just listened to this. Your guest was interrupted in the most important point and honestly, this was unprofessional. 3 interviewers who maybe cared more about their own pints than truly listening. You guys missed some huge golden nuggets in that interview. 💯

This episode does a great job at illustrating the foundational issue of trying to get an answer from the Holy Spirit or gaining a spiritual witness. We have two groups who are coming to two different conclusions using the same method. How do we know who is right?

I am from Brazil, I have been to Rio de Janeiro many times, I lived there for 6 months. I have seen shootings many times and I have seen on TV many victims to those shootings. I can affirm that people have been hit by bullets that had been shot from the bottom of hills or favelas and hit people at the top of the hills in ways that you don't understand how it was possible, considering the position of the cops, hundreds of houses, etc. So, just considering the bullets and where they came from, I can say that it was totally possible for the bullets to have come from the outside. I have seen similar examples in Rio. And believe me, it rains bullets in Rio every day and they hit people even when they are protecting themselves in bars, homes, gyms, etc. I have seen that.

Wow reading this comments really shows that many will fall away from then true Church and Gospel of Jesus Christ based on their own pride that they, and only they recieved revelation unto themselves. We are headed for dark times, where these members will leave and claim truth unto themselves, an preach their worldview mingled with Scripture. The proper Preisthood authority is with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and that church alone. These "Remnants" will never have such authority and will be humbled when the time comes.

Actually D&C 45 says only those who can hear and follow the spirit will be saved in the last days. It’s the real leap of faith.

26:00 So correct, no other branches have the Temple. Justin, no, most restorationists are NOT true to the teachings of Joseph when it comes to the temple, baptisms for the dead, endowments, etc. In fact, only the Cutlerites (not restorationists as you describe it) have any ordinances, that I am aware of. Please do not represent that the restorationists are like LDS.

26:00 Interestingly, the largest restoration church is the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints based right across the street from the Community of Christ headquarters. Interestingly to me they call themselves the "remnant."

What creeped me out about his movie was the "I"s . Thousands if not millions of church members have gone to Carthage and have been moved by the Spirit, their testimonies have been strengthen by going. But Justin all alone has the feeling he should not go there he just didnt feel good about it. Its the I'm special, I have a better connection to the Holy Ghost and know more than anyone else. Its called the, I want to be a prophet syndrome.
