Good to see these old Intercity 125 trains dating back from the 1970s seeing futher use overseas! These trains were once very common in the United Kingdom but have been retired or scrapped on most routes in recent years.

Beautiful content Tosin. However, the second train in the video is not what is being expected from China as announced by the Lagos State Government. Rather, it was a quiet purchase made by the state from GWR, UK. This set is known as the HST(British Rail Class 43). They will complement the Talgo trains earlier purchased. Eventually, the new China-built trains will join.

Lagos Red Line is more of an intercity rail line rather than metro. These are intercity trains so it works.
