This dude Afro fought in low stance the whole time 🤦🏾♂️. You have to swap between high, mid, and low. High is good for damage, mid is a balance and good for defense, low is good for dodging. I had this problem at first too lmaoo
I mean it's an option to get better but you can just stick it out with whatever stance you want. Have zero problems so far on my run just going high stance
Muffin Gaming well high stance does the most damage that’s why. It’s a lot easier running high than low, it’s just a suggestion. Low only would be a crazy challenge though
One of the best parts of Nioh 2 is its legitimate references to historical figures from ancient Japan. For example Yoshimoto Imagawa and Hideyoshi Toyotomi’s portrayal is pretty accurate from the paintings in the Warring states of Japan. The ost’s are godlike too.
here is my theory- this man is no human but an alien from uranus of the sun his mustache was lost on his way here he has the rinnegan and all for one he focuses all for one on his fingers and the rinnegan on the screen he brought down the coronavirus from neptune and spreaded it he will kill us all
Yo Afro, being a pretty fresh player I'd recommend you go do the tutorials. You'll learn all about stance switching and ki pulse plus the new mechanics like burst counters.
he also needs to know that some weapon just dont work with others like Odachi and dual swords If he wants odachi build , he needs sword or axe as the secondary , because that makes sense stat wise
@@eathanneal9031 it's the learning curves that's the hardest and most ppl just aren't cut out for these types of games. But yeah I agree, once you learn deflecting in sekiro it becomes piss easy becuz of infinite stamina. Platinumed the game in a few weeks
"Is that a gun? No, it's just paper, guns wouldn't be around in this time period." If this is the time when Toyotomi Hideyoshi was around, then yes guns would have been available, at least to the Samurai class.
@medievalplayz8327 they were introduced to Japan via Portuguese traders in 1543, and became a mainstay of Japanese armies within a few years. Forget what you saw in The Last Samurai (although there WAS an uprising during that time in the film when Samurai fought against the Meiji government while refusing to use guns; the Seinan Rebellion, I think it was called, might be wrong) the Samurai were quite pragmatic when it came to war and took most advantages they could get. Tokugawa Ieyasu, who IIRC was an important figure in this game, or at least this time period, was somewhat famous for fighting with two guns, one in each hand, I believe.
I really hope so. I liked the sekiro series so much because you genuinely saw Afro improving and getting better at the game over time (for dark souls and bloodborne it was just him slugging through imo). So I want him to stick with Nioh and beat it.
3 essential tips. 1. Learn to change stances, high stance is high damage high stamina use, low stance is the opposite and mid is a median. Some people like to change depending on the situation, I'm midstance for life. 2. Learn to ki pulse, it's essential for stamina regen 3. Learn to burst counter, it's the best move in the game that allows for an armored stun that takes a huge chunk of the enemy's ki.
I have read some comments saying people stopped playing Nioh because of stances and ki pulse. You do not need to switch stances mid combo. Also if ki pulse is bothering you there is a skill that allows you to perform a dodge ki pulse instead of r1 that you unlock pretty early in the game. Also use phantom guardian spirit for easy burst counters.Burst counters not only negate damage but also open the enemy up to multiple attacks.Use grapple on out of ki enemies.I hope this helps to get people invested in this awesome game.
Helpful hint your missing a large part of the gameplay you should probably head to the tutorial and learn some strats. Like stance changing and ki pulse
Tips (no spoilers) 1. Sometimes after you attack there will be blue light around your character if you press a specific button (it was R2 I think in the first game) you can recover stamina you used doing that attack. This can help you do a combo chain and stagger the enemy. 2. This game puts more value in blocking then you may think so don't forget to block. 3. This game's progression has stats that you increase over time as well as upgradable skills and item upgrade you can find and or buy. 4. While this game doesn't have a build-in parry system from the start you can upgrade skills that will help you parry. 5. This game will intentionally hide upgrades from you across the map so you are incentivized to explore the map. 6. Sometime there will be enemies in place you may not expect (this game likes jumpscares and in general likes to play with you, at times you may think the enemy is dead and then you get shit on) so be careful I guess. 7. Some enemies have "territory" while in their territory your stamina regen will be slowed down (their territory can be destroyed) 8. This game lets you have pets that will help you in combat (it's super dope they are super cute, and I'm not talking about spirits you can choose from at the start of the game). 9. Some enemies can evolve so watch for that (for example they can eat corpses of other enemies you kill mid-battle to get stronger) 10. As you get introduced to new characters and new enemies you will get hud option "illustrations" which are basically cliff notes on enemy and ally lore and some of them may give you tips on enemy's abilities etc. To summarize: Yes you are supposed to beat mini-boss at the start of the game, this game is overall not easy and in the style of from software game kinda like a mesh of Sekiro and Dark Souls. That is not even the first real boss "real bosses" have names and they are harder then introduction mini-boss you fought.
