You and I are almost the same exact build and I opted for the medium. It is just slightly bigger than I’d like it but judging from video, the small would have been just slightly too tight. Especially when reaching up or down for something. Thanks for the help.

Im 5’7 and weigh 155. Waist size is also 32. I ended up getting a Medium Apex jacket because i needed the extra room for layering. But thanks on the vid! Really helpful.

for him, if he wanted a more fit, tailored look, small works. but if he wanted to layer underneath with a fleece or down mid layer, it would probably feel more restrictive and tight. i layer with Patagonia Base layer to wick away sweat, North Face fleece to insulate and absorb some of the sweat, top off with this apex bionic for wind/water resistance. I prefer not to go down mid layer since Goretech doesnt allow soft shells like this jacket to breathe well as others, to let body moisture escape. Goretech provides more water/wind resistance in exchange for breathability

So I just got a size small for black Friday and I've been contemplating sending it back for a size Medium. I had these back in high school and size small was perfect and even roomy, but with the Apex 2 I think they've re-designed it for a slimmer build. For reference, I'm 5'7, 165 lbs. Waist 33

With the small do you think you would still be able to fit a sweater under?

The sleeves are supposed to be long for these types of jackets. Guy in video needs a medium. The small is too tight for his build.

I have found that they are not true to size I usually wear a large and found that I had to go up a size
