The Next Kirby Game Just LEAKED?!

I highly doubt this is real. It looks suspiciously like the lor starcutter, and I feel like HAL wouldn’t go for 2 companion characters in a row (the last one being Elfilin). However if it is real, good naming on Nintendo’s part; considering Polly’s simple triangle body and the tech related nature of this supposed game, her name could be derived from polygon which would be cool. Edit: yeah all 4 of those abilities sound fake; I doubt they’d go for a really simple one like the Junk ability that’s just a glorified screen wipe with 1 other feature. Rabbit is way too similar to Animal, and Ice Cream seems somewhat believable but the leaker barely provides any moveset so it’s kind of hard to believe.

My thoughts on this leak (This is coming from a person who knows a lot about Kirby.): A 2D Kirby game being the next title does not necessarily make this leak false or true. I think HAL Laboratory definitely wants to continue making both 2D and 3D Kirby games. The first image looks real, but at the same time, the Kirby render looks off. Something about the color does not match with modern Kirby renders. Like you said before with Polly's render, she has orb-shaped hands in the first image, but the next image has hands similar to various Kirby characters (Ex: Magolor, The Three Mage Sisters), which to my knowledge, I have not seen any Kirby characters with those characteristics. Characters like Poppy Bros Jr. and Burning Leo have orb-shaped hands, but renders consistently show that they have orb-shaped hands and not glove. And that her badge on her suit is not in the right position. The background of the footage may look like a spaceship, and since the game's theme is based on space it is not too surprising. However, it does bear resemblance to the Lor Starcutter in a way. What has not been answered is if the game will support Pro Controllers, too? Joy-Cons are said to be used in this game for its IR camera feature, but that raises the issue with Pro Controller support. Okay, so this is confusing, why does this game only support two player for the story mode (aka the main campaign), when ALL other MODERN console mainline 2D Kirby titles (Return to Dream Land (Deluxe) and Star Allies) were able to do it just fine? Heck, all non-NSO 2D Kirby games support 4 players. Are there going to be limitations, or something? Why limit 4 player for just the minigames (Also, minigames are not too surprising to be in this game. We have had them in every modern mainline title.)? We have getting Amiibo support for many Kirby titles every since Planet Robobot, so no surprise here, too. Those copy abilities, and one of them is fake... I am going to be real with you, the fact that not every hat design is specified makes to hard to tell if even any of them are real. I will say getting 4 new copy abilities (3 if excluding the last one since that is not a regular copy ability) is pretty normal, since the last mainline Kirby games had more than one new copy ability introduced (at least 2-4). Junk is very questionable. We have had one limited use copy ability that eventually becomes lost once it used up more and that is Mike. But the thing that bothers me is that it is a little similar to many copy abilities in the past: Ice-Ice in 64, Snow Bowl in Return to Dream Land and Needle in Forgotten Land. All of these involve collecting enemies and objects and releasing them afterwards. Now of course, similar copy ability from a previously one does not necessarily mean a crossed out potential new ability (Poison to Water.), but the fact that this will be somewhat similar to three abilities from the past makes it strange. The function also sounds terrible. Junk sounds like an ability that would be more than just a limited use copy ability. Rabbit is weird. "Kirby turns into a bleach-white bunny." So, is going to be like Animal where he wears a animal costume, or he straight up turns white and has bunny features? I do not know about this... Its ability to jump high is not really that suspicious (But Hi-Jump exists, so depending on how it is used, this is a flaw to be accounted for.) but the problem occurs with the digging part. Look, if this is a 2D Kirby game and they are going to return old copy abilities, I bet one or both of them is going to be from Forgotten Land. Even if we scratch that off there is also Animal Kirby. Why would they add another copy ability with digging abilities? Carrots are carrots, so I guess that is cool. Ice Cream Kirby. Okay, wow, this might be the fake one. First of all, the name. ICE Cream Kirby. Do we really think that HAL is going to replace or make another Ice related ability? Even if this were to happen Ice Cream not being apart of theme of space does not cross it off to be a potential new copy ability (Also Rabbit. It's like kind of like a situation with ESP in Planet Robobot.). The only way I can see this being true is if HAL were to make a new set of abilities without returning ones, but this has never happened in any Kirby games so far, so I doubt this will be the case. In fact, in sounds more like an Ice ability evolution. I do not think Ice Cream and Ice Kirby can coexist together in game (Especially since two similar copy abilities are not in any modern Kirby games since Adventure/Nightmare in Dreamland.) Not to mention there is already a Kirby ability with an ice cream hat, Snow Bowl. Also, the screen nuke just does not sound right, because screen nuke abilities always kills enemies. The brain freeze move would most likely just freeze enemies and even though that is killing enemies, you will not really get to utilize kicking frozen enemies. And because it would most likely freeze enemies, a question I would like to ask is "Why don't you just add Ice Kirby?" The hat is not specified, but only states it is the giant cone, and I do not think it is a scoop of ice cream, because Kirby is going to get scoops of ice cream from his moveset. The ice cream scoops are also never specified to do anything other than being used for a screen nuke. The description for Cosmic Kirby is just so bad. "Kirby becomes reflective of space." Like what you said, it is too similar to another character, which is Shadow Kirby. This is such a glaring flaw to this leak, because there is no way Kirby is going to look similar to an existing character. A similar idea to Hypernova does not necessarily make this idea not impossible, but I do not think HAL is going to make a remotely similar gimmick from a previous Kirby game, since gimmicks from modern titles have been distinguishable from each other. Also, it states it is going to be in a 3D environment. I mean mixing 2D and 3D environments were a thing in a previous Kirby game (Void Termina fight in Kirby Star Allies. Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot are 2.5D, not necessarily 3D.), and it does not seem impossible, but the question is how is it going to work? Overall, all these copy abilities seem fake, because of the similarities to previously existing copy abilities (Again, it does not cross it off as potential new ability, but it definitely does not work for Rabbit and Ice Cream.) their looks (for Ice Cream only), and vague descriptions that do not clear up how it works (also Ice Cream). There are so many glaring flaws to this leak, and I believe it to be fake.

