That’s a shame, but good on you for taking one for the team! I am sure you felt good afterwards aha. Looking forward to the next video, hopefully you back in Fiji😂
Awesome Brie, employees like you are the dream for managers like me. Kudos to you for stepping up and saving a lot of people’s plans. Glad you had all of Christmas off, you certainly earned it.
Good on you for going past your duty day limits and taking one for the team. I like how you were able to negotiate to get Christmas Eve off. With my airline, we go by seniority order which they would ask the most junior person first then go up the ladder to the most senior person. I guess this was easier for you since you mentioned that you had just been to Fiji just a few days prior. Happy Flying
I’m glad someone spilled the beans to the passengers about your kind deed. Last thing you need is someone whinging at you their ice cubes are too cold or the air con is too blowy. And you’re just like “#### I could be on a beach!” 😂🥰
You're such a professional. Despite being a nervous flyer, I spent years crisscrossing Australia for my job falling in love with all these unique Australian cities featured in your vlogs. The friendly professionalism of the cabin crew always helped. Now back in my native Canada, I love the chance to revisit them again this way and hopefully in person soon. And Bali and Fiji aren't bad either! 😀All the best in 2023.
Thank you for being the good person that you are and doing the extra flight!! A lot of people can't afford to get stranded away from home so I know that you made so many happy:) Yay for getting Christmas Eve off!!
Those passengers would have been soooo grateful! Have just flown to MCY for the first time, and business class for the first time. Economy will be hard to go back to!!!
Speaks volumes when someone takes an option that disadvantages them personally but helps out everyone else. Well done! And actually you won from it anyway!
Hi Breanna happy Thursday night and happy new year to you and your loved ones and I hope that 2023 brings you a lot of love and happiness I enjoy your channel because you are amazing Supporter
Sorry you had to work the flight back but THANKS FOR BEING A HERO AND NEGOTIATING CHRISTMAS EVE OFF! Obviously it’s great you saved the flight but I’m glad you thought to make that offer. Had the best Christmas with you ❤
Ohhh montville is so cute! Braden and I went there on the way to Noosa a couple of years ago! Such a cool place! You will love Hobart, I have a Launceston layover vlog that I will be posting soon, to help you get a vibe of what Tassie is like!
Bula Brie it was the Kava that gave you the strength to do that. However you were rewarded. Fiji will return shortly for you as well as Japan later in the year. May both of you have a great new year. Philip.
Always good to get those 3 days off! Good to see you had them off too. I also had those 3 days off here in Auckland NZ. Happy new year. Keep bringing out awesome vids especially the VA ones with Layovers :)
Hi Brie!! it's a shame that you didn't get to stay this time around. I saw in your last video that you like the coconut rolls, but as a Fijian can I just say, next time you go, you haaaave to try cream buns! they are literally the best thing ever! They should also sell them in your local fijian/indian marts in melb! we have plenty in Sydney too. have a Happy New Year✨

Hi Brie Wishing you & Braeden a Happy, Exciting and Safe/Healthy 2023. Continue Success with both your Flight Attendant & RU-vid Channel. It's been a Great Pleasure being one of your Subscribers & watching the wonderful videos you put out & will continue to look forward to the ones you'll be putting out in the future. As far as a Video Suggestion- Since you travel to various cities in Australia- maybe you can comply the various sights & sounds of those cities into one complete video so we who are not from Australia can get a sense of all the Great Things that your country has to offer since we may never get there ourselves to physically Enjoy those sights and sounds. Take Care and Stay Safe/Healthy
@@BrieanaYoung Hi Brie Thanks for replying back to me. Glad that you think my suggestion is Great & will consider doing such a video in the future Take Care and Stay Safe/Healthy
Hi Brie just new to your videos. So good hey. Well informed, enjoy the conversation manner you have, its like you talk to us personally. I just realised when watching your videos how hard flight attendants work. Admire your guys. Have a good year this Brie. Thank you. Richie
Hey Medo! I talk about getting the cabin manager role and what it entails in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q76o9viIUYM.html I would love to do a more in-depth video this year as well :)
Such a generous heroic gesture Bri. If I was one of those pax I'd definitely extend my gratitude. You deserved to be rewarded with the holidays off! As for me, since just before Thanksgiving, I've been staying with my other brother in New Jersey ( this being the very town I spent many years living back in the late 70's and 80's). My nephew came down and I got to meet his adorable new four legged family member Louie. Went to a few sporting events Christmas week...basketball and ice hockey. Saw a pretty display of lights at the zoo (Bronx New York) where my nephew works. Otherwise certainly not minding the time away from the brother I usually live with in Pennsylvania...no offense to him at all.. I just get so tired of his almost daily political rantings ( fortunately I have earphones I wear during meal times to keep myself sane and filter out his blaring TV LOL) Not to mention I do not share many of his views on such matters. Ok excuse the digression there .haha Happy New Year to you!
Hi Brie, I have been enjoying watching your vlogs. They are informative and entertaining:) I am a secondary school and also want to become a flight attendant next year for a change. I wonder how far you live from the airport in Melbourne. I am in the southern east suburbs.
Definitely a kind thing to do, although you shouldn’t really be Operating flights without appropriate rest. I don’t know if your part of a union but you agreeing to operate without rest goes against everything people in the past have fought for. Seems a bit silly to put yourself through that just for a cancelled flight where passengers would have alternate arrangements made. Just another way for crewing to get their way and crew to go without.
I understand where you're coming from and I respect the importance of fair working conditions and the right to rest. In this case I felt that it was worth it for me at the time :)
Hi Brie Your company should not have asked you to Flight over your 12 hour single duty . Yes you saved your company thousands of dollars In hotel bill, but if anything happened in the cabin Or u made a mistake because of lack of rest They would have blames you . Rules are there for a reason, safety safety . U were put in a no win position
I wouldn’t of accepted to extend if I didn’t feel like I could safely operate the flight home, and I wasn’t forced to do it or anything! You are right, safety is the most important thing :)
