While shooting the "Spray Paint The Walls" segment for The New York Hardcore Chronicles Film we managed to slip in 10 questions with Lord Ezec aka Danny Diablo (Skarhead / Crown Of Thornz)
I saw one of the only Icepick shows at Toads Place in New Haven CT (from there) right after they released the LP- Danny saw someone get into it with his boy in the bar and jumped off the stage over the barrier and went right up there and started a fucking MELE lmao. Handled and came right back and continued.
Early 90s were funny years in the hc thing. There was the youth crew nerds and the real hc dudes and shit ran fairly smooth up til then. 93 I go to a show and look around its its like getting bounced into the pen. Crazy 30 years later and its the same shit.
I remember hanging out with him a few times I saw him at his show last year maybe two years ago it is really cool to hang out with I've known him from back in the day SOB that guy was cool I remember when he had long hair he was always cool with me hung out with him two days before he died I heard he died I felt really sad Jim I called him Jimbo he played with Minor Threat the drummer I've known him for a long time like a brother and his other band sarcasm those were some good times
I'm a bit confused on your comment. If I understood you said something about a Jim who you called jimbo and played drums for minor threat?? Minor Threat only had one drummer and that was Jeff Nelson. There was never anyone named Jim in minor threat at all. The lineup was Ian MacKaye on vocals, Jeff Nelson on drums, Lyle Presslar on guitar and Brian Baker on bass. They stopped playing for a bit then started again and Steve Hangsen was added on bass and Brian Baker switched to second guitar. That was the entire lineup of minor threat until their breakup so I'm confused on who you're talking about named Jim or Jimbo. Maybe I misunderstood your comment, I don't know. If I did my apologies and hope you can clear this up for me even though I'm posting this two years after your comment was first posted.

@@BlackbirdSSR NO idea who trapt is but, no I didn't know danny was a liberal, its ok like me an you can discuss in a civil conversation with out freaking out an do a yelling battle. I have that experience with a lot of liberals tho it seems. just kinda find it hard to believe danny would support Biden or Clinton. I thought I could read folks, an he seems like my kinda people. So im wrong I guess but jim carrey is as soft as coco butter ya know wat I mean, still he cant play some dude like danny, cause he hasn't seem shit in his life an I feel danny has.
