THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE THE QUINCEAÑERA..

a ha ha thanks :) it was so crazy I didn’t even get to dwell on it bc I went to Mexico like 2 days after, but still left a lot of bad feelings toward some of my family members.

if you don't mind me asking what happened

karyns ortega soooooo basically someone that we invited had problems with one of my uncles (but my dad still invited him bc their close friends), and we thought they wouldn’t cause a scene bc Im my uncles niece/the other guy has known me since I was a kid. Well he brought a WHOLE bunch of strangers that were his friends. They came and everyone was like being friendly and stuff, until they got drunk. Then it all happened so fast, ppl were trying to hold my uncle and the other guy back from each other, obviously the other guys friends jumped in, and my uncles fam was dragging him away. Everyone got so bold and then it turned into a MASSIVE brawl. It was so crazy, I remember ppl (men and women)that weren’t even involved fighting just because the other guys friends wanted a fight. There were kids running around crying seeing their dads fight, woman begging their husbands to stop, even jumping in if their husband was getting beat. I had to literally grab a baby out of a mothers hand bc she was trying to protect her man from one of the strangers ( he was almost unconscious). I literally danced one song with my dad and then we saw the commotion of them trying to argue and stuff and then obviously that’s when everything happened. All of my decorations and centerpieces were broken (we used glass) , some chairs and tables that we rented also were broken, and ppl were jumping other ppl. The cops were called, the group of strangers tried to leave but I think the cops caught up to them. After, ppl were crying coming up to me apologizing for their husbands/ dads actions, but tbh I was literally seeing red like I was the maddest I’ve ever been in my life. I just remember my aunt taking me to her house so that I could calm down and sleep. Wellll morale of the story I cut off my uncle and the other guy, and what’s crazy is that neither have even mentioned it like they are trying to brush it off as if they don’t know how much that hurt me, after me being literally the only niece that is respectful to him and actually greets him in a friendly manner (my other girl cousins don’t acknowledge him as an uncle) , after all the sacrifice that my parents made for me too be able to have my special day, just for them to do that at MY party, is wild af. * I just realized how much I wrote😂 it felt good to get that off my chest. But my advice for any quinceañera girls is to not invite ppl that you know how issues, especially if you know they’ll get drunk, bc as much as you believe in them and trust that they won’t cause a scene, even family will fail you.
