Thank you, can the developers calibrate the MELE issues that modders have solved with their various Community Patches and other bits like restoring bugged content? I will be honest, I have done more than 5 runs with ME3LE while in the original ME3 I only finished it once.
For those curious, it was just the War of the Worlds / Apollo audio used at the start of the trailer. Likely a copyright issue. I checked the trailer against the previous one for differences using editing software and they are otherwise identical.
They better not play with our hearts like this, or I'm done. This is their last chance with me. Andromeda wasn't bad but it was painfully average at best. Just wasn't the same without the OG Normandy crew and Shepard.
@@roguesquadron521 What most people don't understand here is that it intentionally shows both mw and andromeda for a reason. Michael Gamble said it. That means both galaxies will connect. Who knows though, it could be something entirely different like a new pc while keeping some elements from the trailer. People should keep low expectations and not jump into conclusions until more is being shown.
@N7 I hardly believe that. I think they need to canonize one particular ending. looking at the destroyed mass relays it seems to be the destruction ending in one of its worse forms
Mass effect will never be the same. Old Bioware developers are working on EXODUS game in Archetype Entertainment including Drue Karpyshin, James Ohlen and Chad Robertson
It's going to be incredibly difficult for them to nail this, but if they pull it off and the Fanbase doesn't hate it for some minor reason, I do believe this could be great. It's such an amazing franchise that does deserve to be continued.
@@tobiashahn9365 in terms of gameplay I don’t think they need to change much from ME3 or MEA tbh, Maybe a few tweaks here and there. I think they can really focus on the story with that in mind.
@@bradleyfleenor2347 I think so too, MEA pretty much nailed it, as it was both for quick action players and cover shooter veterans (me). But they will need to appease both fans of the original trilogy and MEA, and ALSO somehow get past the ending controversy. I still have high hopes tho, it's good that they set themselves such an ambitious goal.

I just beat Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 for the first time. Even though this trailer is two years old now, I’m sure it STILL gives everyone goosebumps like it did for me just now!
Honestly, It's a testament to this series that new people are playing it and enjoying to this day. I first played it recently myself. (I say recently, but it was before legendary edition). Hope ME4 turns out well.

well it might be a while yet before the next game comes out Dragon Age 4 is up first and will basically be the litmus test to see how bioware are going to be doing things going forward

@@DEADtoRISE08 Same. I first played Mass Effect starting with ME2 in 2012 or earlier. I then played ME3. I never played ME1 entirely until Legendary Edition. We're both OG fans 🤙
After seeing Liara in the trailer, I think I narrowed down the time period in Mass Effect 4 to be between a month or several centuries after Mass Effect 3.
Other questions would include: What happens in that time frame if the Quarians or the Geth aren't around? How has the decision to cure the Genophage gone? How the fuck does synthesis work again? and so on... These all have huge implications which make me very skeptical about the quality of the story...
It most likely will. New Mass Effect entry and legendary edition announced together? Definitely not a coincidence. Only thing is don't expect the new Mass Effect for a while (3-4 years at best).
It's been 2.5 years and this trailer still manages to send chills down my spine. It feels weird to say but can't wait to get another one whenever it may come out!
@@jakomioftherose2434 sadly that's exactly what's going to happen, if we even get another mass effect, that is. The entire team that worked on the original trilogy has long since left bioware, and to me it seems this teaser was made only to boost sales of legendary edition.

I tried then i got struck in the wall 4 times in a row. Movement is one of those things you don't really think about but add a ton to a gameplay experience
@@ImperialFool I'm very excited to see of all 3 of the titles, 1 the most. Because its the game that needed the most touch up given its 2.5 nature. It would jerk foward when running and couldn't ever hit a 30FPS framerate like its more graphically impressive followups. That being said, seeing the DLC's I still had not bought when my 360 died like the party? one I've heard so much about be in this package makes it an easy win.
A stroke of genius, isn't it? Launch the Legendary Edition, with all the games from that beautiful trilogy remastered and with all the DLCs. And on top of that free to play in Xbox Game Pass. You've managed to attract new fans like me and revive old ones, all in preparation for a game that must return to its origins after going to another Galaxy. I can only hope that this game, as well as the next Dragon Age, live up to expectations. After turbulent years, it's what BioWare needs. In fact, many game companies are in need of making their consumers smile again.
i really hope the next Mass Effect actually feels like Mass Effect. i really like how consistent the trilogy is with things like artstyle, but Andromeda felt like a generic sci-fi game
@@usernamesmeh4757 that's what im saying. i remember playing it and enjoying it years ago, but when i tried revisiting it, i thought it was terrible. i think it was because the 2nd time around i was expecting a continuation of the Mass Effect series, rather than just a sci fi game
It's a fantastic concept, amazing combat, interesting story. Total garbage of a game. I can't finish it I just really don't like it. The PC mods fix the facial animations, textures etc. I am extremely pissed off how Bioware completely abandoned the game and I paid for the digital deluxe edition which was like 90 bucks.
Tali hits the spot for me personally. Felt like Liara grew a little too cold and distant after ME1. Still a great character in the sphere of gaming though
@James Johnson Just from a profit stand point bringing back shepard or at least picking up where it's story left off is the only way for this franchise to make money. Regardless of how it ended. Let's just hope we won't get another sjw garbage game that's made by intern paid on rice seeds.

