The book completely ruined Dr Finkelstein. First he seemed like an over barring parent not a kidnapper or abusers . And you'd think he'd at least upgrade any he'd discover and not create at least re-create And I thought Sally was a frankstien at least a rag doll made of humans corpses
I think Sally will make a wonderful pumpkin Queen especially since she was imprisoned by Dr Finkelstein Sally seems to be like a princess locked away in the tower kind of like Rapunzel but different but sometimes I wish Sally and Jack would have a descendant in the sequel perhaps a pumpkin princess that they would call Selene after the moon goddess and besides her name rhymes with the word Halloween she would have the beauty of her mother Sally but like her father Jack she wanted to get inspired for Halloween you know what I mean?
I am currently reading “Long Live The Pumpkin Queen” and I’ve been loving every minute of the story, I am a huge fan of “Nightmare” and Sally, I love her, I dress up as her every year for Halloween and I think a sequel all surrounded around her in a book is the best and I hope it gets made into a film but I feel like with all the Disney movies being made into Disney + series, I would love to see “Nightmare Before Christmas” series especially since it’s a very popular movie, I think a series is exactly what it’s missing, so I’m totally down for a series on Disney +.
unfortunately tim burton doesn’t want a sequel because he believes it’ll get rid of the charm the movie already has. but i don’t think it would, it would be amazing to see these characters again.
I would like to see more of Jack & Sally’s relationship together , that ended the original film . With this question , can a rag doll could be given a heart ? Jack reprises the role of stealing another folklore from another holiday . Valentines Day ! If you want to make a sequel , it’s has to be the same story from the original film .
I read Long Live The Pumpkin Queen in one day - the story was engaging and Sally was so relatable, yet strong. I grew to like her so much. As a humongous fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas, I was of course wanting this book as soon as I heard about it. I just love it! Please, Tim Burton, approve this for a movie!
@@abigailxclouds hundreds, if not thousands, of times. In fact, I watch NBC every day from Oct 1 all the way through to New Years. I even know Sally’s birthday. None of this is important, mind you, compared to actual problems. And more importantly why do you care? You think you’re so special that you want to ask such a question? You think you’re somehow going to “knock me down a peg” by being the world’s biggest bunghole? Typical white idiot girl on RU-vid. I’m not impressed. You want to impress me? Why don’t you go do something useful instead of being a jerk? Oh wait, you can’t. Being a Karen is in your DNA. Go to Starbucks and demand a manager or something. That way you can be semi-useful as someone to laugh at.
I think u replied to my comment saying mean things and then deleted it? I think cuz I got a notification saying u said some mean things. If I was being rude, I’m sorry and it’s just I’m currently obsessed with it and was just curious on how many times you have watched it. Me and my sis are huge fans of it and she has know it longer then me by like a year or 2 I think? I’m not sure when she saw it but I already know more then her. And I only watched it a couple months ago. It’s just I have seen people say there huge fans but then turn out to be lying and say it only cuz they think it looks cool. And when I ask the liars (not u of course I believe ur a humongous fan) how many times they have seen the movie it turns out to be that they only watched it like 3 or 4 times. I haven’t seen it a lot but to me I think it’s a lot (compared to u it’s not much) but before I saw ur comment I thought it was a lot. I have only seen it 7 times but that’s kinda a lot considering I only saw the movie a couple, months ago. People being mean makes me sad and especially when there being mean to me. I’m already kinda sad and I have cried 9 times in the past 3 days. I’ve been pretty sad rn and mean people make it even worse. Please be nicer to people cuz some people are experiencing worse things then me and if they saw this comment it would probably make them really sad. So be nicer to people please 😊
@@abigailxclouds I absolutely will not be nice to anyone who attacks me and accuses me of being a liar. You’re damn right I’ll be defensive and call you every nasty word in existence for accusing me of lying! I don’t owe anyone any courtesy when they get nasty with me. You forfeit that when you attack complete strangers. You started this, and you’re mad that I’m ending it? Typical spoiled little bitch. Your issues are not my problem. Get over it and toughen up. You think I’m not ever sad? Just last week I seriously contemplated killing myself and almost did it. But did I make that your problem? No, I didn’t! That’s how actual depressed people operate, and you blaming me for your issues only proves how weak you are. So stop being a brat and get over yourself. You’re not special. Learn a lesson from this for the next time you think you’re so goddamn important. I don’t care about you or your problems. I’m not nice to mean people.
Thought Tim Burton said there would never be a 2 ? Though I’d sure love it , even more if it’s based off Sally’s book .. Even the story that was done for Oogie boogie‘s revenge game was really cool
I would love a sequel with the the nightmare before Christmas. That will be awesome! I would love to know what is next. I really want to see Jack and Sally and the rest of the Halloween town creatures.
This book is so good it HAS to become a movie. There’s enough plot and length for it to be interesting and hold people’s attention. Please please please make a movie!!!
They need to create a TV/Netflix special where Jack and Sally visit the other worlds/realms! That would truly be amazing! I’m sure many would want to see that and have wanted to se what the other holiday realms are like!
