I did technically skip the ad but only because I was looking up their products in the middle of the ad, and by the time I switched back to the RU-vid app, the app reset, which is why I deliberately searched for this ad to finish watching it.

I was in a rabbit hole about natural disasters and now I’m in a rabbit hole about sustainable cashmere. That’s a good commercial!

I hate to have to tell you this but you've got it backwards. You should skip the ads that you DO like and let the ads you DO NOT like play all the way through. By skipping the ads you hate you make them NOT have to pay. This ad is clever and that's why you should skip it when you see it.

@@savithrivenugopal Here's the facts. RU-vid charges the advertiser the most for advertisements that people DON'T skip. The longer the unskipped ad, the more the advertiser has to pay RU-vid (who in turn pays the content creator you came to watch). So by skipping the ads you don't like you are effectively rewarding the advertiser who deliberately made a bad ad by saving them money. By playing through the ads you DO like you are punishing the advertiser that made the good ad by making them have to pay the full amount. Knowing this, then a better practice would be: when you see a bad advertisement, mute the tab that it's playing on, open a new tab, and then copy and past the address from the muted tab into the new tab. This way, you get to watch the content you came for and the content creator gets paid and you still punish the makers of the bad advertisement.

The reason is that skipping the ads makes them not have to pay as much. Whereas if you let it play all the way through, and give it a click at the end the advertiser has to pay the most to RU-vid.

No matter how nice this video may be, normally, these businesses slaughter or send them to slaughter when they are no longer USEful or profitable.

this is a good cause and all, but you could also save your money you don't have to spend everything. but still very good cause and everyone who is looking for a sweater should buy on.
