The Nordic New Years Routine - ASMR 

Hope you all had a very happy New Years ❤🌲 I just wanna say thank you for another amazing year, I'm so happy that you keep showing up and watching my videos ❤

There is something in my soul that responds to the sounds of wood being chopped, crunching snow, a match being struck, wood being laid, doggie paws crossing the snow, the soft background of the wind through the trees, ice cracking . . . These are the sounds that harken back to a time long before ours when life was not easy, but was honest, with each event being considered, each action having a purpose, each moment of rest being savored. The frigid water, the warm crackling of the fire . . . Part of a more conscious life. The contrast with the frenetic race to please the boss, get the new car, host the perfect party, obtain more and more . . . The desperation of “modern” life . . . Thank you for sharing the meaning and sweetness of a life lived with intention.

in the first minutes i thought how boring... then at one point everything changed, my whole body relaxed, my mind stopped worrying, I stopped being stressed and just realized how i needed that... :) sometimes we don't know why we feel so ill and weak and stressed because we don't realize anymore how busy and "loud" life and society impact us...

Thank you, Kalle. For letting 2022 slide away into the immense sky of a winter's night, with the silence and pace of nature at rest. And then, although really just a continuum, for 2023 to arrive in the way we humans love to mark important times-- with community and joy! Do you catch colds with doing this and your wet hair afterwards? My mother allways said, never go with wet hair outside in the cold. I'm grateful you don't catch pneumonia - by going in a lake in the middle of winter. I still live in Minnesota - and can't fathom that. The lakes are still too cold for me in May! The only practice close to this is those who have a sauna would maybe go in the snow (briefly)..............

Hej, Kalle! beautiful video. You some how managed to capture the warm feeling that comes with good company. Just a quick tip when making the hole in the ice you don't have to lift those have blocks on top of the ice. Instead "shove" them under the ice itself with the metal pole. As someone who fell hopelessly in love with the swedish nature and country more than 30 years ago, videos like yours are the perfect way to satisfy my longing for the north. The Nordics have changed my life. My best time in life was in high school when I had no worries at that time, but after that life hit me pretty hard. I'm actually coming up with a resource that helped me become the man I am today. I used to live in Miami being around street violence, guns, death, and I even used to eat $3 a day, 25 cents noodles, expired toast and canned campbell tomato soup. I survived the Boston Marathon Bombing which was a few feet away and I saw all the blood the people screaming and I was alone at 18. I also used to live in a room with no kitchen, trash bag as a window and bugs crawling on me at night. I also took boxing to protect myself and learned how to defend against bigger threats. Now I live in a cabin in the north of Sweden where I go down to a lake to breathe and heal my past and I post on RU-vid to help others who need it the most 💜
