Yeah mine was recalled for engine failure, probably won’t see it for 6 months. New Toyotas and Lexus are garbage, especially with how expensive they are.

-Not all cars have physical buttons for AC controls. Some cars hide the AC controls in the digital menu of the touchscreen (like Tesla) which some find annoying -not all cars have a gear shift lever. Some cars have a gear shift knob that can be mistaken for a volume knob and has been the cause of accidents by some people He never mentioned the other 3 so haha you’re so funny I guess?
With that logic, if you want a truck, why not just get a Tacoma? Some people just have big families or have kids with friends that one would want to take camping, places where minivans would struggle or just places where they'd not be optimal.
At $55k just go for the GX at that point- twin turbo V6/better engine, sound damping, better ride quality, and slightly nicer interior. Toyota is definitely blurring the lines between brands though!

Credit where credit due. I’ve been waiting for Toyota to make an actually new car for over a decade now. I’ve been so annoyed that they have just been refreshing the same tired designs from the early 2000s, technology included. Car looks sweet!
The pop open rear glass is a nice feature. My 06 Grand Cherokee had that and it is so easy when you have a bag or something small you want to toss is the back.
Not a skid plate. It’s a bash plate. Not cladding. That’s what goes on a house. It’s a wheel arch flare. And I reckon if you owned it, it would never need 4WD and the lockers would never get used.
The headlights design is a great homage to the classic 1970’s FJ40 as well with the fj cruiser but smaller enough to fit it well with the retro modern mix
