Now let's look at the Nickelodeon trilogy of crossover party games that used to be playable on their website. These ones are pretty neat! My Twitter: / lucililium
I absolutely love the first Block Party game as a kid. I remember having so much fun with this game and when i revisited it a few years back before flash shut down and it still held up.
I remember in 2014 when they updated the game to feature Sam & Cat and Cat. They originally were there but their addition definetly made the game slightly more interesting
I should clarify that I am familiar with the show Planet Sheen was a spinoff of. I've even made a few videos covering it. Me not knowing what show he's from has been a slight running joke on this account since I usually have to credit him as "Sheen from Planet Sheen" in these 2010s Nickelodeon games. But I used to watch his original show all the time so I remember it quite well. He was a great character in Fairly Oddpare
The first block party is better than some of the modern mario party games! Thank you so much for covering it. Indeed, a console version would be lovely!
Its about TIME someone talked about these! My favorite mini game was from the first block party where you had to beat one of the penguins in a lolipop licking contest. The look of the lolipop, the challenge and the licking sound effect was satisfying to me. I found the game, and it's called Tasty Race. The lolipops and the sound effect are still satisfying, however you face off against the opponents and the penguin just watches.

I remember when the first Block Party came out that Skipper's model was Rico instead. I can't remember if Rico was originally intended to be playable or if this was a mistake on the developers part. Non the less this was later fixed for Skipper to use his own model.
Nick Block Party was for me what Mario Party was for kids who grew up with siblings or friends: A glimpse into how rageful you can become, as you watch the things you earn be ripped away by other players (or in my case the computers). I remember the minigames being INCREDIBLY finicky, good to know it wasnt just me being bad as a result of being like 8 years old also, there was a nick kart racer game around the same time, it was 3d, maybe talk about that in another video if there's more than just one (the game is Nick Racers Revolution 3D)
I remember playing Block party 1 on a 2009 iMac. (I think, it even had a built in dvd player) and my brother fucked something up and the computer started smoking black smoke from the top and the screen turned off, and the computer was forever broken after that. This happened while I was playing block party 1.
Hi! I was there when the first one came out. I didn’t play nearly as much of it as the Super Brawl or SpongeBob games because I’ve never been too fond of most Mario Party and Mario Party-like games, but it’s cool to see this covered and to finally see where the series went after I tuned out. I’m glad you mentioned the music, the first Block Party has some unexpectedly good tunes (when they’re not being recycled from Super Brawl 2). I just wish they were longer. My favorites are the Zeenu board themes. Something else that always amused me about the first Block Party is that you can very obviously tell it’s made by the same team as Super Brawl. The way the characters are drawn, rendered, and animated are very similar. Even the backgrounds with the PS2-era model and texturing work evoke the stages in Super Brawl, especially the ones for the SpongeBob minigames. Cool video as always!
Oh my god I totally forgot about Nick Block Party, I used to play this very very often back in elementary school. Seeing some of those minigames again hit like a TRUCK. Had no clue they made sequels though.. Was really nice to see this again :')
I remember playing the first game a lot as a child. While I was stoked to see squeals were made I just felt bored playing them. The first game is definitely the best Block Party game.
The First Nickelodeon Block Party game was always my favorite one to watch when I don't play the fighting games. The music was always very catchy to me and love using SpongeBob, Mikey and Fanboy.
3:38 I hope they made lotsa guacamole bars! NOTE: If you're wondering why I said "guacamole bars" instead of "spaghetti", it's because the Jimmy Neutron Wiki says Sheen likes guacamole bars.
Something that bothered the hell out of me was that in the first game one of the trivia questions was “What is Mr. Krab’s first name?” and it said the correct answer was “Pablo” or something similar. Like what?!
Honestly, I REALLY like the 1st and 3rd games! I think it would be cool to make a BIG Nickelodeon Block Party game with LOTS of different Nickelodeon shows and characters that didn't get represented yet, like Danny Phantom, Hey Arnold, Fairly Odd Parents, Rocko's Modern Dog Life, and My Life As A Teenage Robot to name a few! Maybe even have it made by Gamemill Entertainment as well!
Thank you for covering the Nickelodeon Block Party Series, but I really wanna know of whether Lucilium is joking or if he actually has a personal bias of Sheen after he said that the Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius is an “obscure show”. (Even though the internet sure does love Hugh Neutron!)
Which nick shows would yall want for a future block party game? These two shows are long gone but a Danny Phantom or My Life as a Teenage Robot board could be cool to see imo
Glad someone made a whole video on this series, whenever I felt like playing a crossover Nickelodeon game in the 2010s that wasn’t a Brawl game or a sports game I would always go back to the Block Party series. I am definitely nostalgic for the first one the most as it’s just a genuinely good party game I would just always go back to. The second one I didn’t really like much so I tend to just go back to the first one. I did play a bit of the third one some years ago and I did enjoy it like the first one. I actually wouldn’t mind if this series got the Super Brawl treatment like you said but we’ll see
That Sheen joke would've been better if you said he was from Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius & then had a very briefly seen text said that "WE DO NOT TALK ABOUT THAT OTHER SHOW".
I was hoping you would make a video about this after you’re Super Brawl vids. Personally the first is my favourite and I have a lot of nostalgia over it. Now all we need is a console Nick Mario Party clone.
A sorta funny memory I have of this game is playing this game while waiting to be picked up to go to the hospital for whatever reason Anyways the 1st game holds up surprisingly well considering I haven't played it in years
I do wish mp game studio was still around, yea that’s the reason why they stopped making games after the first block party, they shut down, so sad because their games are actually fun
Considering we had super brawl evolve to nickelodeon all star brawl Itd be cool if we can have block party evolve to Nickelodeon Party or something like that hwheh
