Twenty years after it was first opened, the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s is embarking on a new and exciting era starting with a new stunning landmark venue which will open for staff, students, and the public in early 2024.
The new venue represents the next chapter for the Centre, that will involve a Visting International Chair in Creative Writing and an outreach programme with educational and community groups.
Through this project we will create a vibrant and inclusive creative writing hub that embodies the essence and significance of Heaney’s life, work and legacy.