I'm not all that convinced. Hal never really re-treads ground, especially with gimmicks. That cosmic kirby is way too similar to hypernova for me to think Hal would do it

I feel like the same people who made the "Kirby Star Knights" fake leak years ago might be behind this one too, there's just something off about these pictures, Kirby's render looks like something from the promotional 3D renders from the 20th anniversary, not like the ones we have been getting recently

So this new Kirby game Kirby and the Celestial Stars could be fake because of the render for Kirby, the AI images, and the new Kirby character could be all fake. Because I do like the new copy abilities which are Junk, Rabbit, Ice Cream, and Cosmic all sound really cool and it would be cool to see these new copy abilities be in an actual Kirby game. And the new female Kirby Character Polly I feel like she's a different version of Susie or she's kinda related to Susie or if she's sisters with Susie or something but I feel bad for what the internet is gonna do to this new female Kirby Character Polly but it would be cool to see this new female Kirby Character be in a new Kirby game. But I hope HAL does give us something for us Kirby Fans for Switch and Switch 2 like would be cool to see full-on remakes of Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby Planet Robobot as well as new side story modes for both Taranza and Susie for Switch 1 and for Switch 2 we could get a sequel for Kirby and the Forgotten Land and maybe they can show us this new female Kirby Character Polly in the sequel for Kirby and the Forgotten Land or a new Kirby game but we'll see.

I'm actually suprized that we haven't gotten a new Kirby game teased this year and I've been waiting for one for a long time. Maybe this is real maybe not, but I do agree with what some people are saying about Polly that she could be a reskin mod of Magolor from Return to Dreamland Deluxe. But if this is real then everyone should be hyped!

I don’t buy it, but I’m a hardcore skeptic with leaks. That said, like… rabbits make their homes underground. And even if we ignore real life rabbit habits… bro, you ever see a single Bugs Bunny cartoon? They like, ALL start with him digging a tunnel to go somewhere, winding up in the wrong place, and messing with someone that upset him. Or the Pokémon Diggersby… who digs. Basically, I don’t believe it, but rabbits have plenty of association with digging.

That's definitely a fake leak alright. That person just combined all that fake information from previous other Kirby games that were release during the early in mind 2010's. Best guess we won't be hearing about a new 3D Kirby game until sometime later next year, but even so it won't release until 2026.