5:30 So the character's lore is like Guts from Berserk >cut on eye from demons >damaged arm because of demon >has a little bit of demon (Guts has the brand of sacrifice and the Beast of Darkness) It all checks out. Nothing wrong with that though. Berserk is legendary.
Yo Afro, some mechanics from first game translate to here Most important I want to remind you is that depending on stance you do less or more damage and consume less or more ki, example If you use low stance like you were in this video you consumed less ki and attack faster but the damage is not so high If you use high stance you do more damage but consume more ki and attacks can be slow Please make sure to read all tutorials about the game. And combat opens up as you progress like counters and what not ^^ Hope you enjoy, stay safe
To everyone having problem with gozuki- Either start with or wait till you get dual hatchets Afterwards-keep tossing high stance heavy axes at this cow while retreating toward the entrace to the cemetry (where is That small roof, nearby first enemy) Gozuki ai either breaks and he freezes on the corner or he tries to get trought the gate and ends up stuck for some wierd reason, so you can Chunk him with throws without fear of retialiation
Don't forget to change stance your stance is your damage. Also when an enemy glows red, R2+circle while they're mid attack to do big damage and stun them. To change stance is L1+X, square, and triangle square is mid stance medium damage, X is low stance fast attack, triangle is high damage low attack speed.
"The editing I'm gonna have to do make sure this isn't demonetised is gon' be interesting." Literally five seconds after he said that, I got an ad for a webtoons website advertising a cartoon about a black market organ harvester gal who chooses to adopt/enslave one of her 8 year old victim's instead. If this is demonetised but we get ads like that, then that's some bullshit right there.
@@TheREALHugo4 Demonish? Eh, same difference. I'm only saying that because of how sick they are, and how similar they look. And, no. I haven't played Nioh2, but I am planning on it.
Bruh I haven’t been this exciting about playing a game alongside Afro since sekiro I do hope he gets all the mechanics down by the next video because god is it satisfying to fight in this game!
Just a small tip the reason you were doing so little damage was because you were using the low stance which specializes in fast but weak attacks, I recommend hitting the dojo snd trying all the different stances with both of your weapons to get a little familiar with them since it looked like you didn't wven consider or think about the stances in this video.
Okay, just a little spiel about the intro movie, the villagers welcomed him, THEN began to fear him. In real life it's usually the other way around, people make generalities and assumptions about what they don't know, and thus usually fear what they don't know, until they get to know the reality and nuance of what the thing, person, or group is. So if they initially welcomed him, THEN began to fear him, then their fears were justified based on his actions.
Can we play Co-op with you? Nioh 2 is a prequel to the first one, so you dont really need to know the first game. There is also a code system for how amazing each creation is someone can publish.
It’s a prequel @AfroSenju so no you don’t need to know about the first game. You’re also always able to re-customize your character so you’re never limited not even by gender. Just be sure to save your custom looks, it’s all done in the hut btw. You could also add me if you ever need an extra hand for tougher missions PSN: XENOTECHNO15
I think from what I watched on maybe PlayStation access a while ago it’s a prequel so I don’t think you need to know anything from the first one. Probably just helps with learning combat
Yo afro let's get a series going for Nioh 2. We need some Sekiro vibes on the channel fam....also afro you skipped the tutorial and got your ass kicked because you didnt learn how to fight brah!
I'm over here hyped as fuck cause I've always wanted to see afro play Nioh2 since I discovered the game was to be realeased, I simply can't wait for afro to have his second anime, lol.
Nioh is like the supermarket own-brand equivalent of a branded product. But hey, watching people get slayed in a game that is unnecessarily hard is fine by me