Honestly I can see long live the queen more as a one season series with a few longer episodes showcasing the scenes from the book. There are so much detail and gives a chance to have a good view of the worlds she visits.
I am also excited for the new “Santa Clause” Disney + series that’s coming out this year, it’s one of me and my family’s favorite Christmas movies, we always make sure to include to our list of Christmas movies to watch every year. We really love the first one the best!
can you also make Dennis and Winnie who will be grown up in wedding clothes, too for the cover the Hotel Transylvania 5 concept trailer just like Jack and Sally even though it will be called years later?
They could do so much with a sequel, and now that there is a follow up book. They could also make a short (I like the idea of the dog's point of view). I think wanting the project to be perfect and done in stop motion animation is what is delaying or stopping it from occurring.
I can't wait to read this book! I love Jack and Sally and will take more of their story any way I can get it! Book, movie, shorts, or series! Honestly, this magical world could expand and I could see all of those options working out wonderfully if executed properly. But as far as CGIing a sequel, Tim Burton is right. It would cheapen the overall franchise and destroy the realm of Halloween Town in this wonderful story!
This is my favorite movie, and I had no idea that there was gonna be a sequel! Sally would be the best pumpkin queen ever, and I would love to have more movies in the NBC universe
I'm hoping the sequel is Long Live The Pumpkin Queen. I bought the book a few months ago and read the whole thing (before, during, and after work) and it's REAAAAALLY good. I love the way it's set up. Definitely worthy of a sequel, especially as a film (if Tim Burton makes it cause his stop-motion animations are awesome)
I hope I can give a comment about how I love the nightmare before christmas so I hope there'll be a sequel because I love to see jack, sally and everyone in halloween town and that movie has been a part of my childhood every halloween and christmas! 🎃👍😍🎄
To be honest, I'm on the fence. I love TNBC, and I'm one of its biggest fans. I'm excited cuz: -more universe lore -more Danny Elfman -original cast comes back (except for actor/character deaths) -(hopefully) more stop-motion animation I'm not excited cuz: -we already got other sequels, so what makes this one the Most Official(TM)? -Disney has a bad record of sequels/remakes. They range from kinda good, to downright awful. -if live-action... do I even need to elaborate? It just feels more like this is gonna be a half-effort cash cow, and that makes me sad, cuz this is such a beautiful, awesome story that it deserves so much more than that.
Idk how they haven't had any sequels... like I know it's a classic and would be hard to out do..but it doesn't haven't to be about Christmas persay, we got how many different holiday trees to go through? I'd like to see a Thanksgiving one and name the movie "A thankful Halloween" or something. Dont have to be about a specific holiday Or anything either and could have Jack and Sally have a kid who heard about his dad's adventures in the past and got inspired to search out for his own holiday to explore not understanding the lesson jack learned from doing so and have Jack and Sally freaking out and now get to see them explore the other holidays rabbit holes together frantically looking for their kid. Having looked in all of them showing an adventure of it all getting to meet the Easter bunny etc. We then come to find out that their kid got stuck in Hanukkah 🕎 and they won't let him or her go because they want to convert em. So then Jack and Sally find out and have to seek out Santa once again and ask for his help to prove to Hanukkah that he is real and that is why he won't agree to convert because he's heard his dad's stories about meeting santa lol the twist being that oogie boogie survived and converted to the Hanukkah holiday all to get the whole skelington family together for revenge lol
I think a movie and a series of shorts would be cool. The series of shorts a storyline that visits each holiday town, with details. Each gets b celebration madness as we see in the beginning of Nightmare Before Christmas, the planning stage, then the execution. Ending with a fun rejuvenated version of the Halloween Town Celebration. The movie would be an adaptation or just really making the book into a movie, maybe we see Jack and Sally all cozy with some little pumpkin princesses and sweet raggedy princes, cozy infront of the fire, with their home decked out in Halloween Town version of Christmas they have now aka the days of snow they get. So Sally tells this story.
I'd rather have another musical like the first one. If anything that isn't the case will make me feel better. The songs are just so magical and enchanting .
Technically, there was a sequel and prequel. Nightmare Before Christmas: The Pumpkin King, a GBA game, took place before the original movie, and Oogie's Revenge took place after the movie.
Well, in the book: Long Live the Halloween Queen, part of the relationship is shown, for example the fact that they get married on the same hill where they kissed, the honeymoon is in the town of San Valentín during their stay, the He gives her a rose and says for the queen of Halloween, he spreads chocolate on her nose, he is flirtatious and in a moment he changes the tone of his voice and calls her the queen of Halloween or his wife, they kiss, they hold hands, Jack in Part of him wipes her tears and hugs her and when she tells him more he hugs her to his arms, she always thinks of him. Jack also tells her that he wants the best for her so that she feels like a queen. When he finds out what Dr. Finkelstein put him through, he gets upset and of course sends him to do 100 years of work and even tells him that he should give the lab to Sally and although the doctor was going to protest, he doesn't. He doesn't say anything because Jack suddenly makes a scared face when Sally loses hope and kisses him even though he's asleep, and a moment later he wakes up and squeezes Sally's hand and then runs her hair and gives her back. the kiss and then says why are you crying my wife 💖, when the (villain) of the story is looking at her as if he were going to attack her and she is afraid and walks backwards, Jack walks and stands in front of her, when He finds out about Sally's parents, then says he wants to meet them and when he finally sees them, he simply introduces himself saying he is Jack Skeleton, Sally's husband, when he finds out about everything Sally did alone, he really does it (because of how she describes it) he really seems to admire her like he's proud of her. I also like that Zero is loyal to Jack and also to Sally because he cares about them and loves them both.
