@@studstudios6614 Yes, but the problem people have is Harumi is the reason WHY Garmadon was bad again. He didn't choose this. He sacrificed himself to save everyone, and she revived him this way, and ruined his legacy from before, and turned him against his own son, and everyone, because SHE is evil. And yet the writers have us pitying her?? Nah, she's a psycho, and never should have been redeemed. Lloyd was straight up apologising to her. She had no reason to be angry at Lloyd at all. He owed her nothing. Lloyd's father on the other hand, never asked for any of this, and really, when he was revived, he was like a zombie, he could barely speak, it wasn't really him, and they made this clear at the time. So, he was not directly responsible, anymore than say, Nya was when possessed, or Wu, Zane as the Ice Emperor, or any of the other ninjas when they turned bad. Yet Harumi had no such excuses, she was just a cold-blooded killer of her own adoptive parents, and wanted to make everyone suffer, because she wrongly blamed them. Garmadon wanted to be good again, and he has already earned the love of Lloyd. But Harumi has not earned anything. She's just a monster. So having Lloyd more angry at his father than her makes literally no sense morally, and the entire thing was annoying. It just made Lloyd seem like an irrational simp, and sent a toxic message about forgiving people who didn't deserve it.

@@KnightlyReviews When the counsel got their purple outfits by the overlord, they were also crystalized and got immense powers. That's why they're able to hold the crystalized golden weapons with ease. I'm sure that if Harumi fought one of the dragon form ninja, she'd lose

She has some of his own power which maybe gave her super strength?? But the sword is still average how did it slice such a thick arm off instead of breaking

@Luca Ganz we don't know what it's going to be about, only that it's not a reboot or a direct continuation.

Honestly, pretty good take. I think the changes you've suggested here would substantially improve the show. Also, I know this isn't a new series, buy call it that because of the massive shift in episode format, animation, and overall tone. I'm really glad you enjoyed!

A co-creator Tommy Andreasen who has been very active with the community on twitter (he just announced his departure from the show) wrote a could-be canon story that I think had Quanish in it. And on the wiki it says he’s the old man Jay and Cole thought could be Wu in the beginning of Sons of Garmadon. A casual fan would have no way of knowing any of that though, but for those in the know it made sense.

@@tahaimtiaz7554 Yeah. If you want to read Tommy Andreasen’s stories, one is called Way of the Departed (which I don’t think was ever finished) and Splinter in the Blind Man’s Eye (Which should be still in progress). I still have to read them.

Nya should not have come back

I personally have an idea that it's not necessarily oni power that can kill him but it is what can take away his immortality because he can't die because of the balance perhaps another being that's darkness like the overlord would mess up the balance and break his immortality maybe lloyd has so much anger that it makes there be to much darkness in ninjago and kills the overlord from there being so much darkness that he's no longer the important to the balance of ninjago and just fades away

I've seen a bit of it through Twitter and it looks insane. Definitely taking a break from Lego reviews at least for a while, but if I want to do now I'll definitely check it out though!

I honestly think it's functionality as a conclusion for the show hinges solely on the last few episodes of it. There are some missteps here and there but with how the series progressed I think it works. It pulls ideas and themes from the earlier seasons (basically just season 11 onward) to create a satisfactory ending. It could've been better, but with the nature of the show being what it is I think it was a great ending. Also I'm not smart enough in these videos to call them analyses but I appreciate the praise lmao

@@KnightlyReviews I guess my mistake could be that I watched Crystalized as a conclusion to the whole series ( Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu included). I mean, wasn’t it suppose to be a conclusion to the whole main plot? Crystalized was very reminiscent of the third season for me. Rebooted had Lloyd and Garmadon going on their own and learning from one another. The Overlord back then wanted his golden power, like Harumi wanted Lloyd to embrace his oni power. Also, the focus on romantic relationships reminded me of the love triangle haha. A problem I had, the Overlord not caring for Zane when he was the real one who put him asleep all those years - it was odd. The focus on only Lloyd was odd (felt like the Lego Ninjago Movie ^^’ ) Also, if Crystalized was just Ninjago, the villains they introduced from Forbidden Spinjitzu and then on, I would’ve appreciated more. Yet, they included Pythor and Mister E (Harumi to some extension ) and didn’t do anything. The main council should’ve been important adversaries -exception: King Vangelis’ , but a great example for what I’m saying, since he impacted Cole’s story. When the Villains took their golden weapons and their abilities, the Ninja defeating them after didn’t feel fulfilling. What does Jay have to do with Pythor? They definitely had a lot of missed opportunities and it makes me sad that Crystalized is the ending for those 11(10 for me) years. Don’t even get me started on the power of allies 😭 Yeah, my main issue could stem from the fact that this is supposed to conclude both Ninjago & Ninjago:Masters of Spinjitzu

@@Chipmunks4174 honestly, fair enough. I agree in the fact that the council should've played a bigger role in the overall story. The way they're implemented makes them feel like generic goons. While this season is supposed to be a conclusion to the entire show I think the writing staff was more focused with the themes of the newer seasons. It could been much better had they implemented more ideas from masters of spinjitzu. It feels like a missed opportunity but it didn't get too in the way of my enjoyment. And here's some food for thought; do you think the season would've benefitted with longer episodes? Cause if they returned to the twenty minute format I genuinely think that they could've fixed 90% of the issues the season is plagued with (lack of focus on the antagonists, lesser developed character arcs, bizarre pacing in the middle, etc.)

