A Carrera with the lightest setup and less boosty engine is all you need. Hence the T being an absolute gem. But ppl will talk the GTS up more. More hp doesnt mean more fun.

Congratulations to Porsche for bringing this car !! I owned a 991 Carrera T and loved it every moment. Sold it for a GT3 Touring because the T brought me so much joy that I wanted to go the extra mile. But I still think the T was a truly great car and wouldn't hesitate to drive it again. No comparison possible between the two, both are exciting to drive, both are different cars. I have a manual Touring now, the T was PDK. Based on my experience now I would spec a 992 T with a manual gearbox and I would still keep the rear seats (very handy to still have them and when you fold them down it looks as cool as a rear-seat-delete). I would hesitate between the 18-way seats (they were very comfortable in my T) and the sport bucket seats (they look stunning in my Touring and with a little bit of experimentation they sit comfortable too). Kudos to Porsche to save the manuals ! If interested, a lot of my GT Silver Carrera T and Graphite Blue Metallic GT3 pics are at IG @classicgt3touring Cheers, Luc

@@nesfrostbite7601 I'm not a specialist in different types of clutches but it didn't occur to me whether the Touring's clutch would be heavy or not. I think it just works fine, and even when I'm in city traffic I don't get tired or so. Hope this comment helps

For all those wanting to order a new Porsche. You may get a completed car delivered only to have it sit at the dealer for months waiting for a Bose or Burmeister amp. Both Bose and Burmeister are on backorder. My new Turbo GT delivered minus the Burmeister amp. The dealer says Porsche won’t allow the cars to complete delivery till the amps come in. Could be months! So it sits at the dealer lot for months awaiting a plug and play part.

I believe it is a Base/S with track style options (manual, bucket seats, rear seat delete). I have the 992 base and 992 GTS and honestly, I'd swap my GTS for a 992 base with the GTS options (buckets, rear seat delete). The modern 992 is so ridiculous on the track and street, even a driver getting a dozen track days a year isn't going to be bored with the power/performance of the base. I'm still not even at 7/10s driving on the track with mine.

With the Chinese economy in the crapper, now Prosche feels the need to redirect allocation to the U.S. At no time did the demand for Porsche product line fall off in the U.S. Now all of a sudden we are important again. This is how you treat a customer becasue it's a one time transaction. I can’t tell the difference between this and about all the other 47.8 other 911’s that look pretty much identical. Other than the words after the 911 on the rear.