@James Johnson by the dead reapers I’m going with they somehow won. It’s just that large gap of how they all ended up dead. As she’s climbing the dead reaper the one in the background is still standing up but “dead.” I’m excited to see where it’ll go.
No other series has affected me as much as Mass Effect. Just seeing this trailer and thinking of my Commander Shephard had me in tears! I can't wait to see what's in store for us next! ❤
Nothing ever compared to that hollow feeling you get after finishing Mass Effect. That confusion you get when you chill on your own just days after finishing the game, reminiscing all the moment in the game like it truly happened in real life. I never feel so compelled and committed to a game like I have with Mass Effect. I got teary eyes seeing this trailer. I love Mass Effect, period, like for life.
YES!!! To all of this. I played the games through once and had to walk away for four years because it was an absolute life changing "experience". Seriously I couldn't even in my headcanon give myself a time travel excuse to go back and play until this year because all the loss and all the struggle was still too fresh. The game is THAT good. Also, anyone watch the various cinematics and think to themselves, "They got my hair wrong.. Or, seriosuly who cast this thing, I wasn't a guy! Who made this revisionist documentary???" ....then catch themselves :)
Same. Only other game that made me feel this way was The Witcher 3. I'm going to need to take some time off before I do a female Shepard playthrough. I know I wouldn't change a single thing I did on a male Shepard replay.
For the Love of God...take your time. I don't want flashy graphics, I just want a fantastic and long storyline that would make anyone invested. Enough that when we see that N7 as we play we can do the same smile Liara has. And fall back in love with the series.
Well sorry to punch you in the jaw but rumor has it the new mass effect will have stuff from Andromeda and ME3 and being Andromeda is over 600 years of the future everyone we’ve cared about is dead not to mention a statement from one of biowares lead developers was quoted as saying “shepherd will have 0 to do in the next ME” in so many ways
This basically confirms the Perfect Destroy ending is canon. Shepherd is confirmed to be alive in the second teaser, which disregards completely the Control and Refusal endings. And Liara doesn't look synthetic.
I just finished Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and I was so emotional during the end. This was my first time experiencing the Mass Effect trilogy and I have never been more invested and attached to fictional characters and a fictional "world" in my life. I had to come watch this teaser to remind myself that there's still more to come. I am now a true Mass Effect fan and can't wait to see what's in store for us.
@@briankern9687 I actually just started it. I'm not usually swayed by opinion until I experience it myself. So far, I'm thinking it's not so bad! There are a few bugs, but I'm still intrigued by the story, and the combat is a lot more fluid than in the original games for sure.

@@gillessadeler Part of the reason why it didn`t perform as good was because of the people`s expectations, they were expecting something golden because of the trilogy, anything less will disappoint. TBH I liked Andromeda, the gameplay is 100% better than the first ones for sure ,from skills to animations....The story is not the best but it still reminded me of mass effect 1.... except instead of you playing and experiencing the world building, in andromeda you are involved in the world building. If EA didn`t instantly pull the plug and gave bioware a chance to fix it and deliver its DLC the game would have been alot better.
people are bump. they complaines about elevator seen. but it was a genius idea. it meant ro replace loading screens! I always like the crew dialogue in elevator, it was so interesting, I often took elevators to hear their dialogue.
@@a.a.9028 agreed, but as much as I miss them they make no sense anymore. granted in context of a technologically advanced future it made no sense slow elevators, but they had charm. given current hardware (NVME SSD) there should also be no need for them. what i want is a return to the innovative thinking that saw them implement those instead of static loading screens. innovation is all but dead in the world of triple A, 3 to 5 platform mandated game development.
@@Oliver-uh5ze I picked the destroy endding and got the endding where shepard survived. And I think that is from where they continue from. I got a theory that since Liara is the default love interest she maybe in the place of who your romantic partner was in the previous game... Hopefully... I'll kinda be sad if this game is hundreds ofyear after the events of the previous game and all other characters are gone.

