It's vindicating watching this. He's not even trying to do the whole "I'm just applying Jungian narrative to a religion I dont believe in" schtick: now he's just doing straight religious arguments.
Its really funny you can listen to "Actual Jake", some corn fanatic that has some satanic imagery as a profile pic, Short Pixie cut, with just opinions and no insight. Yeah, what a great role model, Jordan peterson, world renowned psychologist who lives and breaths to help people and educate people, is far more dumb than this Jake guy. Yeah, great analysis friend. @@Abcde7213 Jorbson's PhD thesis was literally about psychological markers for predisposition to addiction. So his behavior regarding his own addiction doesn't seem very rational at all. And him peddling the whole "clean your own room first" schtick to young men in light of his hypocrisy definitely puts his morality in question.

Addiction is recognized as a disease by health professionals. OP might as well have said "Hank green claims to be this moral guy when he is a former cancer patient!" It's a non sequitur and contributes to condemnation instead of compassion for addicts.
If this autistic can clearly perceive and interpret the metaphor in the letter then I can't imagine someone actually genuinely taking it as literally as they seem to be taking it.

With all this satanic panic going around. The one thing no one has ever explained to me is this. If Satan can corrupt one's soul with imagery or a song, or a game, how weak is your faith in your god? God is supposed to be around creation and all around us. You're telling me an edgy devil image I'd stronger than the actual force behind all. Which do you really think has more power. It's almost like reverse worship of the devil. Proclaiming that your mind can be tainted by the littlest push by his forces. You'd think their faith would be stronger than any temptation by mere human followers of the devil. Let's be honest this is more about being scared about what they sercertly desire but too scared to fulfill.

If you don't believe me, think about this if you are Catholic. The scarements our baptism, first Communion., Confirmation, wedding, then funeral. Your first three rites of passage come before (if you were born into the church) you graduate from high-school. Am I the only one that sees the problem with this? The human mind continues to mature and grow. If you were born into the church your whole spiritual, ethical, and moral development peaks before you can drive a car. Thus, why you have grown adults that have the same grasp of the Bible (their holy text) as they did as childern. That is why I feel that the "save the childern" is a farce. Because at least on a subconscious level, they are talking about themselves. Since they never got out of the world mindset they had as a kid.

Marx's father was clearly making a reference to the Greek concept of "daemon", which means something more like "genius" or "muse" or "inspiration" or "tutelary deity", not the Judeo-Christian idea of malevolent rebellious angels. This guy just wants to run with the worst possible interpretation.
This, right here. I am a Theistic Satanist and I believe in a lot of " little Gods" or spirits that we call demons or daemons. We see them as teachers, guides or helpers . Every Thiestic Satanists or Demonolatry practitioner sees the demons in different ways. It's very personal. I am also a Unitarian Universalist and believe each person has their own cannon of beliefs that is right for them. We are all connected and shouldn't worry about what others do or try to control them when it comes to spiritual matters. Wouldn't it be grand if Christians believed the same?😊

Okay. so on the topic of wet dreams I'd never in my 25 (at the time) years had a wet dream, or at least one I noticed (I feel they'd be pretty obvious.) I had my first (and so far last) one around two years ago during opiate withdrawals... and it was a nightmare. Not the part where I woke up and realized realized I'd nutted but the actual "dream" itself. It was sexual in nature but in a bad, ominous and scary way. How the hell do you have a wet nightmare? My meds lower my sex drive and despite being the type to do no nut november by accident, meaning and even planning to beat the meat more because it's good for my health and of course because it's enjoyable but constantly forget and/or get distracted almost every time so it's not like my body was "fulfilling the need for me." It's barely related to the vid but like what are the chances the one noticeable "wet dream" I've had was a nightmare? The withdrawals didn't halp but still.

The way they put such a weird emphasis on Engel's description sounds like they think he was Black Philip from the VVitch. Otherwise the next part about it being faustian or heavenly wouldn't make sense, how could a demon be heavenly? I mean... according to biblical lore demons are just fallen angels. So they would have a heavenly origin. Demons were the angels that join Lucifer in his rebellion against god, then god cast them down, these fallen angels were then called demons, and the leader of these demons is "the devil" Lucifer. But of course it all relies on the assumption that god is good, and that rebelling was bad, which is where satanic beliefs (actual Satanism) comes into play, god is viewed as a tyrant and Lucifer "Satan" as the liberator. It all just ends up sounding like a bunch of nerds arguing over fictional lore in the end IMO.

18:41 I feel like you should be able to say as an academic whether a book from 1868 is correct when it says that a historical figure sometimes acted as if they were possessed by demons. I feel like that should be a slam dunk that at best they were being metaphorical and/or misunderstanding mental health, and at worst making things up. But that's just me. I'm not a political science academic talking seriously about whether a historical political theorist may have been demonic in nature based on some colourful language in personal correspondence and a biography.
Children's book librarians always emphasize the importance of children learning to appreciate books early on as they fear that the children will not otherwise develop their imagination to the fullest. Actually having lived through the first Satanic panic I can say this. When Dr. Peterson calls something satanic he uses the word differently than the evangelicals of the 1980's did. back then they meant the phrase VERY literally. As for Peterson's use today, a lot of people tend to forget his background is in Jungian Psychology. Jung dealt a lot with Archetypes, and character studies were a part of that. One of those famously was Jung's views on Satan as an archetype. Satan as an archetype is more representative of the will towards evil and rebellion present in every person. When Jung (and by extension Peterson) calls something satanic, it's a refence towards this nature in people rather than a supernatural being.
So your telling me that Jordan Peterson himself is also a Satanist considering his own behavior so this whole painting Marx as one was entirely pointless because everyone has a rebellious streak. We wouldn't even have capitalism or any other systemic change without satanism apparently. Even if he was implying jungian archetypes the other guy definitely was not
