This season has the best aspects of Ninjago; the shock factor of not knowing who's next to take the fall, the worldbuilding, one of the show's greatest villains and great character development.
I personally would put it last because I feel it focused too much on Jay. Other seasons would have a main character, but not have him be the ONLY character, unlike this season where pretty much all the other ninja are irrelevant besides Jay.
Nadakahn might be my favourite Ninjago villain and probably the smartest villain the ninja has ever faced, he was able to manipulate and twist people's words, leaving everything they say to be subjective and said in a state of confusion/panic where they wouldn't think of the possibilities. Because of that, he was clever enough to pick off every ninja one by one, and only leaving Nya and Jay left. I know later in the season he becomes kind of unsettling in a bad way where his obsession with Nya gets really overdone but still that doesn't take away from me enjoying him as an overall villain. In fact, he technically won in getting Delara back and turning Ninjago into his home Genjago, if it wasn't for Jay's final wish Nya would be dead, Lloyd would still be permanently old and the city wouldn't be crushed by falling islands
the Overlord was also a pretty smart villain as well, considering he was capable of setting up plans years in advance as if he knew the events that would happen beforehand such as setting up garmadon as evil in preparation for the day where he would one day possess him and assume the form of a dragon
Dude FINALLY. I literally know no one else that shares this opinion. In fact my friends that still watch the show are like “Skybound’s mid” or “Ending is trash” like bro just pls I need people to tell me it’s good
Eye like it, but not sure what is my favourite season. 2018 was the best year for Ninjago in my opinion, but Crystalized is the season eye rewatch the most. Anyway, love Ninjago as a whole.
Been watching ninjago since 2014, believe me bro not only as a jay fan but as a Ninjago fan it's the best/2nd best season of the show. Seasons 4-6 we're the pinnacle.
This season is such a guilty pleasure of mine. It has some issues that are valid but don't pull down the season. The season is very creative. A Magic Jinn that commands a group of steampunk sky pirates is just a very cool idea on paper alone. And the characterization of Jay and Nya is really good. Also I really like the ending.
Weird detail - the Master of Lightning married an actor fourty years before the show. When the show starts, Jay is a teenager. Meaning it took them over twenty years to have a child.
@@BlazePlayzGames62 It isn't new information that the elemental masters were already pretty old when they had kids (I think Kai's father was around two hundred years ago or something?), but it IS new information that Jay's parents were already married fourty years ago. And Jay's father is not an elemental master, he is a normal human with a normal human lifespan. As far as we know.
While I do understand why this season is so loved, my personal favorite is season 4: Tournament Of The Elements I would like to see your opinion on this season as I consider it the best with sky bound in a close second.
I REALLY liked this season, but I didn’t like how Ronin so easily turned on the ninja, I mean, he totally would’ve done that at the *start* of the previous season, but by the end of the previous season, he befriends the ninja and he even sacrifices ALL his profits for them, so the fact that he turns on them *for* money after it was clear that they were good friends kind of undermines the event of the previous season and that disappointed me a bit (this is just my opinion, though) Also, if Cole’s a ghost, he can’t respirate, and therefore can’t radiate heat and therefore can’t show up on thermal camera, but whatever, I guess
This is my favorite season. Nadakhan is a straight up narcissist, and I LOVE it. Jay is the perfect character to use for and underdog-style plot line. And the ending was honestly the best course of action in a situation like this considering literal chunks of Ninjago were hovering over the rest of the landmass. If Jay didn't wish for everything to be reversed, either the chunks would've basically turned Ninjago into a wasteland and killed millions of people, or they would've been left floating with little to no access to that land ever again.
Ronin using thermal vision to catch Cole makes absolutely no sense. If he’s a ghost, and ghosts aren’t living, Cole wouldn’t have a heat source. So Ronin wouldn’t be able to see him with thermal vision.
Skybound has always been my favourite season. Ever since I was a kid. Loved it. Jay being the focus was great. The villain is one of the best. Genies are awesome.
Jay actually wasn’t adopted before sky-bound. It, just like some floating islands in DOTD, simply didn’t revert after Jay’s last wish. In season 1, Ed and Edna refer to Jay as “their greatest invention” and he is directly stated to have been born in a junk yard. I really can’t see Ed and Edna lying to Jay about this without Natukan getting involved. It definitely doesn’t revert after, though, as I recall Jay talking about being adopted in a later season, and also his wish could have possibly changed the past seen in season 7 as well.
I have one small problem with this and it's for only one scene when ronin is capturing the ninja he uses thermal vision and cole is a ghost and can't radiate heat
I still don't understand why a ghost has a heat signature...wouldn't it be the other way, they'd be freezing cold? also I actually like the scene where Zane wishes it all away...makes him actually feel more human actually, he loves Pixal of course he's gonna act on emotion more if she was just erased before his eyes...if he acted on logic in that scene, it would have sort of made him a bit too robotic also...you cannot tell me that the ending was not an unintentional hint at season 7
Great Video, Skybound is also my favourite season. I actually haven't watched any ninjago season in months, not even the new show that im not gonna watch until part 2 comes out
This season broight me back into the show for the season, they took waht made the s2 pirate epsiode fun and turned it up to 11. This season was a diamond in the rough
honestly, yeah. this is a really good season with an awesome plot. looking back, i wasnt bored at all during this season, but when i watched hands of time, i wanted to sleep lol
3:17 it's clear in seasons 5 and 6 that Ronin respects the Ninja but will betray them sometimes when he really needs a break. (throughout season 5 he learned to be less selfish, but when he's in a pickle in season 6, he still thinks for himself). The Island and Crystalized ruined his character and made him hate them. Even if season 6 never happens due to the final wish, it's very clear that Ronin respects the Ninja by the end of season 5. 10:57 this part is genius. If Nadakhan got Jay, he almost certainly would have had enough time to break him this time. Great twist that I never saw coming.
