@@marcvslicinivscrassvs7536 Some kids make sure late, he was a three star that was 163 pounds. Sometimes it’s hard to get idea part of what makes sauce so great is his attitude. And that doesn’t necessarily come through when watching film
Also... Sauce's wingspan makes him that much more confident. The proportions this guy has... He's definitely a prototype that lived up to his potential with film and practice. He didn't just rest on his athletic ability and I respect that. He must practice like one of the most motivated walk-ons or free agents, ever.
All reports said, every single day Sauce was the first one on the field during training camp. Every. Single. Day. His trajectory is unbelievable, if he keeps working his name will be up there with the greatest corners to ever play the game. As Brett said, the #4 pick was definitely not high enough. He would be smashing expectations even if he were the #1 overall pick.
He's given quinnen Williams the highest praise possible since he did the draft coverage on him, but I'm glad we finally get a positive video about one of our players
His IQ is off the charts and the play he got beat says a lot Brett was right they don't run a go route out of that formation and Sauce even said he wasn't expecting the go because they don't usually run it out of that formation
Sauce is proving he was by far the best corner in his draft class and only Tariq Woolen could truly be his competition for DROY. His confidence is something only the Hall of Fame corners have had like Deion Sanders, but he's been more than able to prove it this season. Also, him wearing the Cheese Head walking off Lambeau Field after beating the Packers is why you have to love the guy.
@Larry James Last I checked im pretty sure Woolen has allowed a single TD this season and it was against the Cards last week. He was a major reason the Hawks held D Hop to 4 Catches for 36 yards last week (And for reference no Woolen wasnt on him when he scored the TD)
@@PsychoWarper I mean Sauce has been lockdown as well against his assignments be it man or zone. As well as being a presence against runs outside where he is showing physicality as a tackler. That versatility is definitely worth a high first round pick.
I knew when I first saw his tape in college that he was gonna be good in the pros, but holy shit, what we're seeing from Sauce right now is a potential first ballot Hall of Fame corner back in the making. Being this amazing this early in your career is usually a good sign that you're gonna become a future legend.
I would love an in depth analysis of PS2’s play so far… so much respect from different people in and around the league, but you don’t hear much about him week to week because of how little quarterbacks throw his way
So proud of my team. They are finally back being a respectable defense. Now Zach just needs to live up to his potential. Rest up this bye week, Jets, you deserve it. ✈️☝🏿
I knew sauce was going to be looking like Revis in 3 years. Had no idea this kid would be pretty close 4 games into the season. This kid is going to be something very special
As a Seahawks fan that’s how I felt about Tariq woolen coming out of the draft. I figured he’d be a stud by year 3, had no idea he would be this good so quickly.
@@spendsshanks6050 I mean to be fair, all sauce has to do is keep up this level of production for a few seasons and he’ll be there. He doesn’t even need to improve, though I have a feeling he will. As an eagles fan, its so much fun to watch sauce and this jets defense. If the Jets can get breece hall back fully healthy next year and get the offense going (mainly the passing game needs work), the Jets could be a genuine contender very soon.
Have to hand it to you, Brett, your video thumbnails have improved so much and only make me more excited to watch your videos, huge respect man. Content on point as always!
Great video. Very informative. And a lot of people probably already know the quickest way to have a great defense is to have an elite CB and a game wrecker on the DL. With that being said I hope you do Quinnen williams next.
I had been waiting for this video for a week since you released the thumbnail and it did not disappoint, not used to positive videos about the Jets, Thanks Brett!!
@Larry James he doesn’t even trash talk that much he’s more of just a goofball, he seems to be a god fearing man, so I’m sure opponents rarely hear him talk to them on the field
@@david-468 nah dude, he trash talks on the field a ton, and it really pissed off Jamarr Chase. Lol the cheesehead thing wasn't in bad faith tho, that was him being goofy.
FINALLY! *THE ROCK VOICE* Its been way too long since Brett made an NFL Cornerback video in a long time. I think the only one I saw was the Ramsey vs Hopkins and Lattimore Video.
Hey Brett, just wanted to say that the production this season from the channel has been top tier. It’s easy to tell how much you and the team put into each of these videos. Keep up the good work, and thanks for everything you do!
Hope you can do some comparisons on the db class as a whole. Woolen, sauce, elam, brisker, stingley, and more guys look like they came inntge league and just automatically adjusted like we see the wr classes doing.
