My biggest question is not why they weren't invited but why they want to go in the first place? Surely Lloyd and cole should know the last time they attended a tournament, they had their powers stolen and Lloyds father had to banish himself to stop Chen so it seems really weird for them to be so desperate to attend

Probably because the ninja think it’s the only way to get Kai back. Maybe by winning it they get some prize or something that could bring him back using the blood moon.

It’s not a matter of the ninja being overqualified, as tox will be competing. You know, “my poison is stronger than tiger widow “ tox? Also keep in mind Ras’s line at the end of s2part1: I will corrupt the tournament of the sources. I’m 90% sure that the ninja will get uninvited in an illegitimate way.

My theory is either - they have to qualify themselves in the tournament and the ninja were a little late or - there was some sort of assessment that the ninja didn't do to apply/qualify idk- just my thoughts-

Maybe the ninjas weren’t invited because of Arin and Ryue who don’t have powers this could be wrong but I think there was something that said spinjtzu and shader spin aren’t allowed in the tournament so since Arin only knows spinjtzu and has no powers it made the ninjas not qualified.

Maybe Spinjitzu Users aren’t allowed in the tournament and thus if you use that or any form of it your disqualified same can be said for Rising Dragon and Shatterspin they strictly want people who use elemental powers because it’s a tournament to test how in tune they are with the elements. Perhaps Jordana makes up a name for her Magic thus cheats/enters

But the tournament is the tournament of sources so that should mean how well you are able to control and use your power given to you by the source of the powers , so should spinjitzu or shatter spin not be a way of them using their powers well as for both spinjitzu , shatter spin and rising dragon you need to have a power or be a dragon si it should be allowed

I wonder whether there will also be tension between Cinder and Ras in the second part. It doesn't look like Ras told Cinder that there was a way to defeat Shatterspin, so Cinder thought he was invincible with it.

I have a theory. Maybe the nightmares in the cave of their fears were true. Nya feared jay wouldnt know who she was, maybe because he LOST HIS MEMORY. Maybe Wu is alive but held captive by Ras later in part 2 according to Lloyds fear. More to backup the theory of jay being recruited by ras is the lightning in the screen of soras fear about ras and beatrix

I highly doubt the people running the Tournament(or Dragons) would keep the Main Elemental Masters, Plus Lloyd and Nya, out of the Tournament. It has to be maybe the Administration or yeah Wolf Clan person. Maybe the Mailman will be back and FORGOT to give them their invitation, proving he is truly evil(plus keeping Jay's inheritance letter).

I think they werent invited because of them being a team, if the source dragons wanted the tournament to be fair theyd invite elemental masters that arent considered to be allied together. That way the ninja couldnt theoretically work together to rig the outcomes of matches