4 years later this trailer still gives me chills !!! so well made, you can tell this alone was made with care and love so i cant even imagine what the final game could look like, I'm super looking forward to it !!
I believe one of the actual main reasons Mass Effect: Legendary edition exists (apart from giving us updated versions of three of the greatest SF RPGs of all time) is to give us a save game for Mass Effect 4.
Hopefully! I'd be disappointed if the ending I chose (Synthesis) was made pointless--it would suck if everyone that didn't get the perfect ending were punished.

Just finished Legendary Edition on PS5. I haven't had the pleasure of playing this iconic game before, although I remember the hype among my peers when I was a teenager. Today I am a mature player and traveling through the vastness of space together with a select company of heroes, exploring all the secrets of each part of Mass Effect was an epic experience for me. Great game, one of the best I've ever played. This trailer gives hope for a return to those wonderful moments. I keep my fingers crossed for the creators and for us, fans of this legendary series of games.
...Who survived 3's end because destroy the Reapers is definitely the canonical ending because in the other ones he is seen with indoctrinated eyes meaning he got duped and killed and game over but no destroy the Reapers is canon and he is last seen inhaling under a shitload of rubble yay more Shepard gimme gimme gimme gimme.
Maybe it's many years later than ME3 but hope not. If it's Liara flashback when she found piece of N7 so for what/why this "team" standding near ship. It is not important right now when we have her flashback... Also for me it's must be body of Shepard who else? (ofc now you would say ME:A Alec Ryder he just sent few mails with Liara he is no one for her even US) so it's must be Shepard!!! Also in Andromeda we dont have any reapers and Liara walks on the dead reaper and in same moment in background is another reaper so for me is still MAIN ME with Shepard not ME:A or Mix two games. And I hope they wont mix this two games ME and ME:A because whole universe/cosmos (mean ME:A threats) need Shepard began to fight for all the species. So Liara for "many hundreds" or better say X years try find Shepard body. This is only one reason for me if they want mix this two games. If not leave ME:A or do in one time two separate games and premier ME:A2 one year after ME:4. BRING BACK SHEPARD, LIARA, GARRUS, AND OLD TEAM! & ARIA! :)
I think they'll rather take the "Good" Destroy High War Asset Ending as basis, since the 2 games will not have the same engine (UE3 vs the crappy Frosbyte)
@N7 I think one of the endings will be canon. It would be interesting if they could integrate your choice but it might alter the main story for this one too much to be feasible, so I wouldn't get my hopes up.
This game is not just a game for me, maybe it is for the developers and people at bioware, definitely for ea but not for me. Stories have power. Since the beggining of humanity we tell stories, they make us feel good and bad and all sorts of feelings. They change our thoughts, even shape our personality. And for me Shepard's story is special. In the worst times of my life her strenght, her determination, her hope pulled me out of my darkness, still does. Maybe it's silly, I don't know but whenever I feel overwhelmed, depressed or exhausted, I think of Shepard and tell myself, she shouldered the weight of the galaxy, fought like hell to give them a chance to survive. Compared to that what you're going through is nothing, get it together. It helps. So bioware, devs, I thank you for telling me her story and letting me turn it into my story. I don't know where you'll go with this next game. Whatever you do will never effect my view on the original trilogy, that was, maybe I'm exaggerating but, a life changing experience. But I would never say no to living another experience like that. I know you're good story tellers, you must be doing this with passion, not only because it's your job or for the money, look at the universe you created and the stories you told in it. You have the power to touch people's lives. Please use this power wisely.

ME1-2 it has been either default charakter John Shepard or create new Id, choose female option and then listen to boring Jennifer Hale who is in basically every videogame and sounds like a 40 year old smoker. Also she doesent even have a first name. Maybe until ME3, not sure. But yeah she doesent fit into the role built around John at all. And these women-hero stories are also pure fiction and fantasy.