What would the Overlord do with Zane? Zane is a robot that appears at the last moment and destroys the overlord. Overlord messed with Lloyd the entire 2nd and 3rd season. Of course this season would be between Lloyd and Overlord.

Mr. F is the only villain to really fill that void, and nadaKahn was never released in this timeline. I still don't think he was a good choice, I'd prefer someone like indigo honestly. She'd at least provide something

Oh it just kinda sits nicely on top. The wool and the mic cover kinda friction enough(?) To stop it from moving, so as long as I don't fling my arm around it stays on. If it falls I just kinda pick it up and redo the line lmao

@@KnightlyReviews Yeah, it's just rather strange. I mean, yes, he's really cool in this form. Everyone loves his sarcasm, and the helmet etc lol. But it doesn't really fit with his character, and the storyline. I mean, Good Garmadon would want his human form back. He wants to redeem himself, and be accepted, not just oni. So, it just doesn't make sense. I have to assume that there must be some explanation for it, or the writers just didn't think it through, like they didn't seem to on some other parts of the story.

I literally thought they outright said that the overlord created the devourer lol. I thought it was just supposed to be a reveal to only Harumi, not a twist to the audience too

I thought he said he corrupted the great devourer, not that he created it. He did so with the intent of turning Garmadon bad, to use him. (Which is more of why we are supposed to feel more sorry for Garmadon, and not think him evil) They hinted to this way back in season 2 when the overlord waited for Garmadon to show up on the dark island, and said he had been planning this for thousands of years, and set Garmadon up. He laughed and told Garmadon that this was 'destiny', and there just happened to be four hands needed to resurface the island, but Garmadon just brushed it off at the time cause he was so fixated on making ninjago in his own image to get his family back. What got me, was this reveal didn't have Garmadon and Lloyd outraged, as it should have done, but Harumi instead??

I do like that this season sort of fixes the older lore. In Season 2 they talk about the final battle etc and Lloyd beats The Overlord Mark One. Except it’s not the final battle, we still got 12 seasons before Crystallised. But in Crystallised the characters start referring to the final battle when talking about Dragon Form, and when Lloyd defeats the overlord, we can assume that this is the final battle they were talking about as long as we disregard the doomsday clock from season 2. Also, let me just rant about how this season totally isn’t or shouldn’t be the end of classic Ninjago, because everyone’s saying Ninjago 2023 will focus on the next generation. Firstly, like every major villain is still around. Sure, Garmaddon is good for the foreseeable future, that’s fine I guess. But what about Pythor, Vangelis, Mechanic, Aspheera etc. I can believe that Ronin and the Sons of Garmaddon are redeemed, sure. Also, Nadakhan is still going around, we see like several references to him having been released by Clutch Powers. Not to mention the elephant in the room: The Overlord himself. It is stated in crystallised that you cannot kill the overlord, if there is conflict, the overlord will speed his return, granted, hasn’t been much conflict in cannon since crystallised, seeing as it’s the final season. But Ninjago 2023 will have some kind of conflict, probably leading into his return in Season 20-25. And, let’s say we skip 10 -20 years to Ninjago 2023, that won’t make sense. The villains I mentioned before aren’t going to wait around for this long. Finally I would like to talk about how dumb the Overlord’s plan is here. So, we know he can bring the recently deceased back and commune with them, he does this with Harumi, but why only Harumi? I mean there are several dead villains who would definitely accept his offer: Chen, Clouse etc. granted, maybe he wasn’t powerful enough to do this until Harumi died. That still gives us: Iron Baron, The Oni and Kalmaar. Y’know what I can forgive the others but KALMAAR! YOU ARE AN ALMOST OMINPOTENT BEING OF PURE EVIL AND YOU CHOOSE THE DAMN MECHANIC OVER KALMAAR! Let’s talk Vengestone warriors. Ok, Mr Overlord, your first army was almost invincible, but were destroyed because of The Ninja’s elemental powers, what is your best option. Wait, think about this, you have a serpentine witch who can steal elemental powers albeit temporarily. HE CHOOSES TO BUILD AN ARMY OUT OF VENGESTONE. NOT TAKE THE POWERS AWAY, BUT MAKE YOUR ARMY RESISTANT TO THEM. Y’know what I can’t.
