The New Motorola Edge (2022) First Impressions 

I don't see a plastic back as a negative. With glass it's just one more thing 2 break.

Personally I think a 6.8 inch display makes things look better than a 6.6 inch display even if the 6.6 is Oled

I had the edge 2021 and sent it back mainly because it felt too overpriced and the battery life was pretty bad. So even though I think the edge 2022 looks amazing, I’d wonder if the battery drain and screen on time would be less than great too.

Quit the unboxing..useless. Who cares about the plastic frame, you're going to use a case. I liked the side mounted fingerprint sensor...really miss that.

I like the features that has been offered by Moto in this mediatek powered device because it comes through well for a seamless user experience within an accessible price point.

I think if you're looking for a flagship phone this does lack some of the basic stuff that you would get with a flagship but I have had quite a few Motorola phones these things are like a Honda they just keep going and going

It's available on Verizon also. Interesting though, the one from Verizon has aluminum (exactly what it doesn't say,) with a Gorilla glass screen, and it is 256gb storage.

I'm All over the place found another video my friend. I once wanted that phone but I'm sorry after the LG v60 videos I would pick LG v60 over moto edge 2022 I been using LG v60 hard it will destroy that phone other than 144 hrz which isn't a deal breaker 60hrz on andriod 13 is butter 💪🏿✊🏿🔥

No wall charger is bullcrap for 500 dollar phone

Received one today. So far so good. Big upgrade from my Motorola Droid Turbo 2. It feels a little on the light side as I used a protector on the other. Ordered a rugged protector that should be here by Tuesday. Speed and ease of use are great and the OLED Screen is excellent even in bright daylight. Happy Camper! Got it free with my 55+ essentials deal with T Mobile. $40.00 per month. Unlimited calling & Text. Don't have to worry about the 5GB Data use as I have Xfinity Home Internet that it automatically connects to Hotspots by App as my Area is loaded with them, There is actually one on the street behind my home that we use when we are getting close to our monthly limit, so most of my data will be using Internet, not T Mobile 5G. Great Wi-Fi card, got 120mbs on my Home System from the Family Room in the back of first floor to Router in Front Bedroom 2nd Floor. Xfinity Hot Spot got 23mbs and T Mobile 5G got 37mbs to 51mbs. Home Internet was almost equal to Killer Wi -Fi 6 Card in an XPS 8950 in the Family Room?

Im different I love the Moto Edge 2021 display. But I hate the cameras. Ive been trying to decide between the Edge Plus 2022 which have had several bad reviews and this Edge 2022. The Edge 2021 other then the cameras is just so heavy. Im almost ready for a lighter phone. Is there any problems with the display like the responsiveness when touching it and it not reacting like the Edge Plus. Alot of people have said you have to press stuff multiple times for it to do anything sometimes. When scrolling does the text leave a trail any? Some Oleds the text blurs when you scroll because the pixels cant turn off fast enough. Im leaning towards the Edge 2022 after watching your video

Wouldn't the edge+ from earlier this year be better? I see it get close to the $500 price often

If you see current price of 140 new on Amazon then you would wonder why it was discounted in such a rate incomparable to other Moto phones. Is it because of their false claims of 4 year support during release which turned out to be 3 years of patches almost like G series? Or if this phone has hidden flaws and defects which make them to get rid of it for cheap price? Also I don’t see other phones which have Mediatek 1050. Their 1080 was popular but 1050 nobody wants to buy. I also noticed that 6E modems in routers have negative reviews.

Please no glass back. Plastic is so much better for durability. I dropped my g power with no case from about 6 feet in the air and nothing broke. If it was made from "premium" materials it would have been toast. Motorola name was built on durability

I bought this cellphone and I'm having problems and less than 3 weeks, the cellphone it heats up very quickly.

So I get the whole trend thing everybody's just giving the cable and not the box but whenever I get a new phone I want to use the Motorola brick that comes with it because normally when I get rid of the phone like sell it or get rid of it to a friend I give them the charger

It's a great phone the camera on it is incredible..says it's lightning fast charging it's not and the battery life is supposed to last two days but it doesn't..but overall it is a great phone

Erik, I couldn't find the screen knock on/off setting. I thought this was baked into Android? Did I just overlook it?

I have this phone for a week so far. Battery does not last a full 24 hours which is disappointing. All other specs are great.

Yet ANOTHER one your vids about the Edge 2022 I am commenting on. Unboxed mine last night, got it all setup and ready to be activated later this week, and ran some benchmarks today. Holy crap am I disappointed. Other than a 20% boost in single core/dual core performance, my Velvet is roughly 15% - 20% faster in multi-core and GPU. Both Geekbench 5 & 6. On paper, the Dimensity 1050 should at least match the Dimensity 1000C in multi-core (2x 2.5ghz and 6x 2.0 ghz, vs 2x 2.0ghz and 6x 2.0ghz) and while the GPU I can understand (192 shaders vs 320 shaders), I was still very disappointed vs my Velvet. My TMo LG Velvet was $600 back in August 2020 (paid $300 second hand + Dual Screen for $150 in February 2021), and the Moto Edge 2022 launched at $600 in September 2022 (bought brand new this week for $350). WHAT?!?!!! Hell, my Sprint G8X + Dual Screen (Snapdragon 855) was $800 in November 2019 (bought mine brand new on launch day), and it wipes the floor with the Moto Edge 2022. The TMo LG Velvet (Dimensity 1000C) is essentially an overclocked Snapdragon 845 CPU with an 855 GPU. I only bought my Velvet due to the Sprint/TMo merger (still the best phone I have EVER owned, despite being an HTC guy more than anything). However, I am still going to keep the phone. It has an extra 2GB of RAM and 144hz screen, my phone usage isn't very intensive (so I will see that 20% boost in single core/dual core performance), my Velvet's headphone jack and USB-C ports are completely shot, I won't be afraid to drop it due to the plastic (I don't put cases on my phones), and of course, LG has been out of the game for two years (still waiting on Android 13 though. Supposedly it has been available on the TMo variant for months, but still nothing for me yet). This once again goes to show that if you have a flagship from 2018 (Snapdragon 845), you are still more than well off, and it also shows just how stagnant the cell phone market has become in performance (unlike 2010 - 2017 when things were moving so fast). As an HTC and LG fanboy, I just view that as strangely convenient, given their timing of leaving the US/Flagship/Mobile market all together. Oh and, I meant to say this last night, I have now subscribed. Keep up the amazing work.

What's up brother hey I've had my Moto Edge 2022 going on 2 weeks now after the first day I almost was ready to return it but I decided to give it a second chance cuz I really wanted to see what that Mediatek Dimensity 1050 could do the first time after playing tennis class for about an hour and a half it got extremely hot and started lagging but ever since that first issue it's been good regular everyday use is awesome goes in and out of the apps fast and speedy I really am interested in getting the Motorola Edge Plus I believe you have that phone right? let me know what you think and if I should get the Edge Plus or should just stick with this one. I still have to do a lot of testing as far as the cameras go but I'll keep you posted. Think you're definitely going to like this it's better than the edge 2021.
