Move Shoot Move is relatively new to the astrophotography world, and in this video I review one of their newest products, the NOMAD star tracker mount for wide field Milky Way astrophotography. This little mount can carry almost 8lbs of camera gear with no counterweights and track accurately and quietly for 5 hours on a rechargeable battery inside. It’s very simplistic and that is what makes it fun and easy to use.

What the difference between this version 2 and the previous version 1? Version 1 had time-lapse ability, so whats makes version 2 stand out even though time-lapse feature is dropped?

This one does not have the time lapse features built in. This one though is a smaller, more portable and lighter weight motorized star tracker than almost any other option out there. I’ll be taking it out under the sky next week for some real astrophotography with it!
