Every scratch and ding has a story. So many of them that they’re hard to remember. It survived the last ten years of police work and I still wear it often. I got my hands on to the JDM exclusive white dial and it’s a great everyday watch.

I picked up the SSK023 from Teddy’s site a few weeks ago. I have noticed that I keep going back to this watch day after day. Would recommend, hoping to see the white dial option available soon.

I got the SSK023 from my favourite online (local to Australia) AD in a special VIP Customer exclusive special for around $260USD!!! Absolute bargain for a banger of a watch! Only thing I’ll probably do is throw an aftermarket milled clasp on, because besides that element, I love the bracelet!!

I bought the SSK023 from your store, Teddy. I agree with the negatives you covered, but obviously not a showstopper for me. The crystal shows a nice distortion, but does enhance my anxiety a little over the non-sapphire glass. Also just thought I'd mention the dial does not look as cluttered on my wrist as what we see in a video. Good day.

Basically an Explorer II homage for 95% less money. Since this wasn’t available yet, I dropped an NH34 into an SPRD case and added a fixed 24 hour stainless steel bezel, sapphire crystal, and explorer style hands and dial. It’s one of my favorite watches now. All that’s missing on my version and Seiko’s is a white dial like the Explorer II. I’ll make that change soon. Bravo Seiko for such a great offering.

Teddy I bought the bracelet version of this watch because of you and your love of Seiko - particularly your glowing reviews of the older Seiko 5 GMTs (and I my wife and I regularly go between Sydney Australia and NYC). I have smaller wrists just like yourself and just getting into watches so not looking for an expensive piece to start. You are also the whole reason I'm into watches in the first place and I love my new watch!

Got myself this very model (silver) and very happy with it. Has been my GADA at the start of this year, 2024. A few features that I really like about this version would be: - small dial GMT - orange GMT hand which turned out to be just the right accent to the watch face - bracelet is 👌🏻 - embossed numeric dial - the general finish is really great - if you stare at the dial at a certain angle, you will see how really beautiful the dial is. Love this purchase and will keep this watch for sure!

Hour indices should've been lumed. Inboard printed military time indices don't really do much other than crowd the dial on a GMT watch.

got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

I bought them both. Very pleased with them. The ssk023 is a great size and the bracelet is super comfortable. The ssk025 is awesome except for the leather double pass strap. Toss it, I put it on a white stitch epsom. Beautiful. 👍🏼 Rock on Teddy!

Got my sbsc009 JDM in ginza this past week. What's cool about the JDM variant of this watch is the white dial, the "made in Japan" notation on the dial rather than just "Japan" and the same notation on the case back, and finally the exchange rate. Great watch for the price in my opinion.

Really liked the review, still I would pick the black one but prefer the earlier field watches. Those dials are a lot less cluttered. Although I do appreciate the extra gmt and bezel do fetch something to the game.

If it didn't have the 13-24 markers, I'd be lining up to buy it. It's a field watch sure, but it's also a GMT and so many numbers clutter up the dial.

Why isn’t the white dial version of the SSK available in the US? The black dial looks great but the white dial looks phenomenal (exactly like a polar explorer).

One thing to note, when I tried on the 025 it’s thicker because the band is pull through in nature and so add two layers of the leather nato style strap. Also, my wrists are quite thin; the case sizing was fine but you get excess band when strapped on. You’ll have to tuck the excess back over the holding sleeve which in my opinion is less to be desired. I actually watched this video and went to get the watch but didn’t end up getting it, always a reminder to try it before you buy it.

Teddy - my SSK023 arrived this past week. Got band adjusted yesterday/Saturday. Wearing it now and will wear it to work this week. My fellow execs will be eyeballing it for sure

Ordered the 025 from you last week. Cannot wait for it to come in, this will probably be my daily watch for 2024. Love the black on black look with the hint of green in the hour markers.

I picked up the deploy the one on the bracelet and although I do like it and I also own the 5kx gmt and I’m thinking of upgrading to saffire. Hard to justify Seikos pricing nowadays when brands like San Martin give you much more value for your money. The 39mm 62mas homage I just picked up for under $200 has ar coated saffire great lume great finishing and is running between + 1 to +3 seconds fast on average ❤

I have the SBSC011, which is the JDM version of the SSK023. I’ve had it for a little over a week and it hasn’t left my wrist. It’s a great watch; I’m a sucker for field watches, and always wanted a GMT, so I picked it up as soon as I could. This is the perfect watch for me: I enjoy the look (sure, the dial is a bit busy, but it looks great in person and on the wrist). I also like that it has 100m water resist, and it didn’t break the bank either. It’s going to be the watch I travel with most of the time. It is very versatile, and I also don’t need to worry too terribly much about it. Would I like sapphire? Sure. But I’ll just have a watchmaker swap out the crystal for a domed sapphire at the first service. Not a big deal. The GMT complication adds a lot of visual interest. I enjoy it tracking the progress of my day at home, and I think it’ll be really useful when visiting different timezones. I put mine on a brown leather strap, though I think I’ll use the bracelet for the summer. Very happy with the watch and fully recommend it.

Teddy, a noob question. There are hour markings at 2 hour intervals on the bezel. There are also 24 hour notations on the inner ring. What is the GMT hand pointing at?

amzwatch has set a new standard for replica watches. Their craftsmanship is impeccable. Its hard to tell the difference from the originals

I bought this watch and it came in the mail. Before I saw this watch in person, I was attracted to the black edition because of its affordable price, interesting functions (including GMT), the attractive look of the black edition, and Teddy’s glowing shout-out in a previous video from about 3 weeks to a month ago. When it came in the mail I was disappointed and underwhelmed. The strap was the worst aspect. It’s cheap looking and I didn’t like how you have to double it over on the side. Also, I found that the dial was pretty small and it seemed overcrowded with all of the details going on. I also bought it to be an all purpose watch for everyday use and it didn’t cut it for me. To be blunt, it wasn’t nice enough and did not check off enough boxes to be an all purpose kind of watch. When I say all purpose, I mean that it’s something that you can wear casually, as well as for work and for more formal events if you want (everything aside from rigorous activity). I bought the SPB243 instead and it is a far superior watch for my taste. Also, in Canadian dollars, the price is around $400 more and that makes a world of difference. Happy watch hunting!

Its easy to like yet its getting into a price range where I would prefer to pick a microbrand option. Its personal I know! I'm not keen on watches that are 400+ and the first advice you get is replacing the bracelet. Seeing this watch on nearly all the channels I am subscribed to I am leaning towards that its slightly overhyped? Field / GMT & Field GMT have quite the fanbase, it's not unexpected.

Really eye balling the silver one. However that price is a bit steep, coming from my timex titanium expedition. it was $360 that I got for 280. sapphire front and back and 200m of water resistance not the most accurate though. Has anyone bought this watch? curious as to what people think of it.

If you look at the quality you can get for just over 1k. Probably the equivalent to something double the price if you are going to a store to to buy a watch then It’s worth paying the extra money and personally I would have SSK gmt sekio released a couple of years ago over these two new watches.

Check out the Shumate GMT from NFW watches (a microbrand). It has the latest GMT movement from Citizen Miyota and is a robust dive watch with an interesting history with US Special Operations Forces since 2010.

At over $400 and no saphire crystal this holds zero interest for me. The Marathon stainless quartz I bought from Teddy is just perfect with the tan leather NATO strap I added myself. I love being able to see the time in the dark everytime!!❤

If it had a screw down crown, I’d buy it in a heart beat. That said, this is still hard to stray away from.

The 2 24 hour markers are redundant. Should've picked one or the other or made the bezel bidirectional.