You telling me that the guy that goes by the nickname "Sauce", that showed up to the draft wearing a chain with that nickname on it that said at the draft that he was the best player in the draft has a lot of confidence?
i freaking love Sauce Gardner and I’m a Giants fan. unless he does something next year vs the Giants to make me hate him or if on the 1000 to 1 chance we play them in the Super Bowl, I might have to get a jersey.
While I'm pretty hype on the potential of Travon Walker, as a Jags fan, seeing all the things Sauce is doing this year? Man, I really wish we'd gone with him. Campbell and Gardner as a pair of true, lockdown shutdown corners would be *fun as hell* to watch every Sunday. It reminds me of how much fun Ramsey and Bouye were to watch back in 2017. Happy for Jets fans though, they deserve some good times. And by God, Sauce is good times
Sauce has been great, did not expect him to have such an impact right away. He does get away with a lot of holding calls in my opinion but still locking people down.
I told everyone who would listen that this guy was absolutely gonna be special. Just too fast, too long, too quick, and with some of the best hips I've ever seen in a DB. He's just unaccountably blessed and has the dedication to match, not surprised at all by how he's performed.
If I remember right I think Brett said sauce was going to be one of the best corners to come out of the draft. If sauce doesn't win ROTY I'll be throwing stuff through windows.
It's cool how I've no idea about all the nuances he employs, but just by looking and watching him play you can tell he's fucking elite. It just looks different.
Dude, as a long time jets fan it is so sick to see channels like this make videos of our players 😅 so thank you for that! sauce is the real deal! I love everything you pointed out, but his “punch” at the catch point is like other worldly lol. In the packers game I think he had 3 or 4 of them in a quarter. It’s so awesome to see this team finally have young talent that’s recognized by the rest of the league! Thanks again man, loved the video!
This video garbage he throws some googled stats together into a video should just do highlights, like he watches more film than sauce lol he is simply the best athlete on the field playing the hardest position and baits routes cause he knows what he can do, like when he was saying he saw mac nod to his receiver he failed to mention before mac even looked that way sauce backed up an extra 3 yards then mac checked, he baited him to do it he didnt read it, he actually called the play hisself pretty much hes just on a different level than everyone best athlete on the field anytime he is there playing the hardest position makin it look easy, watching film cant teach you to be an athlete im sure he watches but theres only so many routes offense can run out of formations, so he knows where he has to be. Hes not sitting there thinking oh yeah they usually run a go route in this formation, its football iq, something all 600k of guys fail to possess i guess
Go watch the last play vs Denver and tell me it wasn’t PI when he was on Sutton twice in 1 play the last one and come back. Fr watch the replay. Last play.
I have a few friends that are Lions fans, and I was trying to tell them that Sauce should've been the pick at 2. I knew from UC he'd be good, but for him to be this good this early is insane.
I think Jets were the better situation overall. Their front 4 along with Quinnen's growth as a premiere game breaker talent makes it easier for Sauce to do work. Lions D-line needed more talent overall to make opponents pass against them so their secondary can do work.
At 1:19 the guy is running sideways and is step-for-step with a receiver running full speed. That's natural ability but also a *ton* of hip fluidity training. It shouldn't be possible against NFL competition.
I wanted my lions to get him in the draft as well as Kenneth Walker and Tariq Woolen. Our secondary would be set rn and our rushing attack would be even better. We would have just needed to draft Will Anderson in this draft and we would have a pretty good defense.
@@Chrisd0ntmiss swift is good but never healthy and Jamal would just be the backup and okudah would probably be our slot corner or maybe we would have put Tariq at safety since he is 6’4
@@Just_Lionz I’m not saying he is a slot specialist. But if we got Gardner and Woolen he would be a slot since the others are boundary corners and he isn’t as fast but more agile and a good tackler just like a slot. Or maybe he’d play safety or a depth corner.
Lions rush attack is actually pretty good (helps they have a great rushing O-line when healthy overall). Better RBs can help but they got so much more holes to fill. Great RB talents can be had every year as well in the 2nd/3rd days of the draft. Woolen is balling this year in part due to Pete and his staff coaching him and the rest of the defense up. I think Aaron Glenn has to do much more for his secondary to do their job without much talent in the D-line and being so squishy against the run themselves.
Remember when you did the Kuechly video and had to put the Bobby Wagner disclaimer in there? Well, it's my pleasure to inform you that it's now Washington state law that whenever a young corner is mentioned, all Seahawks fans must bring up Tariq Woolen. So, without further ado, yeah Sauce is good, but what about Tariq Woolen?
on draft day, i was really hoping gardner fell to my seahawks. we got cross, which i was happy with at the time. I was genuinely shocked when stingley got taken b4 him.
