Great video, keeps us hooked but I can’t put up with the noise/music in the background. It’s really off putting, it’s like white noise. Please take it as constructive criticism rather than a negative. Because the filming is great and the story you tell is brilliant 👍👍👍
Exciting part of your journey with the car, I also have a 225hp Quattro which I just drove 8000klms through 12 countries in Europe (including a lap around the Nürburgring) & she’s at the stage where I’m about to start the more power & cosmetic refining process 🎉 Subscribed 😎
The challenges set out in this build is going to be phenomenal. Looking forward to seeing you grow as a fabricator, all the challenges ahead and tackling each one with purpose. Let's get this Mk1 TT Quattro Evolution build started!
My 98 225 Quattro coupe is on 160k im the 15 th owner love it smiles per gallon every time i drive her paid £1000 3years ago fun car p.s i like the background music/noise👌🇬🇧
15th owner! Wow! Can't go wrong at that price though. That's a steal! I would love to get a second one down the line. Also thank you for that comment! 😉
@@TheNeverEndingProject have only just found your channel have subbed looking forward to catching up on your videos thats alot of power you are going for i live in the uk where the speed limit is 20mph in built up area's so 225bhp is more than anoth for my girlfriend to drive to work 👌 yea its a Denim blue coupe with the early 225 Apx engine with the K04 turbo ive replaced lots of parts from audi to get her running near perfect shes driven about 30miles daily to work carefully because shes a old girl 1998 but sum times i do give it sum welly and put my foot down turbo noise is the best thing ever all the best my friend 🙋♂️🇬🇧
Like wise man! Your work and skill has always motivated and influenced my ambitions, which is also why I'm stoke to see you sharing your projects soon too!!
Working on Building my 04 Imola MK1 225 my self. I live close to FFE so I will be leaning on them when the time comes. I thought I was aiming for high hp but you’re way up there. Interested to see your drivetrain and transmission choices. I’ll be here for the ride with you!
I appreciate the support! Awesome you're so close to FFE, I'm currently running one of their manifolds! There's a lot the drivetrain will need to go through... Thankfully, a lot has to happen, especially tuning, before I reach that level, so it'll give me time to save up for said upgrades 😂😂
So you have learned by yourself all the mecanic skills ? Great ! Me too, since four years, on my 225 coupé BAM engine, that I own since … Brand new in 2001 ! Do the math ;) But Ím always in love with this car !
i have a 2004 tt 255 all black on 19inch otteinger rims very beautiful car stage 1 only. would love to build my motor and upgrade suspension and need the roof wrapped or painted. other then that i have a lot of work put into the car. going on 95k original miles very well taken care of.
@@TheNeverEndingProjectProbably make it close anyways. I know it's not a "real" quattro but these are a rush in the lower gears, so much traction even in bad weather. I gather the Veyron even uses a Haldex setup but reversed- normal rear and front assist.
It absolutely is a blast! I do fear for my gear sets with the potential of the setup, but def some time before I get to really push it! Hahaha I don't fall for the "real" quattro argument 🤣. Like I get the sentiment from people that think that, but quattro is so many different types of AWD systems under the AG banner. And like you mentioned, several top tier VAG cars run a Haldex based AWD. Sure it's old, slow to react, and outdated by today's standards, BUT, with a tune, it wakes it right up and leaves very little left to be desired! They're beasts!
Background "Music" is cringe. If you ever bored. Just look what Germans do with the R32 VR6 turbo modded. +600hp stable, with no huge invest also +1000hp
I appreciate the feedback! As far as the car is concerned, the purpose of it isn't to chase the biggest numbers or make the easiest power. I have a vr6 already and am very well aware of what they're capable of 👍🏼
@@kennethfrazee2540 DSG with better clutches is reliable. And a low tune VR6 with 450hp will perform nicer then a 1.8t. You may argue on weight distribution.
@@GunitEngage boosted vr6 would be the ultimate but so hellaciously expensive from what I've seen. I doubt they are significantly heavier though after one factors in all of the 1.8t turbo apparatus, those silly intercoolers are even heavy.
@@kennethfrazee2540 the VR6 is 100kg heavier, and turbo/intercooler added even more and the Block sits way over the Front axle and deeper from ground clearance (US Models 1.8t have even 2,5cm/1" more space since different Oilpan. Anyway just look to experience a good R32 Turbo built its awesome. In Germany a built by a shop will set you back 30k €, material and self made will be under 10k€ for +600hp very good value.
Yes, it started its life as an 180 quattro. Only the 2000 model year here in the US were 180hp, 5spd 02m quattros (it was before the 225 was released). As far as the coil packs, they're GM LS2 coil packs. The pinout is exactly the same so I just hardwired them in - the ECU doesn't know the difference!
