I really like Gallardo as well, but when Leeds was interest in him, English seemed to be an issue and we notoriously carry a “English speaking” requirement for the role so I don’t believe it could happen, unfortunately.

Löw is a real possibility in my opinion as a german. Looks like he wont manage a club anymore and the only job he could take would be a country that isnt at the absolute top but also isnt to small for his stature. So i actually think if the people in charge would be willing to hire him its a real possibility that he would say yes

If Crocker wants to get fired after the WC he'll hire Cherundolo. He made the MLS mistake once i doubt he does it again.

That’s fair, Sampaoli is probably unrealistic and there’s some valid concerns about Hugo Perez. I wonder if USSF will even consider Christiansen, from what I’ve seen we’ve been the only ones to mention him.

You find it attractive because of an ignorant bias for this team and because you think there is nothing else better than living in the states!?! So everything I said is spot fucking on except for the assumption that France would want to get rid of Deschamp. My bad guy! I will do better to concern myself with the French national team despite not at all liking them!

It is a video based on hypotheticals and we clearly stated that the top 2 options were pretty unrealistic, there’s not a point to get this mad over it. The USMNT job is more attractive than you think, it’s not a highly taxing position, there’s almost zero expectations for the team thanks to Berhalter, the player pool isn’t elite but is good enough to make a run with the right manager, and we have a home World Cup in 2 years. The most attractive thing perhaps is that the new manager wouldn’t even have to live in the US or stick around for the long haul, this is a 2 year job. In the hypothetical Zidane scenario, he could manage the USA through the 2026 World Cup and then go to France for the next cycle. Saying we have an ignorant bias towards the team when we’ve probably been the only creators to heavily criticize the players is ignorant in itself. Take a chill pill and have a good day!

And if you are that ignorant to think this is a possibility, you have forfeited your legitimacy to say anything relevant about the subject whatsoever. The best hypothetical for a foreign coach would be Thierry Henry! He will be available in a matter of weeks after the Olympics and with the news Deschamp is staying, I doubt he wants to stay in the U23 after the Olympics. He was an assistant for Belgium and is wanting to coach. Having been under some of the best managers of all times, the coach we need to find is the next great coach and not a current great coach. Henry potentially satisfies those requirements and a few million per year would be sufficient to get his services (hypothetically).

He needs more experience, hasn’t even managed a team as the lead boss yet
