Someone needs to do a video about the damage MLMs do by luring away a significant group of people from needed and respected professions (namely nursing and teaching) into these money-loss schemes. The societal cost of losing good teachers and nurses is probably hard to calculate but it's there.

You are so right! My son is a teacher, and his wife *was* a nurse. She (was fired) retired from nursing, and now does her mlm full-time. He's signed up under her, but doesn't actively shill it. Instead, she posts for him, saying things like "hey, checkout my beautiful wife! I'm so proud of her, she's slaying her business! You go babe!!" It's so cringey. I'm embarrassed to say I had to unfollow both of them on all social media. It's a plague.

@@jld4063 Yeah I agree - they are underpaid and not supported like they should be which does create this place for alternatives to seem more alluring. MLMs exploit these real issues but they aren't the answer. Same thing with MLMs exploiting the problems with US healthcare and some 9-5s genuinely being terrible.

I've noticed that the MLM queens doing videos like this always punctuate their statement with "OK." It's such a specific manner of speech that I really associate with elementary school teachers trying to explain things to kids with limited knowledge. So my question is, why do MLM babes always talk to their targets like they are children?

Why do they always make out that getting to be at home ALL the time is so amazing ?! I’m a nurse and I would go mad if I was at home all the time . Especially during all the lock downs my job kept my sanity . I need that interaction with other adults and the mental stimulation work provides . I love and adore my kids more than life itself - but I love them more when I’m not at home with them every second of every day of my life lol .

As a stay a home mom I can confirm it can be brutal. Cabin fever is real, only so many conversations you can have with a toddler before you snap. I’m overwhelmed more than I’d care to admit. I can’t even imagine trying to work another “job” with my kids beside me.

I personally like being home a lot and working from home, I don't get bored of it and I get enough contact with people through the internet, but first, I do not have kids, and second, most other people around me are not like me. My mom for example would go stir crazy. And just look at how people reacted to the pandemic lockdown.

As someone who did actually start a service business while living in my car, I assure you it had nothing to do with an MLM. And it didn't cost me anything (except the laptop I already had). And 11 years later, I'm still doing the thing (because market saturation and recruitment isn't a thing for me lol) and get to edit for some of my favorite authors. But the audacity of someone to outright say they're preying on homeless people angers me to no end. 😡

Random but when I worked in wedding photography, one of our tricks for natural candid shots was to tell them to fake laugh really obnoxiously and they’d always end up laughing for real and then we’re able to capture real emotion. Fake laughs always save the day ☺️

OMG!! I've been wanting you to do a video on VIC!! It used to be VIC Cosmetics!! I absolutely fell for it, about 2 or 3 years ago. They were a brand new MLM that promised to have a better compensation plan than any of the others. I spent roughly $600 on kits and products (the products are actually decent🙈), and then the company dropped off the face of the earth!! They closed their website, stopped replying to emails and completely closed without any notice!! Then at the beginning of this year or the end of last year, I got an email saying that they were reopening under a new name and launching a ton of new products! They invited me to rejoin and offered to send me a bunch of products for free. I took the free products but never joined again bc I was so mad that they got me for so much money and then disappeared!

CC- seriously one of the BEST videos yet… I laughed soooo hard!! I can say I’ve never had a $19 eyebrow pencil save my life… 😂As an Army Combat Vet- who now advocates for homeless vets/ female veterans in particular… i’d love to see you potentially do a deep dive into these companies and see how many are donating/ giving back to non- profit orgs( not just for minimum tax write offs). I crack up at all the “life changing” promises she was just rolling with… also I’d love for one time to see these chicks actually get on a rooftop and scream from it their news of these MLMs… here in Chicago you do that you may just get injured with all the crime. Girl keep up the excellent work- and I may have a new company for you to do a deep dive on…. And it’s definitely unnerving for the “message” it puts out there.

So with 2nd MLM she joined she joined early and that's why she had the massive downline. She also realized that this is the way to go and once that company started getting old she now joined this one early as well to make money. When you go from MLM to MLM and joined at the beginning it's because you know how the scam works. Smh.

Of all of the annoying things these mlm'mers say the, 'I started my own business' really bugs me. I make cheesecakes and other desserts for family and friends and they will recommend me to their friends. I would love to hear from actual business owners who sell the equivalent amount (i.e. 45,000 per month) and find out what kind of an establisment they have, how long it took them to build it etc. Just to get perspective to this "you can work in pockets of time" nonsense.

It’s always so weird to me when they repeat it’s so crazy this opportunity is insane! I have a lot of friends who run their own businesses and I have never heard them talk about their job like that they might say their workload is crazy because they’re constantly thinking about their business and how to stay afloat and how to promote it and grow but never oh my gosh it’s insane!!!!

I love when MLMs branch out from ONE type of product because it's the FUCKING OPPOSITE of what you're supposed to do. Trying to be for "everyone" is a huge no no in marketing. If you try to cater to everyone, you cater to no one. MLMs act like they know everything about marketing but don't know shit.
