The reason they won't let us up into the top floor of the taverns is because that's where they keep the centered capstans.

what if rare showed up to your house with 5 massive toolboxes and started tearing your house down in search of nitpicks

such unacceptable behaviour on Rare's end, I can't believe they would create such simple oversights as this

I was really hoping the lighthouse would have a light similar to the one seen in a pirate's life, imagine someone focusing the light on an incoming ship in the darkness so his crew can fire on them using the cannons on the outpost

It's hard to believe GeeNee went from a Blunderbussing PC pirate to The Nitpicking pirate. (P.S. the capstan on the sloop is STILL not centered)

It's crazy that a video packed with jokes has genuine ideas that are quite good and I'd like to see in-game, especially the one about the rock nearby being slowly chipped away at!

All old-timey fountain systems worked using gravity. So usually water flowing down a stream or river. The issue is there are no streams or rivers, it's the ocean, so somewhere hidden in the brickwork of Port Merrick is someone endlessly filling a bucket of water, climbing a set of stairs, emptying the bucket, going down the stairs, and repeating. Either that or Rare just didn't put that much thought into it. NITPICK.

I really like the removing rock idea. Perhaps a dock or two next to it for transporting the rocks via boat?

I want to Disneyland when I was a kid back in the late '70s and they had the pirates of the Caribbean ride. Just outside the ride they had a section of town that look like Caribbean cities at the pirates would be in or Louisiana old New Orleans type look. The thing of love about the Port Merrick, when the sun went down my first time on the port, it reminded me about the sun went down at Disneyland and walking through that part of the same part. Brought back some wonderful childhood memories.... Can't wait till it's done and see what looks like.

To be fair, Port Merrick's progress has been months in the making, so having cobwebs makes sense; the ivy on the buildings has also spread substantially since the main buildings were built. I think it's just to show that it's not only taking time in the real world, but also in-game. I don't, however, have a single explanation for the broken stairs other than it's Rare fucking with us. xD

Keep this up and someday rare will nitpick you.

You missed one. There is bare flat geometry on top of those arches where the roof tiles jsut dont cover.

They kinda do have a reason for the rocks, for merchants, you can buy a crate of rocks and they sell the most at port Merrill, however, I do think a rock slowly breaking would be a very cool idea

2:32 There's a three burner stove on the second floor of the tavern. It's a weird place for it, but it's there.

My nitpick is the yellow outpost flags at Port Merrick don't contrast with the white icons on them enough making the icons difficult to see. Easy to fix though. Make either colour darker or add a high contrast outline to the icon.

Please make one of these about the ghost forts and the stairs of invisible collisions!!! It seems like Rare copy/pasted the overgrown ghost fort and forgot to remove the collision aspect on that one. It’s soooo frustrating.

there were fountains in ancient Rome times, but they use the Gravitational energy of water coming down from mountains to cause the water to spurt up so it probably wouldn't work here

Why doesn't port merrick have a fishing tackle shop? That was kind of that chaps bag. Not even a few more fish statues, or a fleet of row boats for fish acquisition. I do appreciate the fishing spot in the pier, but I do not eat wood. Thank you sir for the great content.

spawned at it today... could find the merchants alliance... but it took me a solid 6 minutes to find the gold hoarders BECAUSE ITS HIDDEN BEHIND THE ORDER OF SOULS I didnt know there were signs so i was running around and honestly i was practicing my sword lunge as I never done it before and i made some airtime on certain lunges) and then i followed the signs that i thankfully saw.... Its such a confusing place for a person who has not played for a year or so Even when I did play... i played one week every month or so... so my skills never improved from newbie level