@@vadamsvengeance3219yeah in s6 he's annoying but he's not like annoyed with the ninja for doing their jobs. he just gives the usual villain "it's not personal" speech. But in the later seasons he's like they put me in JAIL ima get REVENGE for those TERRIBLE ninja and then 2 seconds later goes OMG they are cool and stuff and we should respect them
The sword of souls has to be the most powerful artifact in the entirety of Ninjago, the ability to trap someone’s soul and use there powers is overpowered
3:40 out of all the ninjas Jay and cole had a pretty good chance at escaping since Jay and Ronin literally had an entire chase scene and cole just being stupid he could've ran away
This season is mostly goat, but it had so many plotholes: -Nadakhan could use Clancy's wishes to win with Ninjas instantly -How did freaking emotionless robot lose with manipulating old man? -Why Nadakhan won't just hit ninjas with his sword? -How it's possible that wish that made Flintlocke fail at shooting didn't work? -How the freaking Anacondrai is green? He never used any of wishes? Not mentioning why did Cursed Realm and Djinnjago were destroyed, but not any other realm, it was explained in Dragons Rising 1 Episode 14
I think the reason Nadakhan needed them to wish themselves away rather than just striking them down is cause if struck down then they enter the sword conscious and can escape but if they wish themselves away then they enter unconscious
Honestly, I wonder how good Nadakhan and the crew of the Misfortune's Keep would be as One Piece characters with Djinjago being a floating island somewhere in the world.
I don't think possession is very good personally I get bored after the first few episodes due to it being a big boring fetch quest and Morro is a horribly executed villain he has no notable dynamics with anyone and his depth is exclusively explored in a flashback it's impossible for me to care about his existence
@Elico-du1oi yeah those parts are good but in general season 5 invests me in the first few episodes, I get tired of it for some reason and remain bored aside from some good moments
I don't get why I once didn't like this season. It might be because of it getting wished away, but it is really good, how did I ever not like it??? I don't understand myself...
It would have been cool if the reset wish only reset the events but not memories. And maybe if Season 7 would have been foreshadowed throughout this season, like, sometimes a Time Blade would randomly do something and after the reset, since everyone would keep the memory, Wu would figure out that soon enough, the time will come to face Acronix and Krux again.
This is the season that made Jay my favourite ninja. And for the ending, Jay, Nya and possibly nadakhan remember. But according to decided it is still in Zane’s memory so I don’t count it as a total reset.
this season may not be my favorite, but it’s one of my top 5 this show had great aspects of character development of Jay and the villains were really strong. But I didn’t like the aspect of how clauss just randomly comes back, I wish it was one of his crew that tried to save him trying to prove their loyalty to the captain. Overran this season is a 8.75
skybound is in my top 5 favorite ninjago seasons, but nadakhan is NOT beating the diddy allegations lmao. especially if you consider that even if the ninja were 18 at this point, nya is 2 years younger than them, and they were 14-15 in the pilot. so nya is 13, and i doubt that in season 1-6 FIVE YEARS passed. say nadakhan, i hear you like em young.
somehow in my opinion, this season is better than season 5. yh i get it. s5 is about lloyd getting possesed and really showed how much kai keeps his promise and the colour scheme is also nice but this one. IS SPECIAL-
I 100% completely agree. Some people might say its bad because of it's ending, but I figure they just ran out of time and that's why they did that especially since the 10 episode seasons were fairly new to ninjago at that time.
@@GERGLY He could make anything he wants come true, but he didn't. Instead of wishing himself unstoppable, he just wished for things that would help him minimally. And then he fulfills Jay's wish. Why does he grant Jay's wish? That makes absolutely no sense. Why didn't Nadakhan just do something else that was more to his advantage like he usually did?
I think the difference between someone wishing themself away and being struck by the sword may have something to do with the fact that Jay was conscious for a while in the sword and was able to rescue the others. Just a thought.
I feel like Skybound is peak when it comes to the Ninjas character arc, and I feel like Jay and Nya should have more turama from it after what they go through.
Although is far away from my no.1, it has so many great stuff in it. Nadakhan is one of the best Ninjago Villains, def top 5, the pirate whip is fantastic (imo nothing will ever be better than the ghost whip), the ninja being picked on one by one is amazing and characters like Jay and Nya get so much development
Looks like this video is going to be controversial. Jokes aside, I like Skybound and I agree with everything in this video except for the Dareth slander.
No way that skybound was the best I mean sure they had some good moments like when they fight using wishes but then when it comes to the very last episode Jay just wishes none of it ever happened