@@AverageDonaldDuckFanWell, hopefully later on they will be encouraged to make the movie, because some took the book badly and said that it seemed more like fan-fic when in reality there are no such fan-fics, or at least not that I know of. But at least so that some of us do enjoy it and chanse and they surprise us with a latest book 👌
I honestly think Sally would fit the new look of animated Disney Princess films, like she needs her story told and animated. I need Sally The Pumpkin Queen movie.
I am a huge fan of Nightmare Before Christmas. I would love to see a full feature film as well as a series. This film is so rich with character that it deserves both, and so does its fans. I love it and hope to soon see some much awaited new Intel into the lives of its wonderful characters. Disney, please think of the fans!
Imagine if there's a sequel of Jack's new adventure with a new villain named krampus he kidnaps naughty and nice kids for getting revenge on Santa and destroy Christmas so Jack teams up with Santa's two elf helpers and A human last kid girl Polly on nice list who's little brother jim on naughty list captured as well, in a mission to rescue the kids defeat krampus with his imp minnions saving Christmas while santa and Sally stay behind waiting to hope everything will be alright on Christmas day. This film new songs new characters and animation.
The thing is, I’m Burton’s original poem, you do find out what happens to Jack and Sally when Santa comes back to visit them years later. It might not be as exciting as a full length movie or short, but it does wrap up their story. They get married, have kids and rule over Halloweentown.
I’m one of those leave my childhood alone people. Probably an unpopular opinion, but there’s so many sequels and thirds now of things that should just be left alone. This was the first movie I remember seeing in a movie theater with my dad and helped paved the way for my love of Halloween. It’s nice to just imagine what might happen in a story (especially one as iconic as this) in your own mind sometimes without having it spelled out by someone else.
I would like to see “Long Live the Pumpkin Queen” become a full 2 hour film to do the story justice & to experience the scenery of the other holiday towns. Adding a Danny Elfman soundtrack to the film. With Burton directing the film this time with the collaboration of Selick. Book os good enough for it not to be seen a simply a cash grab but a good story with developed characters and many of us have been wanting to see the other holiday towns which would be great to see on screen.
there was already a sequel and a prequel, they were videogames, for PS2 the sequel was Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge, then on GBA the prequel The Pumpkin King
With all the remakes Disney has been making and disappointing people, I'd love to see them take the animated shorts approach with Nightmare. I loved the Toy Story animated shorts they used to play on Disney Channel.
This is the second video I need to reiterate... The Nightmare Before Christmas was NOT originally a Disney film. It was released by Touchstone Pictures. Disney bought it in 2006, so not a black mark on their record but Disney buying up a classic because it could see that it was regaining popularity and they knew they could exploit it.
I was so happy when the called Sally the pumpkin queen, bc she truly deserves it, she kept helping jack(made everything possible), saved Santa (tried to), and warned jack. I love jack but he was being to selfish and wouldn't listen to Sally or gave her credit
a movie to give fresh point of reference for after what happened in the first movie then a series that actually goes more in depth with other characters
I'm a huge fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas, I saw it as a 10 year old at the movies. I watch it every single Christmas Eve. I do not think we need a sequel. It was such a perfect little film, the story completed itself. Just let it rest.
I'd rather see an episodic short series. Perhaps 1-2 episodes focusing on Sally being queen but I'd also like to see that day in the life of Zero. I just think making a full length movie will put more pressure on the series as a whole.
I think Pumpkin Queen would be much better as a series. It could be a great movie but it might feel rushed in that form. Also I think with Sandman as a villain they might add a episode showing his reign before Jack
As much as i would LOVE LOVE LOVE, a sequel movie, I think what it would work would be a series like hazbin Hotel or helluva boss, but obviously family friendly, that way it would be shorter and multiple episodes and be easier for the claymation, on Disney plus obviously.
We already have a sequel and a prequel. Prequel was about Zero, and sequel was Oogies Revenge, so unless the novel takes place after Oogies Revenge, it doesn't need attention. The game was a direct sequel to the film, if people don't know that story, there are plenty of RU-vid videos to catch up. I'm all for more of a good thing, but even with the kingdom hearts parts and sequel game, the sequel film would be long overdue like Hocus Pocus or Willow. Love Hocus Pocus, but after the sequel, the things I loved about the first were no longer relevant because it had a happy ending, but sequel did away with that to teach the same life lesson that Frozen did, Sisterly Love.
I would love to see a sequel movie. Even if Jack isn't the main but still have him appear occasionally. Also, another idea is still have Oogie come back and actually team up with Sally and possibly Jack to take on The Sandman
