I never realized this quartet was so good. Amazing unisons, incredible consistency in production/wall of sound, and just listen to that tenor! Great stuff.

WOW! I wish I could have seen them live! I’m only 17 but I love this genre of music so much!

I can remember my father telling me about them...that he saw them at Harmony College...and I listened to "Smile." All I could visualize was Charlie Chaplain walking around in his normal gate, just after giving his last few cents to someone who needed it, then focusing on his face with a smile through the tears and pain. The song is the epitome of the ending of more than one Charlie Chaplain film. The tag of Smile was so far ahead of it's time that it's not funny...taking a Tenor post, a lead and baritone fill, added to a majestic bass solo...then turning most of it upside down...The Tenor becomes the lead, the lead becomes the Bari, and the Bari...wow...what pipes...becomes the Tenor - all done so smoothly that no one was the wiser until the tag was printed. What great sounds, what great tags, what great times!

Wow! Just discovered this vid. These guys are really very good. I love the arrangements. I would like to hear more of these chords in modern quartets. Great discovery.
