The part where "go in and out of a fight with higher chance of survival" sounds more like an Assassin and not a Mage. Such Assassins would be Hanzo, Saber, Natalia, Harley (Ok IK Harley ain't Assassin but he can still be hyper so yea).

The most powerful thing about the revamp is that Odette seems to now know how to swim. Before she said to not tell anyone that she can't, now she enjoys it.
I think her second skill should have a buff, since it has changed. Like when Odette hit something with her second skill she would have increase in movement in able for her to atleast have a chance to survive while someone is chasing. With the current meta, alot of heroes now has a dash skill or capability to easily catch her
@Me when I was born I mean, buff uh something to add in her second skill, idk how to say this because in other moba other feature in their skills called buff so I'm sorry I can't really describe but my point is they should've add movement speed after she hit enemy with second skill. Remember when betosky said that Moonton should add an extra effect for her ultimate 5 months ago. Now they did, but it's not the effect Betosky wanted lol.

I think one of the things that made the old oddete better is the damage reduction They acually removed that and gave a shield that can be affected by life drain,pierced by esmeralda And bursted by any hero that have a lot of late game damage.
No it's the DAMAGE reduction, not as an effect but the reduced damage of Ult in her revamp. The revamped shield (buffed in advanced server to from 600 to 1400) has a lot more to offer than people realize, both that and the dmg reduction have their own pros and cons. One of the main things that keeps holding Odette back aside from her Ult's weaknesses is the playerbase's lack of adaptability, everybody will complain if there's something new and don't adapt to the new playstyle of heroes, Odette's playstle is the one that changed the most in this phase so it's quite understandable.
Esmeralda isn't used that much compared to before. She is rarely seen. You would probably see her at least once or twice a week and that's it. Not like half of the matches you played in a week.
That 2nd phase of Odette's ult is exactly the same thing came into my mind when I first saw the revamped Odette in advance server. I do also think that the developers should have added that feature
If the two of the were to 1v1, ofc old odette would win. But its a 5v5 game, new odette has a bit more potential in team fight. But both has pros and cons
@@izzme5204 New Odette has way less to offer in terms of team fights, she has lesser damage, lesser cc duration and her immobilize not only has slower initiation but also hits fewer targets
Her skill set is actually really good now. Just use her second skill on a minion when there's an enemy nearby to ensure immobilizing them by the second bouncing ball then use the dash of your ult to gank them. Use your first skill also and do a basic attack for maximum damage. Her shield is also really useful against burst heroes

Not really the shield stay if she got interupted by cc so she can survive one shot mage unlike the old one she can only tanking the damage when she doesnt get interupted by cc 😅 but this shield really make her weak in teamfight when she got targeted 😅
I just love Beto's content. His style on giving information is very calming, yet exciting, unlike other RU-vidrs who just show their gameplay and didn't say a word. A second phase is much needed, she’s still pretty much useless after the revamp. Or even if the developers made it so she can still use her skills when she is ulting
Not every hero needs to one shot If she ults in a 5v5 that's a huge advantage which can make a Wipeout to enemy team almost certain like you saw twice in this video
She is more of a chaos hero she was but now she is more poke and chaos so yeah thats why they revamped her to make her ,,more like other mages" like lylia and valir
Thank you Beto for always guiding and teaching us. I was a noob who can only play Aurora, Angela, Nana or Hanabi. Now my hero pool got larger, I learnt to play more roles. I even learnt how to steal lord just with Angela and how to kite around the enemies to avoid their skills and ults. My Fanny enemies even praised me many times for not even getting damage from her rope damages. It was not immediate improvement but after watching alongside the videos everyday, my gameplay got smoother and I learnt the heroes and their skills unconsciously. You could be called my teacher to guide me step by step. So I wanted to say thank you and that I will be always watching your contents for a long long time. ❤️
Hi @Betosky! I am a huge fan from the Philippines. Although my channel is dedicated for Odette, I am just so happy that you finally used her! And YES! Agreed on the second dash OR put back dmg reduction wo removing the shield. OR lowering the shield again and put back the dmg reduction.
I think having damage reduction alongside the shield would be a little too much😅 I believe cc immunity while she has the shield would be more balanced btw I really love ur videos and enjoy watching ur gameplays 😍 Keep it up and good luck ❤
@kwimi pinat bater Finally someone who understand, i usually doesn't stack 3 Passive because you have to Basic Attack, and her immobilize only last for 1,5 second, i think it would be better for 2-1-3 combo without any Stack.
Odette needs a second dash after ultimate, skills 1 and 2 needs a little faster animation and skill 2 needs to split again at the end if it miss hitting anything.
To maximize the usage of Odette's passive (especially when pushing turret), always basic attack turrets first so her passive can bounce to minions/enemy heroes✨
Good to see her getting some attention . The recent updates has been very nice . I wish they hadn't changed anything about Nana in the prev patch . I still like the old Nana better .
lol nana has some great damage its a literal but the molina is balanced the old chase thing is better but its a fair trade between the damage and molina
One thing that I wanted back is her damage reduction because now I can’t 1v1 hayabusa even if I use ult I still die 😭!At least give her small percent reduction
Her early game poke is good. The shield from her ult helps her survive more in the early to mid game (somewhat) but in the late game the shield won't do much. However, in the advance server they buffed her shield output so I'm expecting how that will play out.