I really hope that we can play as commander Shepard one more time and continue the journey with all of the previous and new additional crew members. I also love ME Andromeda and hope that it will also continue as a spin-off in a future but Commander Shepard, N7, Normandy, it's crew member, and the original Mass Effect trilogy as a whole is and always have a special place in my heart.
There are aging lines in the face of liara. And asari live up to one thousand years. So, there is the likely possibility that shepard is already dead of natural causes.
There is a high chance, that the main character will be a woman/or gay Shepard. Well, maybe BioWare learned its lessons after Andromeda (made by Chinese students on part-time, obviously not BioWare) and Theeeeeeeeee Annnnnnntheeeeemmm.
@@vladyslavserdiuk2893 They will leave the choice of sex and sexuality to the player. Still, knowing bioware, there will be at least one romanceable gay character, and one lesbian character for sure.
Given the string of failures Bioware has had in more recent years, this may well be a Hail Mary pass to keep the company alive. This might be a good thing though, if alot is at stake, than Bioware won't half ass it. We will see.
@@stardaedao8541 Bioware has always leaned left with their politics. They are Canadian, so go figure. It never really bothered me, so long as they managed to deliver a compelling story. Alot of the old talent is gone though, so that is a valid concern. I understand that Casey Hudson nor Drew Karpyshyn will be working on this project.
I hope so much that we see Shepard again. The little N7 here seems to suggest we may, and given that the Destroy ending is seemingly considered canon by Bioware and when done right has Shepard survive, it seems entirely plausable. I know some people want to see Shepard's story end and focus on somebody else, but nah, I want more Shepard.
Thus might take place between 2 and 3 because the planet reminds me of the original Normandy crash site and Liara said in me2 dlc helped get sheps body she even has part of their armor
I honestly don't care if the ME4's graphics won't be the most advanced looking. I just want excellent story, characters and world. You did an amazing job with the trilogy and I can only hope you'd be able to keep up or surpass it in terms of story telling.
Idc about most of the stuff. I just want to see Shepard alive or at least a very good continuation of the game with a good story. I am the minority who doesn't care about who the main character is...well that's maybe not true, I would be happier if it was Shepard but I am not going to cry if it's anybody else (of course they have to be a good, interesting protagonist) I just want a sequel. (Yes I am a monster who liked Andromeda.) With good gameplay and a good story.
You can always count on an amazing story when it comes to mass effect. I doubt it will change this time, also I’ve heard rumors that they may be using unreal engine 5 for ME4
@@avatareo3780 yeah they are using unreal engine 5 for next mass effect but currently they are fully focused on dragon age 4 which they are making with frostbite engine.
Bout to say all the people who worked on the trilogy save one i think are all either dead or gone unfortunately and unless they got some talent in there since the last one came out i wouldnt expect much
Had tears rolling down my cheeks too! Played every game of this series as I was 13 to 18 years old & now I searched the "perfect ending" on RU-vid & it lead me to this teaser I completely missed out. I just hope Shepherd lifes and the game will be good!
@@bc4life862 Shepard is dead. that is his armor. and the asari i think it's liara? or one of the other asari that knew him, we know joker survived with edi and im sure others survived. i think this will be a correct sequel, not the shit show that was andromeda , i fucking hated that game, i really tried to like it. but this is golden. i think the problem with Andromeda was, they went to far into the future, a new galaxy , new characters, we weren't ready to move on from the others yet, i mean if they would'nt of did the Normandy surviving ending with joker ending and just said everyone died, maybe they could of made andromeda work better but. we needed a 4th and this seems to be the beginning of a great new trilogy of the sheppard era and his peers of a story line, but i think he's gone for sure.

No. The single most terrifying sound was in late 2007, when I first played the very first Mass Effect game. I was exploring some uncharted world, I got out to check a distress beacon, then a Thrasher Maw appeared out of nowhere. The single most terrifying sound and scene I have ever experienced in a video game.
Yeah I was really desperate to see shitty writers butcher my favourite characters and puppeteer the corpse of one of the better pieces of sci fit media until it's unrecognisable as something worth a shit.
It's been almost two years since this trailer came out. I watched it about 100 times and still get shivers when the beat drops and we see Liara. Take your time Bioware, and make sure this game will be as good as it can be.
I just finished a replay of the Trilogy, probably gonna go back through with new class/character. This world is amazing, and like the trailer says needs to continue.

It's been like 10 years from the original ME 3 so I'd say they have taken plenty of time already... Well, still better than gta 6 that didn't even release a trailer after all this time. Games take forever to come out these days it's impossible to play a series like back in the days cause by the time a new installment comes out you're old and with other bs to do than playing videogames. Like I cannot afford buying a ps5 cause I have other projects coming up with my life atm so if this and gta 6 will be ps5 only games (and they most certainly will be) I won't buy them.
4 things I want to see in the next game: - Shepard meets Garrus at the bar - Tali’s house - My blue children - EDI rebuild & reunite with Joker cuz my bro deserves happiness too (for destroy ending)
Would be nice indeed. Especially to see tali in her new home with my Shepperd seeing her with a child that looks almost like me. Having something to protect that you treasure is a great motivator to say, you may have an army but clearly you have not fought a Sheppard. Lol
Finished the trilogy last night and now I want more SO badly. I would die to see Tali's reaction to the news that Shepard is still alive somehow (if he is, god, I hope he is...). I just want them to be happy together dammit! Shepard's earned it and then some. He's a true legend. An absolute beast. I'm stoked for a new game in the franchise, it's become one of my all time favorite game series. I love the characters in these games more than any others.
At first when I kept hearing the word “Contact” I thought it would be a prequel about the First Contact War. But then....I recognize those freckles anywhere!!
