They were brave men away up there, hard to imagine now. Thankfully we have these fantastic 📷's 😃 The air was 'rent' with celebration not sure I have ever heard that phrase afore, nice one!

Great video again , thank you . Only one person died ( which is one too many ) but thankfully there wasn't anymore . When the Huddersfield canal was built 13 men died for every mile along the way . Didn't the men that built this bridge get asked to go to Australia and build a bigger bridge of the same design ? Cheers , Mark .
I came here to say exactly the same thing. I walked across it the other day and it was rusting and had graffiti all over the Gateshead side of the span. The council should hang their heads in shame.
@@Zooumberg The councils do their usual thing and blame the government for lack of funding. It is actually going to be repaired and painted now at least.