Going in and out sounds more of an assassin thing than a mage... so I think it would be broken specially with the big AOE damage... I think the main problem is vulnerability to cc skills so I would suggest immunity to cc while she has shield (just like badang) or maybe give the ult a stun someway so that she can't be stunned right after ulting
They can take the little jump/dash that she recently got before ulting and put it as a second phase dash skill while ulting, so she can ult and chose if to use the second phase dash/jump to go in further and retreat with flicker, or do some crazy freestyle combos with flicker and said dash to go full rambo and dodging some cc skills
I actually use petrify on oddete and here is the reason why: -For me, flicker has a long cool down and I always rely on my battle spell for better ambush/gank -Petrify, in my opinion, is a good option for oddete since she can maintain the enemies in the range of her ult by simple using ult towards them, best works for marksmen -If they can use blink skills to escape or cancel ult, I want to do the most dmg possible (flicker works too by dodging/chasing but has longer cd than petrify) This is only my opinion so you can disagree/ share your thoughts if you wants :D
I've got to disagree with you and that title, Odette revamp is a nerf, decreased damage, shield (that's bad, heroes like Esme will destroy her) short range, etc. Before the revamp, Odette was a literal one shotter. Now is just, meh, below average. Her 2nd skill is so short and slow, and without stun, she's basically free hit, or food.
I like the new feel of her revamp. My only comment or wish is a two-way ultimate: clicking her ultimate will make her stay in one place, while targetting the dash will of course, make her dash to the area. There are times where i catch myself in those two situations equally
I remember going 30k and 0d with her after she revamped although for some reason at times even when I used purify eudora stun for some reason stopped my ult
Another thing you should know is that the passive actually stacks, so you can cast two skils then quickly basic attack twice and the passive activates twice, so its not like Clint or Alucard where the max damage is achieved by basic attack after skill.
a second dash to escape but will leave the dome in place, maybe less damage is dealt if she escapes with the second dash and the same damage if she stays on the center, but dashing will allow her to cast her skills again and trigger her passives
I think it's better that her ult is not blink at first, and the 2nd phase is the blink, so you can reposition in the fight. Whenever I use Odette, I keep in mind what enemy disrupts my ult, like tanks, fighters (specially bane) or any hero who has a cc. I let them ult first before using mine. Also in the early game harass them with her passive, so you'll lower their hp and make them recall. Then you'll have a lot of time to help your teammates. When you have a tank on the team and he's pretty decent setter, stick around, and wait for some tasty set.
Second phase of ult is a great idea alone but if they really add a short dash then odette will have 3 dash including the flicker which I think would be a bit op
I suggest the second skills need more range and make it bounce like her old 2nd skills without hitting the minion because its so hard to aim and very risky too during teamfight
As an Odette main I prefer building clock of destiny before even buying level 1 boots, then buliding level 1 boots then going for Devine glaine and then completing arcane boots. Then I go for holy crystal glowing wand and then genius wand or necklace of durance. For spell I use flicker and for emblem the worship thing that burns enemies. With this build her passive can by itself lower the enemies hp by half if there an enemy nearby and the hero attacked is squishy. Also when you want to umbush someone with close range stun try hitting a wall in a way to not change potision too much.
yeah i agree to beto, second dash in her ult is good so the battle spell is now purify. she easily got stunned because there is no slow in her ulti and her ranged skills are reduce so enemy are easily dive to her and stun her.
The nerfing on slow percentage on 1st from 70% to 30% make me sad. Nerfing from 2s to 1.5s cc on 2nd skill, sadder. Lower its damage on ult is the saddest one. The suprise is not there anymore. The best revamp should have been adding immune from cc for 1-2s is already fine. No need for those nerfs. Demmit
True. Odette's passive is really strong. When I get her in brawl and enemies has a lot of cc's that will cancel my ult I abuse it. Then unknowingly they die.
For Odette, since they added her dancing while ulting, they can do exactly that, but she can do like 5 dashes after using ult and everytime she dashes she is still ulting while doing each dash, so the ult moves with her in the dashes. After each little dash her ult gets smaller. Damage is the same and she doesn't get more shield added on just only from the initial ult dash. If they need to add shields for each dash then they can just like add shield for each dash, but they get smaller. So each dash she will get more shield added on, but it is smaller from the last one, ya know. So when she ults she's all being like a ballerina and then ult another spot, ult is still active as she does her little skip (aka dash) as part of her dance while ulting.
I feel bad for her. She was already doing good before her revamp. In my opinion, Moonton decided to revamp Hayabusa and Kagura couple, and Lancelot, they also included Odette for the sake of Lancelot having a partner.
