A 2 decade fan of the Metal Gear staff. I listened with glee and many a laugh. The duo was great and the story well told, the mentions brought back good memories of old. So from one loyal fan, I want to say thanks! And oh, do watch out for the holiday tanks!

Even if doing voiceovers for the Metal Gear franchise is considered the "highlight" of their career it's still more than what most people have accomplished. Their great voice acting performances are forever immortalized with these games and millions of people around the world know who they are. That's no small feat IMHO. Excellent job guys! 🎄😁👍

I'm just imagining Snake dressed as Santa Claus sneaking his way down the chimney with a bag full of presents clenched in this fist, and when he makes it to the bottom, he looks up at you covered in soot and says, "Kept you waiting, huh?" *!*
Well, he's done working with Kingdom Hearts 3, so it's possible he won't be busy anymore for the time being. I doubt the Turks would be voice acted anytime soon in the FF7 remake.
As a huge fan of the Metal Gear series since 1998 this was just simply fantastic on so many levels. This was creative, clever and humorous also performing as Solid and Liquid just made it even better. Thank you Cam and David, the love and appreciation you have shown towards the Metal Gear Fandom over the years has been truly exceptional, I rank this video 'Big Boss'. Oh that's nothing. Once I got tickets to "A Night at the Improv" featuring all the recurring cast members of Whose Line Is It Anyway, sans Drew Carey and Wayne Brady (dammit), and halfway through I wish I had brought a Vicodin with me because my face was in fucking agony!
Well we all got what we wanted, Cam Clarke and David Hayter back together. And yes, I loved it. "I'm a disembodied elbow". Well when you put it like that, the whole Metal Gear story is a bit ridiculous.

I would prefer a metal gear solid game, were you play as liquid snake, long before the shadow moses incident. His days with the SAS, and time during the gulf war.
Holy shit, Cam Clarke hasn't lost a step on doing Liquid at all. Dave was also much less growly this go around, I liked it, sounded more like his original MGS1 performance. What is this, 1998 all over again?
ICantSplel His portrayal of Snake and Big Boss in MGS4 and Peace Walker respectively, was all about voice direction. It’s what the director wanted. He can still do a younger Solid Snake quite well. The Ford commercial he did a couple years ago was pretty good.
@@ninboy01 true, but the difference between MGS1 Snake and MGS3 Snake is quite a bit more growly; granted, it's really another guy, but even MGS1 and 2 Snake sound different.
That's the thing, Hayter does a good job as a young Snake, but he doesn't seem to do to well when it comes to a more aged//worn and torn voice, which is why I didn't have a problem with Sutherland in Phantom Pain. Really didn't like his (Hayter) voice in Peacewalker, was hard to understand at times even with earbuds//headphones while his voice work with the younger versions of Snake (and to some extent Old Snake in Guns of the Patriots) were nice and clear.
RG07 Gaming yes, he still voiced both versions of Big Boss in the end, but they are still two different characters and Kojima knew he had to recast the role eventually. Maybe it was due to the coma or just eventual voice changing with age, but it needed to happen with how MGS4 ended. I don’t like the whole “Venom and BB rode off as best friends” angle, but I am totally on board with having David as Solid and allowing Big Boss to be his own character.
@@jakedizzle he did? Was it cause of casting Sutherland for big boss? Cause I didnt like the decision at first but it grew on me. David will ALWAYS be snake though
Not to sound like an ass, but I hope that doesn't happen... without Kojima the series is pretty much dead. Metal Gear Survive? Ugh. And I love David Hayter too.
Had to watch this again in 2019 Christmas season. Simply brilliant. I hope you guys do another video as Snake and Liquid again....even reading a shopping list would be great!

Chaz Strain No, MGS 1, 2, and 3 are amazing. 4 is bad, and TPP is even worse. MGS4 is basically a cutscene instead of game. The only good part was the end of the game, everything involving Sunny and Naomi made me want to vomit, and the games only real saving grace is Ocelot.
With a smile on my face and tears in my eyes, I had to say, I was quite pleased with you guys. The fact that you scheduled something so silly, shows us all that you care, even when the temperature is chilly. Merry Christmas to the snakes, the fox team and the bosses, hopefully the next metal gear game... won’t involve pachinko arm tosses...
@@jcast39atmsn They aren't that friendly now, but I'm sure most people would be when he goes ahead and makes a new game without even telling the previous voice actor of the main character, replacing him with a "bigger name".

Words fail to describe how amazing this is to me. I have seen plenty of celebrity guest appearances on a lot of RU-vid videos or television series, but this truly is the greatest reunion I've seen in my life. Metal Gear means so much to me because it was the first video game my parents let me play without supervision back when this came out, and since then Metal Gear has always been in my life ... the brother of light and the brother of dark together again... I really cannot express how much I love you both Hayter and Clark.
Clearly no one remembers David didn’t speak as both Solid Snake and Big Boss in MGS4...they were meant to become different characters and VA’s overall, or did no one actually consider that!? Kojima knows what he is doing, never ever question that fact!
Absolute majestic performance by the Snake's couple: the amount of references and/or potential "hints" in this hilarious script it's simply glorious!!!
